Komorowski won Poland's presidency vote?

May 8 2010 they got together.

LOL You're serious? You mean this?:

Acting President Bronislaw Komorowski Speaker of Parliament announced that on the eve of the celebration of the end of World War II - will meet in Moscow with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. - The Russian side proposed a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev on Saturday. I look forward to this meeting as important not only from the standpoint of joint participation in the celebration of the victory over Nazism , but also important from the point of view of Polish-Russian relations - said the Marshal of the Sejm after judicial appointment ceremony at the Belvedere . Topics of talks with Russian President will include the Katyn and the investigation into the Smolensk crash .

It's hardly a private meeting, Seanus :))) Komorowski was there as a president of Poland.

I can't divulge such details, Paulina. I don't want to breach any legislation :)

He would have been there as acting President or Marshall, not as actual President.

What? I don't understand what you mean.

Yes, he was there as an acting President.

If you compare the programs and goals of these three parties - You'll see that apart from symbols and slogans - there is no real difference. There is no liberal, centre, or right-wing party in Poland at this moment.

Excellent post! Thanks for clearing it up.

Seanus

Well, what the scoop on this Komorowski cat, Seanus? Will he try and get out of this impending missile defense idiocy once and for all. As an American, I sincerely hope so.

We want the missile defency systems in PL!!!! Come on... what is better than **** off Putin and feel a bit safer than now???

Paulina, I was referring to inappropriate disclosure :)

Pete, I don't think he'll go for them but Tusk still might. You might get a false sense of the picture based on the Medvedev-Putin balance of power. Kommie is a puppet and will just rubber stamp most of what Tusk wants.

For me, he's a non-entity. A man who parades slogans left, right and center but is largely devoid of substance and clout.

I still don't understand what does it have to do with you claiming that Komorowski had a private meeting with Medvedev and that he likes him and Putin :) There was no private meeting.

So - what disclosure?

Do you know that Medvedev was the first PM to congratulate him? It stands to reason why.

It is impossible to have good pensions when you don't have youngs to sustain them

Very well said. To think that immigration is bad is a big mistake.
Immigrants are very important to any nation that wants to become an economic superpower.
Sorry for all the xenophobic racist and anti-imigrants folks. But it's the truth.... Read the books and see for yourselves how the economic superpowers of this world had in the past a direct relationship with the youth coming from other parts of the world.

It means... Medvedev likes Komorowski? :D

Btw, Medvedev is a President not a PM LOL

The same difference ;) Sorry, Putin was so I got it confused :)

Medvedev will love Kommie more and more :)

Medvedev will love Kommie more and more :)

It's possible he likes him for the sole reason that he's not Kaczyński :)
Russians living in Poland love Komorowski already - they're celebrating his victory :)

I can well imagine. PO stooges got a raw deal in the Smoleńsk investigation and pilots are having a hard time getting a clear picture due to 'omissions' and inexplicable holes that are not in conformance with how things should go. Kommie was too concerned with hiding potentially damning communist files, sth that JK wanted to take him up on.

"Stooges", "raw deal", "omissions", "inexplicable holes", "how things should go" - very precise, concrete and reasonable comment, Seanus :)))

Kommie was too concerned with hiding potentially damning communist files, sth that JK wanted to take him up on.

Stooges, raw deals, omissions, inexplicable holes, world conspiracy, "kabałas", Zionists - no wonder you prefer Jarosław Kaczyński, and dislike Komorowski :)

I think I've read enough :]

Thanks, I thought so too :) :)

You clearly aren't up to speed with the investigation. I suggest Szeremet and Rzepa.

smolensk-2010.pl/2010-05-26-questions-regarding-smolensk-air-crash.html
many unanswered questions from here. Just like 9/11, perfectly good questions.

I favour the official line and pilot error but, from what I have been reading on an official aviation forum, I can see the potential for a fabricated 'on course' line. Without further data, it's almost impossible to prove. However, it wouldn't surprise me if PO knew sth was amiss with the radar equipment in Smolensk. They can easily say it was working but then fiddle with it.

You thought what? :)

You clearly aren't up to speed with the investigation. I suggest Szeremet and Rzepa.

I think I'm aware of all the controversies, theories, etc. Rzepa is a right wing newspaper with a dislike for Tusk and his administration and they have some anti-Russian journalists. I'm not sure whether they can be objective about this :)

Just like 9/11,

Bush did it? :D Or the Jews maybe? :D

They can easily say it was working but then fiddle with it.

Seanus, be reasonable, why on Earth would they do that? :)))

I thought it was good too :) See above :)

No, Rzepa would be Zbigniew Rzepa, co-prosecutor with Andrzej Szeremet, but nevermind ;) ;)

There's no sense in discussing it with deniers. Besides, it's not the place. Kommie definitely didn't have a hand in it ;) ;)

What a VERY stupid question, that's all I can say about that.

Hey Crow, Kommie will sit well with Tadić, that's all I'll say here.

Oh, OK.
But you do look like a "Rzeczpospolita" fan :)

There's no sense in discussing it with deniers.

Nor with believers :)))

What a VERY stupid question, that's all I can say about that.

I was making fun, Seanus :) On the other hand... I don't know what to expect from you anymore :)))

Very precise, reasonable etc etc, you said. I agreed :) :)

I don't read Polish newspapers, or any newspapers in physical print for that matter. I have read random ones before but only to practise my Polish :) I have to polish my Polish :) I certainly don't really wanna know about Kommie :)

Well, neither know the full factual position so fair enough :)

A little surprise can be nice ;) ;)

I am more consistent than Kommie :)

The man acted like he had won days ago.

Very precise, reasonable etc etc, you said.

I was being ironic :)
It was the opposite, of course - not precise, not concrete and not reasonable :)

I don't read Polish newspapers, or any newspapers in physical print for that matter.

Not even on-line editions?

I am more consistent than Kommie :)

If you say so LOL

The man acted like he had won days ago.

Don't know about Komorowski, because I didn't follow the campaign, but in case you didn't notice - every candidate during campaign behaves as if he's going to win :)))

Well, the core content was right and my message was clear. I go beyond the denial stage, sorry ;)

Very seldom, Paulina. Online is for preference but I don't incorporate much of the material into my teaching. Besides, the students just shrug when Kommie's name comes up :)

Yes, I do :) :)

Oh, but Kommie got it down to a tee. He made it into a fine art :) He must have learned document removal from WTC 7 too ;) ;) Did he leave his wife out of the campaign for a reason? ;) Young Kaczyńska is not too bad to look at :) Smart young woman as well :)

It wasn't right :) I got the message, but it's not about that :)

I go beyond the denial stage, sorry ;)

What denial stage?

Very seldom, Paulina. Online is for preference but I don't incorporate much of the material into my teaching. Besides, the students just shrug when Kommie's name comes up :)

I meant reading newspapers for yourself, not gathering material for your students.

Yes, I do :) :)

Well, of course, how could YOU say otherwise? :)))

Oh, but Kommie got it down to a tee. He made it into a fine art :) He must have learned document removal from WTC 7 too ;) ;)

You're just prejudiced against him :) And in quite an agressive way, I must say.

Did he leave his wife out of the campaign for a reason? ;)

I don't know if he did, as I said - I didn't follow the campaign. I don't care about his wife too much, I don't even remember how Tusk's wife looks like :)

Young Kaczyńska is not too bad to look at :) Smart young woman as well :)

Well, I've heard Kaczyński did exploit her in the campaign. People didn't like this, I guess.

Seanus - the investigation isn't complete yet. Asking these questions is pointless, because we don't know what the Polish investigators are actually asking.

The man acted like he had won days ago.

He would have had the victory in his pocket if Lech was still alive - PIS was sure Tusk's gonna be the candidate so their whole election plan was aiming against Tusk. After PIS's gov their support was on a dawnward spiral and if Lech were to be the candidate he would loose. The amount of votes they have gathered is all thanks to Lechs death, churches support and inability of Komorowski to run a proper campaign ( being a president, a marshal and a candidate at the same time )

Good point there, delph. However, it's almost 3 months on and black box data has been released and those ATC guys have been interviewed regarding flight paths and altitudes. Conjectural speculation, coupled with available data, should be the norm if you ask me. No harm in asking, especially if you have flying exp and something to go on, wouldn't you say?

Oh, this is about Kommie's win so I guarantee you that he won't cast the net wider on the investigation.
