i know what you want to say. We can generally think negative of English (with a good reason, of course) but, on their credit English, within Protestantism, preserved connection with spirituality that existed prior to Christianity. We Serbians understand that because we also managed to preserve it.
This explains pretty well why hospitality is no longer common since Christianity took over.
SLAVA survived among Serbians incorporated within Christianity and that is important. Other Slavs more and more ask Serbs for the details of the custom. It would be very simple for Catholic, Protestant and other Orthodox Slavs to accept to celebrate SLAVA. It doesn`t endanger their Christianity.
