Before we have 2nd round let's have a look at all the elections in III Rzeczpospolita Polska.
In bold you have the winners and one biggest loser (or a very determined person-depends how you look at it) who tried 5 times from 3 different parties and never even got close to 2nd round. In italic you have those who lost in second round (besides 2000 when Kwaśniewski won in the 1st round)

@Pawian
Just watched your video. And I find it hilarious but scary too.
That monarchiat guy looks like he is guy (self hating if true) and as for those other 2 young blokes- I wouldn't want to meet them coming home at night...

PiS will set up their own Konfederacja to replace the original one

And I will laugh and laugh and laugh (at supporters who voted for Duda).

One of the guys in the video says: not endorsing the revolution from the West which is destroying out values, we are giving ourselves time for another option. Yes, time, but at what cost?

And I will laugh and laugh and laugh (at supporters who voted for Duda).

Yes, maf, but that will be laughter through tears coz PiS is trying to turn back the tide which is a useless thing to do, knowing the Polish propensity to imitate the West in all aspects of life. They won`t stop the inevitable changes, they can only delay them a little, but still their futile attempts will be doing more damage to the country and society`s unity. .

as for those other 2 young blokes- I wouldn't want to meet them coming home at night...

hihihi

I could give my many reasons why Duda will win

Better expression would be 'should' as we don't know who will win. But that is a detail.
I'm all eyes and waiting for the list.

What? This thread isn`t Off Topic.

No but your last three posts in this thread have been off - topic. hahaha

I'm all eyes and waiting for the list.

Poland is still using the zloty aren't they after being threatened.
Poland refused immigrants after being threatened.
Poland doesn't want to cater to Homosexuals as a Christian nation and neither does Duda want Polish children exposed to it as "the new norm" when it most certainly is not..

Poland is still the safest country in the E.U. aren't they ?
Seems Duda has the balls to stand up for Poland.
Duda is the best choice as it always comes down to the lessor of two evils in any election.
Those are a couple of reasons why I see Duda as the best choice, now your turn, why do you see what's his name as the better choice ?

johhny, I am so proud of you and your interest in Polish issues. I am serious now.

Now, what do you think as an expert - how long will conservatives hold power in Poland? Currently the tug of war between two groups, progressives and cons, is exactly in the centre: 50% vs 50%. Is Poland going to become more pro or con in the future?

Poland is still using the zloty aren't they after being threatened.

He had nothing to do with that.

Poland is still the safest country in the E.U. aren't they ?

It's quite safe, not sure about the safest all. Any info on that?. And nothing Duda did had any impact on it.

Poland refused immigrants after being threatened.
Poland doesn't want to cater to Homosexuals

True that. So it boils down to refugees and gay people...

Coz he is a cool guy - educated, intelligent, open-minded, tolerant, with a sense of humor. Not as fanatic and limited as those rightards. The guy you immediately take to when you meet him on a random social occassion. Besides, he worked as an English teacher in 1990s. hahahahaha

See him and his crazy family in action.

I guess we can expect a lot more of this kind of thing if Duda wins... yay?

Yes, when rightards defiled Komorowski (literally, with feces in a PC game) and were prosecuted for that, PiS spat out all their venom in defence. Today, anti-PiS opposition do the same to Duda but PiS is so indignant and sends the police all over Poland to detain them. Fekking hypocrites.

9 Jul 2020 #1,934
And that is YOUR opinion

No, he simply doesn't have power to do anything about it and he never made it an agenda.
Poland only now is getting close to meeting the criteria for Euro and there was no significant changes in personal safety as far as I'm aware.

But if you have any relevant info I'm happy to learn how he contributed to those fights.

Still waiting.

Good. Some people sleep and have life.

Why I believe Trzaskowski is better candidate? Because he will represent us with much more class world wide and he will keep the government at least a little bitin check.

Those are the only two things that the president can do in Poland.

Because he will represent us with much more class world wide

E.g., he won`t need an interpreter during international contacts coz he can speak a few languages, while for Duda even English is a huge problem.

I remember the previous campaign when Komorowski was ridiculed for not knowing English as opposed to Duda who was said to know it.
Where did his knowledge of English go?
Trzaskowski definitely seems fluent in English.
Remember that video of a guy claiming to be American who asked him questions in English?
That was ridiculous. Who would have had such an idea anyway?

Remember that video of a guy claiming to be American who asked him questions in English?

It was hilarious. And then the guy acted all shocked that people mocked him.

As for me I just hope for no more pictures like the one with Trump

Good. Some people sleep and have life.

You must not be one of them as ornery as you always are.

he will represent us with much more class and he will keep the government at least a little bitin check.

A guy that needs a shave doesn't show much class in my book and he may or may not keep the government in check.

All politicians campaigning promise wonders and then sht blunders.

Why not? Look at their faces. It was obvious joke. They are masters. Only great people are capable for such a mockery. I know. I am expert.

was ridiculed for not knowing English

I wonder why people care about that stuff? It doesn't matter if he knows languages or not he can always hire a translators. What matter what a caliber of a person is he, his values and his ability to solve problems.

By the way I don't recall it. He was ridiculed for his ridiculous behavior and outer rubbish he spew. Remember Japan, that was the high of his folly. F clown with roots in WSI( a commie military intelligence agency in Soviet Poland.)

why I see Duda as the best choice, now your turn, why do you see what's his name as the better choice ?

Good call. Asking pawian about his take on things? It is an exercise in futility. He doesn't know. He is so clueless and act like that little know it all princess. Annoying after some time.

Of course that`s an erroneous presumption coz you are thinking of octogenarian Presidents of the USA.,

While both Polish candidates are still young. In case of Trzask, he wears a short beard to look more masculine and it works. Clean shaven Duda looks like an azzhole, whom he is, by the way.

Clean shaven Duda looks like an azzhole,

Clean shaven Duda looks a lot like Howdy Doody.... the star of a popular children's show in 1950s America (who was a puppet ironically enough...)

howdy

That's Howdy on the right....

I always think of him as Howdy Duda now....

may or may not keep the government in check.

Definitely more than Duda who is nicknamed Długopis (Pen) for signing everything the ruling party (his party) tells him to sign.

A guy that needs a shave doesn't show much class in my book

Well your book is not everybody's book. He looks good with facial hair and it's not an army.

I wonder why people care about that stuff?

Because knowing foreign languages was always a sign of well educated, intelligent person. Especially knowing the lingua franca of the time.
And while it's of course possible to hire a translator speaking the same language helps to create a bond and makes for easier, more natural relationship

for signing everything the ruling party

Duda used veto 9 times during his presidency - in comparison Komorowski used veto only 4 times - he is however not known as a PO's pen - one could wonder why

Yes, amazing that Iron asks such infantile questions and you need to explain things like to a child.

in comparison Komorowski used veto only 4 times - he is however not known as a PO's pen - one could wonder why

Because he didn`t break the law, like Duda?

Never solved a problem in his live PO stooge

That`s a remark which is false, of course.

You are quite right even our local builders yard is voting for children to be taught how to have gay sex, not long before Poland reaches the lofty heights of Germany and the UK ohh you are going to have so much fun.

Look, it is very simple - every decent person, and cms is one for sure as we can judge from his contribution here, considers PiS rightard azzholes with fondness for autocratic solutions.

not long before Poland reaches the lofty heights of Germany and the UK ohh you are going to have so much fun.

You know it is inevitable as Poles, Western Slavs, copy everything from the West. Do you remember the times right after the collapse of communism? See the difference today? Where did it come from? From copying. Poland copied Western ways, in result we can enjoy much better lives than in communism.

There is no sense in fighting things that will become normal in Poland one day, we will avoid unnecessary tensions.
