Just my opinion, feel free to offer the calories count if you got the facts.

Can someone explain the PPP thing to me, please?

The Big Mac Index is used, crudely, by currency traders. It's not really a sign of how rich or not any country is.

Basically, McDonalds' products are universal, as is the American dollar. So McDonalds will have done a very thorough analysis on how much citizens in each market can afford to spend on a Big Mac. The cost of a Big Mac in USD, in the States, is then compared with the local price of a Big Mac, in that country, converted into dollars.

So if we say the USD/PLN exchange rate is 3, then a $3 Big Mac should cost 9zl in Poland. If a Big Mac is more expensive than that, it means the PLN is weak and traders should buy zlotys because they will strengthen in the future. PPP is therefore this theoretical exchange rate that McDonalds have decided is the true value of the Polish economy; 2.13 (or 1 dollar is 2.13 zlotys.)

Israel is light years ahead of many EU countries in, technology innovation and healthcare.

Healthcare? Innovation? Really? I think everyone would agree that using a donkey cart to transport wounded to the hospital because the victims are not Jewish like it’s done in Israel, is light years behind the rest of the world in both, a mentality that belongs in the middle ages and the choice of the mode of transportation undoubtedly even older than that. This brings us to the third point you made, technology? American planes, helicopters etc. although a high tech in comparison to the sling shots Palestinians are using , those are American not Israeli technologies even bought and paid for American tax payer. LOL

its not surprising millions of Arabs are dying to get in there.

Arabs are dying because of US and Israeli Jewish policies but that’s another debate.

Average Joe in US can afford to eat 3 big mac meals aday

It shows too. Every time you see some report about Americans on TV you see those burgers bulging out of them. By the looks of it, it looks like cheap burgers; fries + coke are the only food reasonably priced to most of them and the healthy, organic, nutritious food is out of reach to the masses in the so called richest nation on earth.

I think Mc Donalds meals are probably healthier than those pig fat

Is that why McDonald's Australia, specifically had to deny the rumor way back that there is definitely no lard and pig fat in the McDonald's potatoes, milkshakes or ice cream? While the rest of the McDonald's chains around the world don’t even bother to comment on that silly rumor. TG it was only a rumor, if that was true and the Australian McDonald’s really used pig fat to enhance the flavor in their product, the prices would have to double or even triple perhaps. As is, we all know that anyone producing cheap alternative to the real deal prefer to use inexpensive, mass produced MSG as the flavor enhancer, and we all know how healthy that is.

Thanks for explaining it so clearly.

Big Mac meal is considered a luxury food in Poland, regardless of the quality.

I told some mates here about this, man they cracked up, so do you think that a coke here is considered to be the equivalent of champaign?

If only it were a question I'd've stuck it in to this thread: What's the stupidest question asked about Poland?

America is great at fast food but not even Americans would consider it a luxurious meal in any regard.

And KFC meal is only for tycoons and president.

Mc Donalds meals are probably healthier than those pig fat, sausages and processed meat eaten by average poles.

We understood you prefer junk beef to pork.

Average Joe in US can afford to eat 3 big mac meals aday, average Pawel cannot afford one big mac meals a week. Yes, I've been to Poland and I know how poor the people are (no offense there).

I think it's safe to say that there are plenty of people in Poland who would hire you to empty their rubbish bins.

Best Countries in the World
Best Low-Income Nation: Albania

(Honorable mention: best education)

Albania rarely makes headlines and seems an unlikely model for other countries, but this new democracy actually outperforms all other low-income countries. Among the countries in its category Albania consistently ranks highest in education, health, and quality of life. Nearly 99 percent of Albanians are literate. Despite being a citizen of one the poorest countries in Europe, the average Albanians can expect to live until 78 and the average Albanian woman until 81--a pretty good statistic considering that the average citizen of wealthy Germany will live until only 79.

Best Political Environment

Large size: Germany

Australia is a winner on many fronts, including its democratic freedom and voter participation, making it No. 1 in this category among medium-size nations. And Germany tops the list for large countries with the best political environment.

Interesting details:

1.Albanian economy and German politics are new role models.
2.Albanians live longer than Germans.

They need to know what is written on the packages they steal.

They usually injure but not kill their neighbours with Kalashnikov.
A real first for Albanians is the proportion of men with bullets inside them and knife scars. In these regards they are unparalled in Europe.

Australia is a winner on many fronts, including its democratic freedom

check that.. australia has quite limited freedoms as compared to the usa.. their government has a much stronger grip on their freedoms.

the healthy, organic, nutritious food is out of reach to the masses in the so called richest nation on earth.

that is not true at all; it's just a choice and many choose the convenience food over nutritional.

Home cooking is more expensive

once again, not at all.... not per portion.. for the most part.. you can't compare a burger to a t-bone..

Or have I got that arse over elbow?

yes

Of course that in Poland its more cost-effective to cook at home. We have cheap igredients so cooking by your own really saves money.

the same in the USA

I heard that in the USA its more expensive to cook at home than eating fast food, is that true?

not when you compare "apples" with "apples", as i said earlier

Fatties often just can't afford the more healthier but also more expensive fruits and veggies.

not true.. that's a myth.. it's just a lazy choice..

why on earth would anyone want McDonalds, to pay more for fatty fast food?

i highlighted the main reason..

the life of an average Joe in US is not much better than in Poland.

it is what one makes of it.. life in the USA is much easier and cheaper, overall.

second: he said that he got friends here. after 9-days experience he got friends? hahaha :)
third: explain me - why australian is so interested with trolling on polish forums? maybe are poles responsible also for koala holocaust and global warming?

i think that he is fat, lonely american ignorant working in mcdonalds restaurant in warszawa :)

p.s. in poland you can't even call a "big mac" BIG when compared to the typical american meaning of this word...

hehe i'm guessing ur a Serb, i have a Serb friend he doesn't like them at all. I met Albanians most i didn't like seamed like they thought too highly of themselves, i dunno what achievement that is based on. And Seanus said something about Albanian girls being pretty, i met one with one absolutely gorgeous, but almost all the other ones were below average. I've never met a Serb girl so i can't comment.

I saw four young men sharing a cup of pepsi refill at KFC in Danzig, without eating anything. Using my friend as a translator I offered them a bucket of chicken which they gladly accepted. They were from eastern Poland, didn't speak a word of english but had a friendly conversation using hand gesture, random words and my friend as a translator. We went back to their place YHA right next to Danzig library to have a drink. That mean and devillish woman at the reception kicked us out after someone reported to her that we were drinking a can of beer. Oh what a country.

Danzig

By using that term you are disrespectful toward the country you visited. Your comments are not made in good faith. You came looking for deficiencies, not just to enjoy a new scenery. Your opinions are childish.

Aussiestella why didn't you visit Breslau,Krakau or even Allenstein? These beautiful cities have KFCs and .Mc Donalds full of swarming Germans not these decadent Poles.Especially the KFC in Breslau are a marvel a miracle of esthetics and architecture and I highly recommend the Wendys of Stettin a place where thousands of people all over the world come to visit each year.

Healthy Life Expectancy for Poland is 67? I'm pretty sure the figures have been in the low 70's for a while. I have a grandmother in Poland who's 90 and a grandfather who is in his late 70's.
