Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons

at least PiS and Konfa have a vision

This vision is a nightmare, actually.

Their vision of the world is not a place I'd want to live in.

Exactly. Let those rightard maniacs live in and with their sick visions while the rest of Poland is free of them. :):):)

"If you have visions, go see a doctor."

Exactly. We are ruled by maniacs with visions instead of by experts and specialists in major fields.

No, these leftard idiots think that all they need to do was to scream POLEXIT! and wait for Frans Timmermans to simply frown at Poland and people will overthrow the government.

What do you think: is PIS taking any money from the Kremlin for their contribution into the disintegration of the EU? If not yet, when are they going to take it? Coz now it seems that all decent EU members are against PiS and their only allies are fascist, anti-European, pro-Kremlin parties like Marie le Pen`s.

Prime Minister Morawiecki from neobolshevik PiS and his fascist ally. Pact Ribbentrop Molotov reloaded.

is PIS taking any money from the Kremlin

Is that what JK had in mind the other day when talking about 'alternative sources' for money if the EU shuts down the flow? I'm pretty sure even he's not deranged enough to expect financial help from the US (after the tvn lex debacle)....

Dont think for one second that China wouldn't love to get an edge in central Europe. Money from Russia, I dont think so. Maybe gas though at a very cheap rate?

China wouldn't love to get an edge in central Europe

If so then PiS are ever more stupid and malicious than I thought... they should look at what happens to countries that take money from China (starting with Australia).

Maybe gas though at a very cheap rate?

Money, gas, anything from Russia comes with too many strings attached.

Even if Poland went full pro-Russia, Russia would never allow Poland to regain Kresy which means taking land from Belarus.

@Korvinus
I dont know about that. Putin would much rather take Poland from the EU and NATO and would poop all over Belarus to get it done. Belarus has nothing to offer over Poland. Even Poland without the EU is much better off than Belarus and the Ukraine and they really want the Ukraine. Lukashenko could end up in a ditch somewhere if Putin grew tired of him, he is a bad press magnate. Putin doesnt need him.

lol poop all over belarus. and what makes you think poland and its economy without nato and eu would be beyyer than the donets basin? you think the coal production in slask is better than the breadbasket of the ukraine and its black sea trade routes?

belarus

Trees and potatoes.

@Strzelec35
Poland would be better simply based on infrastructure. Thanks to all the EU money, the roads, rails and supply chains in Poland is really very good. The 2 lane highways suck, but the road conditions are great. Poland also has more housing, and better housing. While Poland is not a powerhouse in many areas, Putin would see the land mass, and the idea of getting Poland away from the EU and NATO would be such powerful propaganda he could not resist.

Rightist rulers are foaming at the mouth coz the EU has just imposed 1 million euros per day for not abolishing the illegal Disciplinary Chamber which PiS once created to dirtily deal with independent judges.

Good! In free Poland, all those rightist traitors who have led to this situation will be prosecuted and sentenced to prison for all the financial losses that Poland will have to suffer.

I think you are too obsessed by the right and the left of the political spectrum.
It is what it is.
Live with it.
After all, you did it before under communism....

Yes. Rightists provoke fears, tensions and conflicts on purpose coz they feed on them and it allows them to rule the frightened or enraged mob more easily.

Isn't it the leftists provoking the COVID fear?

Leftists' dream is a totalitarian leftist state. Consequently, they do everything they can to empower governments and weaken our ability to resist the soft tyranny of Western "democracies" - even when they are still minorities. Covid was just a demo of how it can be done. A dry run...

The final step - chasing out the pussified woke weasels like Biden, Merkel, Tacitus, and pawian. That is why leftists hate Putin, Poland, and PiS.

It's that simple.

I haven`t heard or read about such a phenomenon. Can you eleborate? Or even prove it if possible.

Biden, Merkel, Tacitus, and pawian

Thank you. I have always been aware I deserve a place in the Pantheon next to other famous guys.

Can you eleborate? Or even prove it if possible

It's less applicable in Europe but in the US the democrats are the covid-panic party and almost all of the pushback has been from republicans... esp De Santis in Florida who's being tipped for a run at the Whitehouse in 2024... he's made Florida the Sweden of the US (ignoring Chinese communist policy in favor of traditional pandemic responses).

tvn has a tendency to be a bit alarmist (and I don't watch reżimowa tv enough to know what their coverage is like).

Thank you Maf. COVID fear, is the tool of the left or the Democrats depending on where you live. I fell for it at the beginning watching news from USA. After living it though, I am no longer buying the fear. All the panic has not done much. Virus still spreading and mutating, vaccine keeps you from dying in most cases but you can still get sick and still spread. So what, lets move on already.

I haven`t heard or read about such a phenomenon.

It's misunderstanding cause/effect. Intelligent people care about public health. Intelligent people are less likely to support right-wing parties.

Rightists provoke fears

Fear is all they understand.

Fear is all they understand.

Serious question....then where do you put all these Climate-change-warners? That's running all on doom and gloom and the coming apocalypse....
jon357 74 | 22,054
30 Oct 2021 #714
With good reason.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,827
30 Oct 2021 #715
So....there are "good" fears and "bad" fears?

I'm just asking for clarification...because it aren't only right-wingers using the fears of people....but in my opinion the priorities differ. For some the climate is more important and for others for example an unwanted cultural change or uncontrolled mass immigration is more crucial.

Actually building on and using existing insecurities and fears in the electorate belongs to the basic stock of every party which wants to be elected....doesn't it!
jon357 74 | 22,054

I'm just asking for clarification

Or trying to 'debate' or 'argue'.

climate ...mass immigration

Are the two not very closely related and is severe climate change not inevitable?
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,827

Or trying to 'debate' or 'argue'.

Yeah....well....guilty! :)

Are the two not very closely related and is severe climate change not inevitable?

Yes to both questions! So....why does it sound like only dumb rightwingers have those fears?

Generalized speaking one could say one part wants to stop climate change and the other part wants to stop mass immigration....
jon357 74 | 22,054
30 Oct 2021 #718
why does it sound like only dumb rightwingers have those fears?

They're afraid of everything.

There are difficult times ahead; is the key not how we anticipate, respond and thrive?
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,827
30 Oct 2021 #719
That too counts for both problems!

I just chipped in because I see that regularly....people talking down the fears of the other side, calling them dumb. It's just not right or in any ways a correct assessment IMHO....that was all!
jon357 74 | 22,054
30 Oct 2021 #720
It's just not right or in any ways a correct assessment IMHO.

Indeed. They're much more complex and long-term trends, and both very connected.
