Komorowski is off to set up an auction to sell Poland to the highest bidder.

A nothingman in a country that lacks ideas of how it wants to move forward. I'm surprised he hasn't wheeled out the WWII and communism speeches.

Who would that be? And what would he have to pay???

Russia or Germany, PO is heavily influenced by both lobbies.

PiS is heavily tied to US embassy on the other hand.

None of them look good from Polands point of view, Germany will try to recover its territories via economy and EU leverage, Russia will try to finlandize Poland and US will just use us as a sockpuppet bringing tremendous harm to us in the process.

Both parties are unsafe but personally i felt PiS will do slightly less damage which is why i voted for them.

I find it disgusting how the Duck is abusing Marta Kaczynska in his campaign. He should be ashamed. And it has to be unique, to use a tombstone in preseidential elections?

Pilsudski for sure is turning in his grave.
Ah yes,the laptop-destroying lobby... Ziobro...How practical that was. And having the CBA as your private espionage force to intimidate opponents... IPN, how practical that files surfaced "just in time"? They always do, don't they?

Abusing? Isn't it merely a gesture of solidarity, a notion that he knows well?

Sobieski stop please, you're either one of PO hired net monkeys (PO actually pays kids to post stuff like that all over) or just an idiot.

Neither party is good for Poland and pointing out details like that stops us from seeing the bigger picture.

Abusing? Isn't it merely a gesture of solidarity, a notion that he knows well?

Marta Kaczyńska has a twofold goal to meet here, from one side she's genuinely concerned for her uncle, he's a lonely man in a miserable situation, on the other hand she's considering whether to enter politics herself, no abuse is done here.

Germany will try to recover its territories via economy

I'm not sure what you mean by that...Germany owns Greece or Spain already economically too (not counting the masses of tourists every year)...do you see them complain???

There is nothing to "recover" when the borders are open and everybody can go everwhere!

I'm not sure what you mean by that...

I mean that parts of German elite want stuff back invading Poland wallet way, i'm not sure how would the regions like Wrocław get back to Germany, i dont see annexation a viable way but i imagine that in "Europe of regions" Germany would come up with something.

Germany owns Greece or Spain already economically too

They're not viable targets due to geography and Germans are not interested in them sentimentally either.

)...do you see them complain???

The problem here is that Germany plans an ultimately malevolent takeover, there's several problems with this however.

First of all its not Germany as a country or even as a goverment rather than parts of it, second of all Germany has limited resources and manpower which also poses future problems, some sort of a plan is there however and a PO is crucial to it.

There is nothing to "recover" when the borders are open and everybody can go everwhere!

Thats only assuming that EU survivers, no one including Germany who's political elite is an elite in every meaning of the word unlike Polish one is sure of that, having these regions as German dependencies or new lands is the only way to be sure for them.

Also BB to clarify i'm not villyfing Germany or whatnot, thats just regular expansive policies for you, everyone who's in power does it, Germany has a lot to gain from such moves so its not ill will per se rather then business.

The Duck would be a disgrace for this country.

Donald Tusk is the PM, dipstick. He is a disgrace, you are right though.

I'd vote for PiS if I could. But I ain't Polish yet ;-)... At least I'll have to wait until local/European election. PO reminds me too much of things I don't like in Western Europe, which more globally concern the Union.

Nah...that is pure paranoia.

Any try of that kind would be national and international suicide and destroy everything we build up for so long. As it is german business has the best possibilities and that's all we want and need. A holiday trip to the baltic coast not withstanding! ;)

Trust me Sok...Poland is safe! :)

Germany has a lot to gain from such moves

And here you err...Germany has absolutely ZERO to gain from such a move. To the contrary, we would lose everything!!!
It is in our best interest to keep our neighbours peaceful, stable and wealthy enough to buy our products...to make Germans happy.
Any malevolent action would destroy exactly that...it would be stupid suicide. We are smarter than that!

PS: That's why there is no real outcry here about plans to scratch the draft or strangle the Bundeswehr budget to death - we just don't see the need for it! (Besides being a good money making hightech industry branch)

He always has his mother's cats to take care of.
I am not hired by PO (I am voting for them), neither am I a kid. I am voting PO wherever I can in this country. If you vote Duck, you are getting Radio Marija as a bonus. Happy with that?

We will see now how the poultry guy will try to get Napieralski onboard.

Getting Radio Maria, how?

Nah...that is pure paranoia.

Not at all, i'm into politics a bit deeper than magazines but even so you can interpret various economic moves to see the course it all goes.

Germany wants a closer association with Poland for a variety of reasons that can be summed up with Germany being old and Poland young, Poland is a German investment to revitalise your economy and gain various bonuses but before all that happens your politics have to make sure who's on top.

Any try of that kind would be national and international suicide and destroy everything we build up for so long.

You're understimating your politics, Poland does not have a political elite rather then people who're more or less moronic about the whole thing, Germany has a lot of skilled, ambitious and more importantly patient politics.

Trust me Sok...Poland is safe! :)

No its not, not with our political elite and deep political divide among the nation, just read the thread, Poles insulting each other over a political party they vote on rather then realise we're all Poles and on the same boat, Poland is everything but safe.

Well, that is that way everywhere Sok....in every country people insult and detest each other when they prefer different parties. :)
Just visit german blogs and boards...no different at all.
If the democracy works then a balance, a consent is found in the middle that works!

(The worst kind of abuse I ever read was during the voting last time in the US...between Democrats and Republicans...the pure hate!)

Germany has a lot of skilled, ambitious and more importantly patient politics.

Don't overestimate us!
Right now we have our share of clumsy idiots too...always had...:(

Not everywhere, Poland is in the heart of Europe, we dont get to sit out any match Europe decides to play, we can be either a player or the playing field but we never get to just watch from the stalls.

Every country has its amount of political b*tching but objectively most countries get actuall elites, Poland lost its elites in WW2 and communism afterwards, rebuilding them is a b*tch since we need them now not 20 years in the future.

(The worst kind of abuse I ever read was during the voting last time in the US...between Democrats and Republicans...the pure hate!)

Americans get away with that, they're a rather stupid lot when compared to Poles, also they're not smack in the middle of a power struggle between larger neighbours.

Voted for PO, they have released the outcome of the first 15% voting places and it's getting pretty scary, that is Komorowski: 39,69, Kaczynski 37,68... I don't want the upcoming years down the gutter...
delphiandomine 88 | 18,163

What's interesting is that it seems that Kaczynski may have suffered quite the defeat in the over 60 age group - if it's true, then that's a disaster for him. But otherwise, it's all as expected - except possibly Pawlak getting defeated by the internet darling Korwin-Mikke.

Right... it is getting scary if 1% is the difference now. But hey guys, (if push comes to shove) ... we survived one duck and so, we will survive another. About 50% of population got fooled again.....

If it turns out that it is really so close, then I'm going to go and offer Komorowski's campaign my assistance in the morning. I do NOT want to live in a country that has yet more important legislation blocked by a President who puts himself above the country - and I simply don't believe for one second that Jarek will pass PO legislation freely.

Do the honerable thing and leave now, Poland will not miss you, I hope Kaczynski wins, he has the interests of Poland at heart, hows the packing going!
