The potential change in Polish law to allow for shooting down objects in Ukraine airspace, or drones coming out of Belarus is very alarming. Poland needs to stay the course of protecting its own boarders, and not getting involved with anything within Ukraine territory. Simply not smart thinking.

Nothing alarming about shooting down objects that are coming out of Belarus, Belarusian objects need to stay in Belarus. And if Ukraine asks us to shoot down objects in Ukrainian airspace, doing so is only neighbourly.

Poland does indeed need to protect her borders. A good start would be banning foreigners with more than three convictions for felonies from setting foot on Polish soil. Of course that does mean Don Taco is also banned from Poland but the rules could be tweaked so that the convictions have to come in more than one trial.

While the US has focused on creating more debt and virtual garbage (crypto, AI, and p0rn), Russia and China have been working on real projects. It turns out the Patriot defense system is so obsolete after Russia has upgraded their rockets that even Poland doesn't want them.
NATO is starting to wake up to the fact that Russia's military is much more advanced than they thought and they didn't even show half of their modern weaponry. The war may continue for another year or more while NATO tries to figure out what's going on.

No, it means participation in hostilities, that is, joining the war. If you shoot down Russian targets on the territory of Ukraine, prepare for strikes against your air defenses.
