Visegrad Battle Group under the command of Poland

I mind the sh1t ;) but I am also for equality partnership. That would be ideal.

Germans were never interested in equality or partnerships, they want to lead and strong Poland will never be acceptible to them.

Salesman? ;)

Very much so, people never ask the basic questions, for example what kind of a name is Donald and what kind of a surname is Tusk, the guy is a Pole very in touch with his german roots, perhaps too much in touch.

Maybe out of this strategic group can grow sth else, economical partnership, because obviously they big 3 in Europe do not care much what the 'small or new' countries have to say.

European Union is all about realisation of German, British and French interests over the heads of everyone else, it has its uses for Poland but the basis of any strategy needs to be that EU is not really a union neither is unification the main goal of this organisation.

I said: That would be IDEAL. ;) I know my people...but they are not all like that, just that those who make the calls are like you stated :(

If you ask me personally, that whole concept now of eu is bs. Better from the start would have been just a trading union with a common market place, exchange of knowledge etc. simpler things/issues you can agree upon without undermining the opposite site and leave space for own identity. This now is just running on muscle, ger, f and uk ones and the 'rest' are the sparring partners...

Donald

I remember Dagobert. ;)

Thanks Nathan. That was absolutely my point.

I know it looks like a fantasia now. But again I know that this is the cure for the countries I mentioned.

Let's start with Turkey-Ukraine alliance :) I am sure V4 and others will follow.

Local military or similar type of alliance might be of great value to the states of our region.

I agree, Ukraine needs to be annexed.

Maybe, but it should avoid the same downfalls as Prussia/Germany experienced. To much agressive power and Europe will show you to that you will lose in the end.

Are you counting the Soviets as Europeans?

The ones till Moscow for sure...St. Petersburg is a beautiful, decidedly european town for example.

BB,

It seems as if your leaving out those Soviet divisions formed east of the Urals.

You're also leaving out the Americans. The Americans had a role in WWI & WWII.

Erm...

Are you counting the Soviets as Europeans?

Since the Soviets aren't an ethnicity I thought you meant Russians...no military nor war history!

Let's start with Turkey-Ukraine alliance :)

Full support on that one :)

I am sure V4 will follow.

I don't think it is necessary.

Wouldn't focus just on one nation/group/area? The whole system is in deep sh1t with compliments from nwo.

The Visegrad group is a good 1st step out of that box. ;)

With power comes great responsibility.

No thanks.

I rather see Poland doing Like Sweden. Staying neutral on all military issues and just sucking that dollar baby dry.

Poland have historical opportunity to become first class power of Europe

But, greater the opportunity for Poland, greater the beast that awaits for mistake of Poland. Many are interested in Poland`s choices. Many waits

Staying neutral

Hardly possible between Russia and Germany. ;)

just sucking that dollar baby dry

The vampirization is going the other way around...

With power comes great responsibility.
No thanks.

Why? It is also an opportunity.

Why not? A sandwitch position can be nice if you can play the game and not get played by it.

The vampirization is going the other way around...

Depends.

Why? It is also an opportunity.

Maybe so but if somehing goes wrong they will blame the leader.

Why not let Germany lead it so we can blame Germany for every mistake "they" make.

No risk, no fun. ;)

This Visegrad group is an alternative to Deutschland and nato. No reason to put them in.

Depends.

Nope.
O is checking on that friday. :)

A sandwitch position can be nice if you can play the game and not get played by it.

Through history that sandwich was a minus but i really hope that the Visegrad group can change that.

Poland should be prepared for provocations of the Ukrainian secret service, which wants to cool down the relations between Kiev and Warsaw, in order to dampen the Poland's enthusiasm for lobbying for the membership of Ukraine in the EU - warned the Ukrainian MP Taras Czornowił.

- I was forewarned about possible provocations of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) against Poland and Slovakia. SBU has been vary active against lobbyists of Ukraine in the European Union. I do not know what kind of provocations are being prepared, but they may use for this purpose, for example, such forces as the nationalist Freedom Party - said Czornowił.

According to the MP, who is deputy of Foreign Affairs Committee in the Ukrainian Parliament, recent activities of secret service suggest that SBU has its sights on the Visegrad countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.

- Recently, at the request of SBU, two Czech diplomats were expelled on espionage charges, which led to cooling relations with Prague. SBU also interrogates Ukrainian citizens who are are obtaining dual Hungarian citizenship, which caused tension in relations with Budapest. Next will be Poland, followed by Slovakia - Czornowił said. - In view of the fact that my sources anticipated the provocation against the Hungarians, I realized that their information is reliable. I think I need to inform the public opinion about it - he stressed.

The head of the SBU is Valery Choroszkowski, a media tycoon, a man considered to be loyal to Moscow. Czornowił believes that diplomatic scandals that have occurred recently between Kiev and Prague and Budapest, are useful to Russia.

Ukrainian MP Taras Czornowił

Thanks, boletus, for the post. I think that T. Chornowil is absolutely right. Frankly, I was surprised from the accusation of the Czech diplomat in the espionage. The "president" and his surroundings with the corrupted parliament are a bunch of crooks not to be trusted or respected. The bastards make everything possible to fail Ukraine's EU association status by the end of this year.

Yanukovych Drives Ukraine Toward EU as Putin Dangles Promise of Cheap Gas

As this article stresses Yanukovych tries to play both sides. I wonder if he ever succeeds in doing so, and if yes - for how long.. He called B. Komorowski yesterday, obviously in relation to Obama visit.

Yanukovych Drives Ukraine Toward EU as Putin Dangles Promise of Cheap Gas

The article is a bit out of touch with Ukraine's current political circumstances. I would like to see the signing of the agreement with the EU, otherwise, it is just empty talks and promises. Yanukovych loses in both cases, either the agreement is signed with EU or Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan custom treaty (this one is unlikely to happen because Ukraine is a member of WTO and the others are not and the rules of WTO, as I heard, forbid forming any outsider economical coalition). But even if, that custom treaty will put a cross on any aspiration to normal democratic development and progress. With the EU you have to follow certain rules (not a forte of Yanukovych and his majority party in general). Ukraine will gain by signing the agreement with the EU even if it means membership in 2050 or never, because it will definitely improve economical ties, political atmosphere, tourism etc. Association is a good boost in itself and I would be happy to see it in December.

This is what Viktor Yanukovych said after the meeting with Obama and other presidents in Warsaw:

"I would like us to spread the Visegrad spirit of unity and partnership across the entire region of Central and Eastern Europe. Today, through our region passes the line that divides European countries into "members" and "non-members" of the EU. We cannot allow this barrier to become firmly established and turn into a new artificial "Berlin Wall" of Europe."
