It's not looking good for him. Trump is claiming that the BBC's portrayal of him has caused massive damage to his brand, properties and businesses. A Federal magistrate judge has now said he must turn over his business records to the BBC showing damages since the documentary aired.
The reality is that Trump's family businesses have raked in at least $2billion dollars since he was re-elected. Ahem.
AFAIK part of the lawsuit has already been dropped.
He pretended he lost 10 billion USD and now he has to either prove that with full disclosure of all financial records or shut up.
This will be costly for him. either way. He can either pull out of the case (and compensate the BBC for their costs) or continue and lose, paying even more costs.
Ziobro has been spotted at the Budapest airport and Romanowski will also probably try to..
Well well well.
Romanowski has been found. He's reportedly in Transnistria.
A r^SSian asset from PiS hiding out in a r*SSian fake enclave with no extradition treaties. Who'd a thunk it...
...a spokeswoman for Warsaw's district court, which is responsible for extradition matters, confirmed to news website Gazeta.pl that this was the case. "The letter and envelope indicate that the package was sent to the court from Tiraspol in Transnistria," said judge Anna Ptaszek. "It bears his handwritten signature."
@mafketis Yes. They should let him stew and make sure the case can and will be opened as soon as he's somewhere extraditable.
I've always fancied going there out of curiosity (and am not too far away now). The comments from the politician about how the orc KGB/FSB control entry there is offputting though.
Some of Poland's top officials are still closely connected to their Russian counterparts. It may not be a disaster in light of the proverb "keep your friends close and your enemies closer," but corruption and fraud are still blatant in modern Poland.
