Btw, that perfume has to be put into something and someone has to design such perfume bottle, so it would look nice and sell well. And in order to design that bottle you have to be able to draw it. And that's how art courses come into the picture!

As you can see all kinds of arts are involved in this process - traditional art (sketching and drawing the concept of the car), computer graphics (drawing the 3D model of the car), sculpting (creating the life size model of the car) and fabrics design.

When did anyone ask you about Polish kings or the capital of Peru at a party or during an interview? I have four granddaughters. They speak the kind of English you never will be able. Yet, the 11-year-old - with her perfect English - wouldn't be able to explain the difference between adjectives and adverbs but she has zero difficulties using them correctly. 100% of the time.

Another example...I "studied" Russian for 7 long years. After graduation, I wouldn't know how to ask for directions to the nearest restroom because the idiot teachers spent all the available time reading Pushkin.

The rise of communism, facism, Nazism, World War I, The Great Depression, World War II, women's emancipation, the Cold War, the fall of communism, etc. etc. History helps us to understand the present day reality, to learn from the mistakes of the past, it makes us more conscious voters.


I disagree. Someone may not need math after graduation, but someone else may need it. Kids don't know what they'll end up doing in the future, they often don't even know what college they'll choose. Education at school helps kids to see what they're good at, what they find interesting and thus it helps them to make decisions about their future.

The US unis and colleges are more "communist", "fascist" and "totalitarian than ever. All the courses on all these subjects went down the drain because it is in their nature to reject everything from the past in order to create a more perfect utopia. If anything, teaching them history is helping in avoiding the mistakes of their masters.
