Your terse comment does not resolve the fact that 98% of all blacks that were sold into slavery were captured and sold by other black chieftains (this is specific to the western slave trade and not the Muslim one).

There are two countries in Africa where the slave trade still exists.

Additionally, not all European whites participated in the slave trade as countries like Poland did not. Also, most whites in America did not own slaves and indeed, the many tiered abolitionist movement was run by whites.

Tens or hundreds of thousands sold into slavery, a few bands of people capturing them. If that's "both sides" then it's two pretty unequal sides.
