An English Version of Gadu-Gadu?

Im currently tracing a polish girl and she use GG really often. I dont even know Polish at all and Im trying to use it, but recently i dont know why it doesnt work anymore. i cant even log in it show that (Niedostepny). can anyone help ?? pls.....

niedostępny = offline. Something wrong with Ur internet connection or wrong server pass? Try register new gg number.

For an English version of gg you could try alternative client rather than the original gg. Try pidgin for example: pidgin.im
It might not support all of the functionality of the protocol but chatting should work! :)

No need to worry - I'm sure you'll be able to cope :) There's a compiled version for Windows and installable exe to download -> simply download and install as you would do with any other software. From there it's pretty much like any other IM client - and there is plenty of documentation available too.

I can't past in the link unfortunately - go to main 'Piding' page and click 'download' -> 'windows' to download the exe.

How can I register gadu gadu? I have pidgin that supports GG format but how do I register for the actual GG number itself? Thanks evryone. No Polish answers please, I only speak english :(

Gadu-Gadu uses its own proprietary protocol. As with ICQ, users are identified by unique serial numbers. Protocol's features include status messages, file sharing, and VoIP. The official client provides over 150 emoticons, allows grouping contacts, sending SMS and integrates with other services ran by the same company: a virtual Internet dial-up, a social networking site MojaGeneracja.pl and an internet radio Open.fm. Because of this, many users consider newer versions bloatware, so the older versions are still common.

Gadu-Gadu allows its users to add personal information to a "public directory", available publicly to search.

Many unofficial plugins have been created to expand its capabilities.

Try Palringo...I use it on my iPhone which allows me to use Gadu Gadu and MSN Messenger. You can add and delete contacts in Gadu Gadu through Palringo. You can also use Palringo on your desktop PC or laptop, just need to register at the Palringo.com website, its free!! Hope that helps?

Nope, it's really quite advanced. You can use any SIP client as well as Skype. I would love that you can use the phone as a dial up device so you can access data whilst having no GPRS signal.

It's only a theory. I have never managed to have a voice chat on GG even though I tried many times. I will never understand why Poles don't use MSN.

Must give it a try. i have skype, msn, yahoo messenger, google talk all eating up my resources....
What I do like about yahoo messenger is that it tells me the moment I have an email (bt/yahoo).

Nimbuz lacks a desktop client. You also can't see history. you can try pidgin. If you had a mac then Adium would be perfect for you.

I use Pidgin on Linux, but before all you windows users cry, it's also on windows.

It does all the major protocols, and has the benefit of not having to put up with those flash ads that gg has.

U can use any jabber client e.g. Psi – which has Chinese language support. Just Google that…

Gadu-Gadu 6.0 build 141 wersja angielska (emoty.com.pl/download,gadu-gadu,instalki.htm), but I think It's just a hack that works by exchanging the exe file, you'll still have to download and install Polish version of GG with the same build number. Another alternative you have is to use the English version on the web, WebGadu without installation: web.gadu-gadu.pl/, or just register through that page and use Jabber or any number of similar clients.

I have something called Kadu-Kadu. But I don't remember if I downloaded it because I have a mac, or because I couldn't find an english Gadu-Gadu, but you might check out Kadu-Kadu and see if that works out for you :)

I have a polish friend using tlen messenger, but i can't talk with him because I don't have tlen account and it's not suitable with msn, yahoo etc. and it is all in polish, also gg. I downloaded gg but I don't understand anything. Do I have to get a polish account for talking with a tlen account on messenger?
