"It's too late for Germany" (but not for Poland)

Not in France,Spain,Portugal,Italy and Greece.......and increasingly so in Eastern Europe.....no,Germans are not popular....

What I would like to know is why is that so important to you that the Germans are disliked? I would really like to see the polls and surveys you rely on....meanwhile I have one for you:

Germany viewed positively throughout Europe, except in Greece

pewglobal.org/2017/06/15/post-brexit-europeans-more-favorable-toward-eu/pg_2017-06-15-eu-brexit-00-16

Look at that....France, UK, Spain..even Poland like us in their majority...

And dislike Russians in their majority.....fail boat putin, the most fail leader of this century.

most fail leader of this century.

A prime example of my ten year rule, no one should serve as an active head of state for more than ten years (give or take two). It's impossible for a leader to stay in touch with the real needs of the citizenry living in that bubble. More advanced countries should adopt term limits to make being the active head of state a shameful third world practice.

The most disastrous leaders (or most disastrous decisions by leaders) are well after the 10 year mark - 10 years as executive head of state? What a tinpot banana republic idea....

The more indispensible a leader seems the better the evidence that they need to leave - part of being an effective leader is grooming competent people to take your place. If a leader has no likely successors then they're too focused on simply retaining power at all costs (to be paid by the public)

*pats Crowie*....sure...if that makes you happy too! :)

Your viral friend Crowie isn`t some small-minded granny, like English queen, just for example. I assure you. I am much smarter then that. Empathic, too.

Read carefully what I wrote. I said ``Germany``. Candle for Germany. I mean bell for Germany.

So its Germany, not Germans. Germans will themselves be freed when Germany is no more. Its for the best of all. Who are Germans? They are Serbs. Well, without Germany many of them will again want to be Serbs. Or they can be anything else. Anything. Even Zulu, French, Masai, literally anything.

Well...then why not just let us be Germans? I don't wanna be french...or some african tribe...what is so cool being a Zulu btw....

As September 2015.... (or look around for liable successors.... it's not for nothing she's sometimes compared to a black widow)

Merkel has exceeded the 10 year rule yet?

There is a momentum growing across the political divide to limit the time of a chancellorship now. The mood has changed (thanks to ever-Merkel). But such changes need time and go slowly in Germany...

At least Germany is successful. Unlike us here with 5 leaders in 5 years or something like that. We are becoming backward. Her biggest mistake was those refugees ofcourse.

the downtrodden self-hating loser hated by everybody is mostly played by some chickens in fear of a to strong Germany...

You can say a lot things about Britain but not that they have an inferiority complex towards germany :-). It was always the other way around throughout the history the history.

The more you talk that way about Germany the more you show everybody how obsessed with Germany you are.

It is not that I'm particularly "obsessed" with Germany but I'm pointing out your typical German arrogance that lead you to disasters so many times in history.

And I will be pointing it out since you're so active in spreading false pro-German propaganda on this forum. Even in spite of a failed German politics in a recent years

Face it guys....Germans love Germany and the world loves Germany too! :)

The World "loves" Germans because they don't know them as much as we do. So you should separate a money fueled German propaganda aimed at improving the perception of a modern day Germany from the reality.

Why don't you ask regular Greeks what they think about you? :-)
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,848

blah blah bla

You are obsessed with Germany...Germans this...Germans that....let it be Spike, or go looking for help!

I actually wonder right now how those arrogant Germans bought so many positive votes all over Europe and the world....heh:)

Or how they spun a net of good PR over everybody to falsify the real "truth"...boah...what an achievement...nobody can what Germany can! Our propaganda must be really the best!

If that isn't a good reason to be arrogant then I dunno...LOL

*goes back re-reading these polls and surveys again...basking in the love and respect of the world*
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,848

The World "loves" Germans because they don't know them as much as we do.

And another question pops up...who is "we"?

Do you mean the UK Brits? 72% of them view Germany positively! :)

Or do you mean the Poland Poles? 69% of them view Germany positively! :)

Thats nearly two thirds of the questioned people...a huge majority! So...whom do you actually mean with "we"?

For any other who is also interested in such global classifications and comparisons here is another study..the "Good Country Index":

...What we mean by a Good Country is something much simpler: it's a country that contributes to the greater good of humanity.

goodcountryindex.org/results#

(Here Germany is fifth overall....our best result is actually in "World Order", second place, heh:)

Nobody is buying that Bratwurst Boy. You're preaching to Poles who are insensitive to this type of propaganda. We've been "trained" by communism how to separate the real thing from bullshit :-)

Also, don't try to attack me personally. That's a very uncivilized thing to do. Attack my arguments and not me personally. Should I really tech you the basics of civilized human interactions?

Germany remains truly THE NO 1 post-war comeback success story. Yet the rest of the world hasn't forgotten the terrible price of that success, nor should she ever!

Much pain and suffering went into the prosperity assured every German citizen after the Zero Hour, when a country was physically and psychologically was brought to her knees as probably no other since the sacking of Rome. And such was not without some justification, although we all realize in hindsight that the sweetness of revenge quickly sours when the consequences have been fully taken in. I am probably as moved to tears by the allied footage of the liberated Camps as I am by those appalling

scenes of ordinary Germans eating from garbage bins and realizing that their whole world has practically be reduced to rubble.

History always carries a warning.

What? They achieved nothing "on their own" after they lost WWII. Whole world worked for their success. (Marshall's Plan).

Also, don't try to attack me personally.

Dishes out but can't take it? You are no Pole, they are much more resilient than you!

Attack my arguments and not me personally.

Thing is your "arguments" are statements without a source, generalizations like a "we", a dirty toilet and wishful thinking...

You have giving me NOTHING of real value till now!

What? They achieved nothing "on their own" after they lost WWII. Whole world worked for their success. (Marshall's Plan).

I wonder how we made the world work for us after the clusterfuck of WWII just ended...quite an achievement, wouldn't you agree?

@NoTo Foreigners,

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Without German industrial grit, ingenuity, and sheer, raw strength of will, all the Marshall Plan money would have yielded squat!

No, face facts, the Germans triumphed economically, and we know it!

I like hearty discussions, period! :)

But of course it's more fun if you have an worthwhile adversary who can bring more to the battle field than personal opinions...

No, face facts, the Germans triumphed economically, and we know it!

Also Germans tortured to death Jews, Poles and other natinalities. They triumphed in genocide.

Sorry but i s.h.i.t on their success.

Hehe after 1945 it was Germans and their hard work that rebuilt Berlin hahahaah. With no help from others.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,848
20 Oct 2018 #1,317
Hehe...hahahaah....

And I think we now at last reach the bottom of what really drives on people like Spike and you and a few others on this board....it's plain jealousy stemming from the past.

It's a grudge that Germans didn't pay enough for their past crimes. They can't stomach that Germany today is such a wealthy, successful and respected country. Hence the denigration, the denial of it's success, this revelling in fantasies of it's destruction, even a dirty toilet becomes some club to try to beat Germany with...some feel Germany still has to pay, it has no right to be what it is. That is sadly something no poll, no survey and no realistic argument can change....so I won't even try.

You feel this bitterness, you nourish it, you keep it alive....and there is nothing Germany can do to change your mind. But this is your problem, understandably so....but not Germany's, sorry!

Good for Germany you are not "we"...you are not the majority, nowhere, not even in Greece (their grudge with Germany is much newer, he:)

"There is a lie, a bigger lie, and the statistics"

What it means like or being positive about Germany? What that even mean? It means that the mass media say positive things about Germany, that some products like cars are made in Germany, that they have generally good economy and are seen as an exmaple of economical success.

That positive outlook can change rapidly. Look at Russia not so long ago a darling of western media. All the issues were brushed aside as mischievous antics of some charming brat. Then came a turning point and now Russia is a villain in the eyes of the public. All due to info that pours from tv, radio and papers.

generalizations like a "we"

Well as an Ossie you have not call to put your chest forward. You have nothing to do with Germany's economical success their stance in todays world neither you nor your parents contributed to it or done much to advance it. You are in fact a beneficiary of their success and hence the nickname Ossie.

Anyhow countries have no friends or enemies they have their interests. Some people are bad some good in regardless of their nationality. I like some German, dislike some, hate your petty officials. However as a country I neither like or dislike Germany.

Your patience is amazing.

Get lost you trolling bed bug. That is once you stop licking his feet.

As if the Spike's of this world would make this difference...

You are in fact a beneficiary of their success and hence the nickname Ossie.

Agreed! But I don't feel bitterness towards the Wessis for their success....I feel grateful and blessed that I can live here in freedom now....and in a way I'm glad I could be a beneficiary of their former success too. Or otherwise East Germany would still look more like Ukraine today...

Look at Russia not so long ago a darling of western media.

I very much doubt that...

I always wonder how come Americans can celebrate Christopher Columbus? Firstly he was Italian. Secondly he murdered (or is responsible for) and/or enslaved all native american societies. Native Aemricans, Aztecs, Mayans... Why do Americans celebrate his day? Isn't it just like celebrating Hitler's birthday?
