Sure you did, you're also an astronaut and and a superhero, got any more imaginary life tales to share?

I think I'll take the word of somebody who has been there and worked with the people in question over the imagination of an American in Wroclaw.

Sure you did,

True

you're also an astronaut and and a superhero,

Untrue

got any more imaginary life tales to share?

I'm off to the Africa next Thursday for a month's consultancy. I'll post an imaginary photo of the Blue Nile.

The battalion itself consists of several detachments, the salute platoon (the guys who do the shoot in the air) several guard companies and a mounted company, the mounted company is the exact equivalent of various household and guard regiments in other countries like UK.

Also untrue. They do have certain engineering functions should they be on active service.

I think I'll take the word of somebody who has been there and worked with the people in question over the imagination of an American in Wroclaw.

Quite.

In case of war these soldiers are incorporated into the Warsaw 10th motorised battalion and act as Army Command bodyguard unit being re-armed with Beryls and mounted in Humvees and the like and as such they have no engineering functions whatsoever.

Untrue - they have some very specific functions to do with engineering, however most of the time they sit around and wait for official visits.
Sokrates 8 | 3,345
15 Jul 2011 #35
So can you enlighten us as to what functions these are? Also no they dont sit around, they undergo the same training as any other infantry unit in Poland though less time intensive to allow for other duties, typically only about 80 of them (the battalion is over 400 strong) perform representative duties at any one time.

So what were you supposed to teach them? I got Mjr SkroĊ„ski on my facebook he's gonna be home in 2 days so i can mail him then.
JonnyM 11 | 2,615

Ah. So you've read or heard something. But still untrue.

No i told you i know the chief of HQ, he's a member of the Lower Silesian historical association of which i'm a member as well and i had a pleasure of meeting him several times, got him on my facebook, got his e-mail, bet you feel humiliated now mate?:)

So anyway tell us what are these "engineering duties"? Or are you just gonna spam "its untrue" to try and save your face?

i had a pleasure of meeting him several times, got him on my facebook,

You mentioned a major. By name!!! I only dealt with Colonels and upwards. But would never, ever mention their names on some internet forum. Though I am still in very close and long-standing contact with a few. It's clear you don't know anything about either our ways in Poland or about military life.

bet you feel humiliated now mate?:)

So anyway tell us what are these "engineering duties"?

Are you insane or an enemy spy?
Sokrates 8 | 3,345
15 Jul 2011 #39
Why? He mentions his name on multiple internet forums and is well known and respected as an amateur but solid historian.

Are you insane or an enemy spy?

Dude... tell me you're trolling?
JonnyM 11 | 2,615
15 Jul 2011 #40
an amateur but solid historian.

Very odd. And now you've spread his name and job further.

Dude... tell me you're trolling?

Would you discuss details of a military contract you've worked on?
Sokrates 8 | 3,345

Would you discuss details of a military contract you've worked on?

Obviously, but since you never worked for a military and i caught you lying you'll claim that it was all top secret :)))))))))

Seriously mate i can go even further and fetch one of the soldiers of said battalion who can prove his identity by answering to anyone with a Nasza-Klasa account or Facebook and he'll tell you himself that these guys have no engineering duties whatsoever since not one of them is a certified engineer:)))))
JonnyM 11 | 2,615
15 Jul 2011 #42
Obviously, but since you never worked for a military

Only twice. The first time in Poland. When you were still in short trousers.

nd i caught you lying

You didn't.

Seriously mate i can go even further and fetch one of the soldiers of said battalion who can prove his identity by answering to anyone with a Nasza-Klasa account or Facebook

Ah, somebody off the internet. Perhaps you'll post his name, job title and the combination to his office safe :-))

since not one of them is a certified engineer:)))))

Again, wrong.

Not at all, they all got pictures of themselves in uniform on Nasza-Klasa, you're a clown buddy and caught lying you were unable to save your face:)

Not at all, they all got pictures of themselves in uniform on Nasza-Klasa,

How tacky. Probably 'other ranks' or junior officers.

caught lying you were unable to save your face:)

No need to save my face. It is intact and available to view on this very site. The details of the work I was doing with the army, including names, is however still discreet.

You however have discussed military details. However you only have at best second hand knowledge, so we can take them with a pinch of salt.

Well, wild stab in the dark here, but, they blow the bejesus out of certain water spanning structures?????

the mounted company is the exact equivalent of various household and guard regiments in other countries like UK.

So,a bunch of drunken class A drug users with a tendency to de flower under age girls impressed by their big swords then?

There's a reason they had to install security cameras pointed at the ones guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier about 5 or 6 years ago. And it's nothing to do with slipping into the bushes with under age girls.

A bit pointless though as the VDV would already be down the Ochota road fanning out from the airport and all over Mokotow fields.....

And it's nothing to do with slipping into the bushes with under age girls.

Well, Ive seen the marching................

The craziest thing was that while Europe was projected to lose half of its population over a period of 24 hours and a total of 80-90% in the space of a month there were entire armies protected and outfited for the express purpose of fighting in that enviroment, you'd have in excess of a milion soldiers on both sides fighting for almost two months after the nuclear exchange untill they too would run out of supplies and die.

Jesus. This is depressing to think about. The nuclear weapon is the single most evil invention in history.

By the way, I think this year the Kraut.... err, German army has gone professional. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not even a nuke would be able to stop the polish winged hussars. Much less, any enemy personell in tanks or even F22's would shiver at the idea of going up against our Hussaria. Poland needs to invest more in horses!

Quite agree old chum,we really should,in europe be reduced to those forces we have as ceremonial troops.
The battlefield would certainly look more colourfull, Red Coats advancing in a thin red line alongside french curasiars with their shiny breast plates ready to do mortal combat with a bunch of greek commandos in ruffly mini skirts and pom pom slippers :)

What about navy and aviation? What horses would fight submarines and bombers? Seahorses and pegasuses might be an answer, but again the hussars would lose all the feathers riding either of these. So how do you solve this dilemma? You can't shove it up their rear-ends and pretend they are the hussars or can you? It is not as easy as it seems. I think investment in geese should also be upregulated.

I originally came to Poland to teach those guys

Which guys ?

Very odd. And now you've spread his name and job further.

Why not ?

I only dealt with Colonels and upwards.

Fascinating. Especially that the unit you are talking about don't have any people with these ranks. Dude, you are a feckin clown, you are proving it again and again.

Really? Does that mean my students were cardboard cutouts? Or maybe the people under whose command that unit is.

Fascinating.

So in fact you don't know what you're talking about, as per usual.

comments are pointless full of hatred for Poland

So you haven't really read many, have you, Moania?
