Local language can be picked up by just living and nobody needs to know adjectives from adverbs. Math beyond plus and minus is useless. Even as an engineer, I never had to solve a quadratic equation. Chemistry boils down to knowing what is safe and not safe to eat. Geography can be learned on the day of departure to that exciting faraway land with another Home Depot. History is nothing but lies and nobody gives a damn anyway about what happened last century. Physics is learned from experience - if you let it go it will drop to the ground.

A plumber who barely knows how to install a sink makes more money that a sociology graduate - a social outcast still clueless about how to pay off his student loans on waiter's tips.

The same with colleges and universities - overrated and a waste of money unless we are talking Harvard-type. At no time did anybody ask me to show them my third-world WUT diploma. I was hired only on the basis of what I claimed I could do and what I claimed I learned at home tinkering with radios and servos. The same with my English. Never spend a minute studying it. Books and Voice of America. Later, the streets and bars of Chicago. Life is actually very simple.

How much of what they taught you in high school did you ever use in your personal life or on the job?

Me too,but I prefer Black,immigrant or Jewish doctors cuz they really worked hard and work hard to be good doctors and surgeons.Not always but 65% of the time.

The best doctor I ever had was my Polish grandma.
When I got a headache, she soaked a rag in vinegar and tied it around my head and it worked.
My medical dr. always suggests for me to take pills that have so many side effects that the cure is worse than the headache,
And my grandma was non - woke Polish educated and graduated from the 6th grade.

You know that I am not talking about specialized courses how to install toilet seats or stents.
I am talking about the useless bs like geography, history, arts, music, and math beyond the basics needed for shopping.
You can be a world-class brain surgeon without any of this.
