I had absolutely no trouble at all in the years when I lived surrounded by Muslims

cause you're a guy, heard very different stories from women

not something I can say about the years after that when surrounded by Catholics

what did they do to you?

cause you're a guy, heard very different stories from women

Neither of the women I shared a house with during those years had any problems at all either. The absolute worst that happened to any of us was being woken up by the calls to prayer during Ramadan when the nearest mosque had outdoor services due to overcrowding.

what did they do to you?

Mostly being aggressive and trying to fight with me for the crime of talking to Polish women. Well, that and laughing at them when they tried to be macho and impress those women.

Ever try to talk to muslim women that way? How would a muslim guy friend respond to you being interested in his sister?

I've known lots of women who found daily life really unpleasant when there were a lot of muslims about....

Are you questioning their lived experience?

No, they didn't go to the bars I went to.

How would a muslim guy friend respond to you being interested in his sister?

Probably pleased that I'd be converting to Islam.

Are you questioning their lived experience?

I haven't heard their lived experiences, only your claims about it. And you aren't quite as reliable a source as you were some years ago. So, should I based my opinions on third-hand anecdotes or what I've seen and experienced for myself and seem other people experiencing?

Sorry to say this, but the majority of Muslims are scum and should not be welcomed into the western world.

I know many good muslims but if it came to a war between muslims and westerners?I would not trust many of the "Good Muslims" to side with us.
They will stick by their own.

Are those who criticize Muslims or Jews Christians? Because it doesn't make sense to refer to their religion if one is a non-believer.
Miloslaw  27 | 5945

I don't get your point.

Islam is not so much a religion as a political standpoint.

Muslims may say the same about the Christian or Jewish ideology. Both Islam and Christianity are religions though.

With the exception of a very few in Kuwait (all of whom were members of the supposed social elite), all of the Muslims I've met in person have been far nicer than the average Catholic I've met in Poland.

How do you know that the people you met in Poland were Catholic? Also, given the fact that you are a heathen and most likely a heretic, they have been generous and nice enough to give up on the idea of burning you at the stake. Cherish it.

I suppose it is likely that they weren't practising Catholics who meet the minimum standards required from the faithful. But I'm sure that 90% of them would identify themselves as Catholics.

Keep talking and I'll turn you into a newt.

Don't worry, you'll get better.

Do you possess such a power? That witchcraft, you indeed should be burned at the stake.

That's just anecdote dressed up as insight. Individual behavior isn't a proxy for entire religions or countries.

If personal encounters were evidence, everyone would be "right" all the time and no one would ever be wrong. That's not analysis, that's memory mixed with your nasty bias.

Why did you leave the UK? My guess is you couldn't hack a real job there and ended up in Poland for lower pay because it was the only place that would hire you.

Where do I claim it's insight? It's very clearly a statement of personal experience that makes no claim to speak about entire religions or countries.

I actually moved to Poland because there was a great need for people with my skills and training. I had offers on the table from both Japan and Saudi Arabia which would have paid far more than I'd have earned in the UK, but I passed them up to do voluntary work in Poland. You've heard of voluntary work, haven't you? I'm sure that to you it's something that other people do. But if you want to talk about jobs and salary, why do you clean windows for a living? Is it because your personality and skill set make it impossible to do anything more demanding or better paid?

I get a very strong whiff of "GPT" from your last few days of posting.

I may just be getting paranoid through spending so much time around machine generated text... but these structures like:

1) "It's not X, but Y"

2) "This could be X, but it seems more like Y masquerading as X"

You have two of them, in a very short piece of text:

1) "That's just anecdote dressed up as insight."

2) "That's not analysis, that's memory mixed up with bias."

Who the hell writes like this in real life? And why on Earth use the machine for PF.com?

Your normal writing was perfectly fine...

Yip, I was amused when Joker GPTed me with...

"That's not strategy, that's a temper tantrum with a geopolitical costume on."

... but I don't mind really. I sometimes use it too, to refine my ramblings a bit. :)

That's not strategy, that's a temper tantrum with a geopolitical costume on.

Lololol!

People are hating on the em dash and the use of the word "delve" - but more annoying than anything else in its style, are these "it's not X but Y" - at least for me.

In any case, it is quite amusing to encounter the robot version of Joker. Why he decided to do this, and now - is an open question. Maybe he got tired of writing up posts, and simply instructed the robot: "Own these libtards for me".

but I don't mind really. I sometimes use it too, to refine my ramblings a bit.

I struggle to understand why you would want the machine to refine anything for you? You write so well, and in live language - why let it butcher your meaning?

5D chess.

We don't want AI to get too powerful, right? But it learns by imitating us. So, when we use it to write something for us, then it learns by imitating itself, so we will always be able to distinguish between AI text and a human one.

He, he - artificial intelligence will never beat natural stupidity, as someone wise once said. :)

I know it's wrong... because these people may simply be anxious - but I reject out of hand any email (that asks something of me), that was written by a machine.

My little brother - who is an electrical engineer (not an august humanitarian like moi) - I beat psychologically for reaching for his damn phone anytime he wants to prove me wrong at something. It's incredibly frustrating, to be talking to this guy, and see him furiously typing away under the table instead of listening to me.

I'm not a specialist at very many fields, but when I ask the robot something which I know something about - more often than not it gives me a completely wrong response. I correct it then, and then it tries to gaslight me into thinking I'm stupid.

If I was in an academic or business environment, and corrected someone, and in response they told me I'm wrong and doubled down on their errors - I would simply never talk to that person again... Literally - would forever avoid contact with that person. But this thing does it routinely...

Do you work with this every day?

But this thing does it routinely...

Yeah... and people use it on regular basis for everything these days. I write rather well in Polish and my wife used to come to me when she had to write an academic article, a postgraduate dissertation or even a stupid formal email. I was more than happy to help and she was quite grateful (and had a lot of magical ways to express her gratitude, if you know what I mean). These days the bloody thing writes everything for her and I feel useless. :-/

Not to mention all the guys at work who use it to maintain correspondence with parents who are later shocked during a face-to-face meeting that this teacher is not quite as eloquent as they appeared in their emails. Retards.

Do you work with this every day?

I will no longer respond to any of your posts, Analien, which are shorter than two lines. You're like another kind of robot - a one that has a 10-12 word limit per post.

In all your Russianess you have a hard time comprehending a Slav wanting to butcher the language of the anglosass? This only proves yet again Poles are more slavic then Russians.

This is an unquestionable truth and so are Slowaks,Czechs,Slovenians and Croatians.

I'm not a robot, it's just my poor knowledge of English that makes my posts usually short.

Well, you can always write in your native (volks)deutsch and use GPT to translate it into English. AI does a rather good job at translating short, unsophisticated texts which lack intellectual depth, so it's a perfect tool for your needs.

No, I wrote that I use it sometimes not often. The fact that you can't distinguish between two simple adverbs of frequency makes your case hopeless. With or without AI.

Hmm... let's see...

Dear Torq, hear my words:
your post does not fit the form,
it is no haiku.
