Nachbarschaft

The Treaty is "developmental".

I'm not sure about the 'develop' part but it surely is mental.

"Nachbarschaft"! *rolls eyes*

Anti-immigration Poles will always be funny to me.

Because you are retarded.

What is so strange about this? Russia is in our neighbourhood, diplomatically speaking, with Kaliningrad being only a couple of hundreds of kilometers away.

"Neighbourhood" in diplomatic terms doesn't just include countries that share borders, but ones that are either part of or border a geographic region, political body and so on.

The EU neighborhood program includes countries like Georgia that do not share a border with any EU country.

Exactly, Germany historically likes to suck Russian dick, unless there is no Poland as a buffer, in that case they get their ass kicked by Russia.

Iron, easy with those body parts...You look stupid.

Because you are retarded.

Are you a doctor or is this the best you can do?

I understand that people who are retarded have difficulty recognizing who is and who is retarded. But believe me, for people without such impairment, it is very easy to spot a retard; it is not magic.

I'd say that score is 50/50.

That's a strange distinction...

Is this president blocks everything that's good for Poland? Who elected him? 🙉

president blocks everything that's good for Poland?

What I noticed in his announcement (besides a basic lack of sense and logic) was that his body language was not like him.... the eyes were very creepy and he gave off very nervous energy, no real congruence which suggests that this originated with Jarek.

As for who elected him.... mostly welfare dependent easterners, you know PiS's base.

Those Tusk losers have never done anything good for Poland.

Damn right they're dragging Poland down, not to mention structural issues that haven't been addressed properly for decades.

Meh... your'e a perennial malcontent and nothing would make you happy. Poland has never been better off economically.

the PiS plan to sell of gold reserves (instead of taking part in SAFE) on the other hands sounds kind of crazy....

Is there any way to bypass the presidential veto in Poland?
Torq  39 | 2578

Is there any way to bypass the presidential veto in Poland?

Yes. You need 3/5 of all the votes with at least half of MPs present during the vote. In the current Sejm it is highly unlikely (opposition has too many MPs).
Ironside  53 | 14288

part in SAFE)

SAFE, Poland, better say out of it. It is yet another bad deal handled by the EU.

....Poland was about to get lotsa money to rebuild his defense!

politico.eu/article/8099742/

Why not just take it and do exactly this? Once its invested in tanks and drones and Iron Domes or even nukes or whatever, what handle would then the EU or Germany still have on it?

A day after vetoing a bill paving the way for almost €44 billion in defense loans from the EU, Poland's president has suggested Germany should foot the bill as reparations for World War II. ...

tvpworld.com/92088360/nawrocki-german-wwii-reparations-should-pay-for-polands-defense

Well...alot of these 44 Billions would had been german money....and what better WWII reparation than letting your former enemy pay for your future army preparing for the upcoming WWIII....

I don't understand this Nawrocki guy....

Well, the opinions vary.

First of all, it's not free money but a loan (a 45 year loan!); a loan in foreign currency at that which makes it a bit risky (but one could argue that having weaker military is risky as well). Besides, exactly as with EU Recovery and Resilience Plan it is conditional and respective installments can be blocked by the EU at will. PiS had very bad experiences with RRP money and Nawrocki is basically a PiS president (Kaczynski's marionette). He wants PKO (Poland's national bank) to finance the weapons from its profits and by selling a part of our gold reserve (hardly feasible but that's their plan). Also, the weapons and ammunition factories are in the regions traditionally faithful to PiS, and if Tusk managed to flood them with sh*tloads of money (loan or not), PiS might lose a lot of votes there, which would effectively mean the end of them (they are already losing millions of votes to Braun and Konfederacja).

So, once again in Polish history, party divisions are more important than our country's safety. We never learn.

....but....if its given out with full hands and lotsa expensive military stuff bought with it already? How? 😮

....PiS might lose a lot of votes there,...

..yes....that is at least an understandable explanation...that could be possible!
Torq  39 | 2578
14 Mar 2026   #509
How? 😮

... as I understand it, it wouldn't be all of the money at once, but given in installments over time, and if the EU wasn't happy with something, they could stop the funds; then Poland, with already signed contracts, would have to find money and it might not be that easy during a given fiscal year with the budget already voted and implemented.

Still, I think we should take that loan, and reinforce the army as much as possible. We are a frontline country, we have to make certain sacrifices and take some risks.

that could be possible!

That is the most likely explanation--a disgrace.
Bratwurst Boy  9 | 12922

and if the EU wasn't happy with something, they could stop the funds

.....now that sounds quite bad to my ears too...that would need to be talked over before!
