Poland is introducing border controls since Monday on borders with Germany and Lithuania. Germany so Germans stop dumping their migrants on us, and Lithuania because apparently Lithuanians couldn't manage to stop Luka pushing migrants over their border.
What a coincidence Poland has reinstated the use of landmines just last week
Especially when Poland stops pushing their illegals over the german border
The exact opposite is happening now. I knew it. You remember that I was talking about this long before it actually happened. My criticisms of Germany aren't based on an anti-German phobia; it's the reality of some Germans behaving poorly.
Additionally, Germany is violating EU law regarding open borders. Why isn't there an outcry in Brussels about this, along with multiple complaints and resolutions? It's because we are dealing with the German-led EU, just as I predicted. I'm a realist, while you are a dreamer, my friend. Regarding the decision, yes, it was a necessary course of action that should have been taken long ago. I hope the Tusk government will implement it, but so far they have misled the public, as Tusk seems to be aligned with German interests. Let's see if he dares to lie about it again. He had to announce it because people began to react strongly, which included citizen border patrols
Only because you don't know the first thing about religion. The Pope is free to express his views, but there is no obligation to listen to him unless he speaks on matters of doctrine ex cathedra; in those cases, everyone is expected to comply.
What hypocrisy on the Polish side. For years various Polish governments have claimed that Germany's decision to not controle its' borders was the reason why so many migrants were coming to Europe.
Now that Germany is controlling its' borders they are still unhappy because now the realization sets in that they can no longer wave migrants through to Germany, but may actually be stuck with those arrivals.
I suppose the silver lining here is the decision to controle the borders to Lithuania will also mean that fewer migrants will come through this route.
when Poland stops pushing their illegals over the german border,
The state of Poland is doing no such thing. On the other hand a lot of Polish citizens are for sure helping with transport for a quick buck, similar in Ukraine, Russia or Lithuania too. Thinking it will be Germany's problem anyways and they can earn cash.
For Germany to start pushing back on this without co-operation with state actors in Poland, makes it seem Germany tries to undermine state legitimacy. Forcing a negative response even from a Pro-German prime minister. It all was handled very bad in a bad situation. This is not the way to solve this.

Nah....these border controls are purely and only on the german side....that has nothing to do with polish legitimacy!
Experiences have proven over the years that all that open-borders-vision has to stay a fantasy, it's just not realistic in these times....IMHO the EU will end up walling itself in on its outside, so that all EU-member inside can get back the control over the movements of people from the outside....right now it's a joke and only a source for frustrations and anger! It just doesn't work and risks in the end (if nothing is done) the whole union instead!

Is that not clear enough? It i against the EU law. Also, it was supposed to be temporary this was the Germans' excuse, but it has been going on for long enough to be permanent. Now that the Tusk government announced that Poland will establish checkpoints on the Polish side of the border, it seems the Germans have an issue with it.
By the way, the German government wants to sort out their problem by shifting it onto Poland and whoever is stupid enough to take those people and does not ask questions. The Tusk government's support has dramatically gone down after that issue became known to the Polish public. Hence his desperate announcements.
Well....we will hear THAT often in the next time! The EU laws have been planned and enacted in other times, with often very much different governments with different priorities. Lotsa laws will be adapted if not outright thrown under the table or just ignored by the govs, whatever comes first....my guess!
Do you know why I'm emphasizing this issue? Over the past few years, Poland has frequently encountered this situation, and there have been financial penalties to pay. However, now that the German government is openly disregarding EU law, I haven't heard of any penalties or threats from Brussels directed at Germany. This really supports my point.
As you know, I believe that many of these laws are questionable, particularly the green policies. I think Poland should completely discard them since EU law does not treat all member states equally.

Do you have a link for me?
Here some interesting info about the current state of borders in the EU:
.... There are repeated temporary reintroductions, for example due to the COVID-19 pandemic or during international events such as the Olympic Games and the European Football Championship in 2024. In addition, some EU member states have effectively reintroduced permanent border controls in recent years. Austria has continuously controlled its borders with Hungary and Slovenia since 2015 to "limit migration."
The European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled in 2022 that this practice violates the Schengen Borders Code. Germany reintroduced border controls with Austria for the same purpose in 2015, which have been continuously extended to this day. In a January 2024 ruling, the Munich Administrative Court, citing ECJ case law, found that these controls also do not comply with the European legal requirements of the Schengen Borders Code and are therefore unlawful.....
.... The reintroduction of border controls can be reviewed by the European Court of Justice (ECJ). However, such a procedure cannot be initiated by individuals or civil society organizations. This would actually be the responsibility of the European Commission, which, as the so-called "guardian of the treaties," has a supervisory function.
However, the Commission's previous practice has shown that, for political reasons, it largely refrains from initiating infringement proceedings against member states in the area of migration and border control. However, in addition to the European Commission, other EU member states can also initiate such controls. The Schengen Borders Code provides for a special "consultation procedure" (Article 27a).....
However, now that the German government is openly disregarding EU law
Two things to consider here.
1) It is far from certain that Germany is breaking EU law here. There are conditions under which border controles and e.g. suspending Dublin are perfectly legal per EU law. The German government argues that those conditions are met. The European courts will have the final say on the matter, we will know how things stand in 1-2 years.
2) We are in the current situation because Germany's neighbours - including Poland - have been systematically breaking EU law. Per EU law, Poland is responsible for any refugee that crosses the border from Belarus, not Germany. That Poland is instead of processing their asylum application is instead waving them through and even refuses to take them back afterwards is in clear violation of Dublin and has now led to the German reaction.
Remember Merkel?
Is she still chancellor? The new German government has made it clear that her refugee policy is no longer applied. Something I thought most people in Poland would welcome?
I suppose now that those migrants are no longer exclusively arriving from Southern Europe, this might have changed.
