Tragedy of Polish couple; Polish woman repeatedly raped in Italy, her partner almost killed

Apparently the suspects also allegedly raped a Peruvian woman hours after their rape of the polish girl. The Congolese man and the only adult of the group was still wearing the polish mans watch according to an article I read on this case.

Two women were the ones to slap the cuffs on the 4th suspect who was aboard a train and hoped to escape to France. The Italians wanted to make the arrest of the guy by 2 women like a symbolic thing that European women won't tolerate this and kind as a display of feminism.

Idk what kind of punishments these people face but unfortunately in many countries esp the us sentences can be quite low. I remember a member of the prominent duke family was found guilty of sexual assault and received probation bc the judge felt he wouldn't fair well in prison. Even others sadly only end up doing a few years for committing such an awful crime. Its typically people w multiple violent felony convictions that receive longer 10 20 plus year sentenced. Sadly justice isn't really 'for all' here and apparently in many other countries too.

In the US they tend to rule based on probability of repeat offender. If you have no (significant) prior arrests, hold a job/attend University or come from financially stable home (probably represented by attorney) - then the charges will not be as severe

Also, there is (IMO good) difference between sexually assaulting a girl you took home from the bar (common on college campuses or high school parties) versus attacking strangers on the street. Because while the judge might relate to the college girl assaulted as his own daughter, there could still have been steps taken to prevent. Most attacks occur by someone you know. But this event in Italy could happen to anyone including the judge on vacation. And that is more scary

Face it people. Western Europe became dark forest. Unsafe, malevolent and unclean place.

The rate of murder per citizen is still higher in Poland than e.g. Germany. But of course neither Western Europe nor Poland come close to the level of criminal activity that is Serbia.

Certain western European countries def aren't as safe as they use to be I.e. France esp when there's mass rioting or near train stations where migrants like to congregate to sell drugs pickpocket etc. However if you're aware of your surroundings and take certain precautions you're unlikely to encounter problems regardless of where you are.
