Some people think it is a lot, some think it is cheap.

I am mean that is why I prefer driving on country roads. The journey to the seaside, 700km, cost me 10 hours last year. Without any toll. I can still bear it.

as a result (of a much to heavy toll) plenty of truckers now use country roads instead of the motorway - the roads are being destroyed - even houses that stood for dozens of years by the roads now break apart because of the heavy truck traffic

You do realise that vast area,s of the country don't have any sort of motorway to use? Warsaw and Krakow are the first and second cities and they are joined by a country road (E77) passing through small towns and villages with no alternative. There is no plan to build the replacement (which was supposed to start two years ago) because the government didn't even apply for the funds. Maybe from 2014 they will start. And the railway is even slower.

Its still quicker to drive to Germany to get to the sea from Krakow.
