yes I want the old Germany back

How old? How far back? Which period?

How far back?

....I've thought about that....the BRD in the 80's was kinda "perfect" for an Ossi....that's what most wanted to unify with/be like in '89.

The BRD of today....seriously....I think the reformer of back then, those who wanted to try out first to make the GDR better, would have more chances.

West-Germany doesn't look that appealing today anymore....I think many East-Europeans can sympathize, the whole West-EU-thingie isn't that popular anymore...no longer such an glamorous Idol to follow unquestioning!

So you favour something much more authoritarian?

Would everyone agree to that?

I'm questioning the power of Brussels....that EU-law to keep borders open trumps national law, even if for everybody visible it isn't working right....is that authoritarian for you?

'89 we broke down the borders...the people celebrated freedom, not at last their freedom of movement....compare that to now, what do you think happened?

law to keep borders open

Which borders? Are any external borders open?

As far as I know, the only open borders are within Schengen,

Which borders?

German borders!

We found out the hard way that our brilliant plan(s) to make our neighbours responsible for all outer-EU-immigrants didn't work. Our beloved neighbours showed Berlin the finger and just waved the incomers on, knowing they mostly want to go to Germany anyhow....

So...all these nice ideas are for the dustbin....there is not much else beside the ultima ratio securing the EU outer borders...not leaving it to these countries alone, which happen to be on the outside, but paying them, sending troops, arming them...the whole nine yards. Then we could keep the inner EU-borders, the inner EU-travel, the inner EU-trade etc. open....but we are not there yet.

I have told you that you suck,
destabilizing everything you touch,
Sometimes it takes longer, and sometimes you can see the consequences right away.

the whole West-EU-thingie isn't that popular anymore...

Indeed, and all those foodies who claim how much people in Poland support the EU fail to see that.

The EU is extremely authoritarian. geez! Still, they are extremely incompetent, too. The only thing they are good at is creating problems for the member states and forcing economically suicidal regulations.

creating problems for the member states and forcing economically suicidal regulations.

That's how bureaucrats everywhere justify their existence.

Inflation is putting the squeeze on the U.K.
People are finding it a hard time to make ends meet.
The data highlighted in this article increasing pressures on British households, as prices of electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 6.7% in the year to April.
The prices of water and sewerage rose by 26.1% in the month to April, marking the largest monthly hike since at least February 1988.

They aren't particularly authoritarian as an organisation (at least no more than you'd expect a trade association to be) however yes, they're mired in crippling bureaucracy and have a ridiculous librerum veto which strangles progress.

EZB is just lowering the interest rate to 2.0%. So inflation in the EU is not a problem.

So inflation in the EU is not a problem.

Or is it a problem
Anywhere else in Europe except parts of the Balkans. If Bulgaria enters the Eurozone it will be Greece squared.

Or is it a problem

I don't think so, there has been a lot of inflation in recent years, for example cars have gone up in price by 50%. Now, however, the market needs a break or it will completely collapse.

Perhaps less 'market' and more levelling up

I dont' understand why either Bulgaria or the Eurozone want each other?

I really don't hate the EU but it does go off on tangents that it can't stop even after its clear there's no reason to....

Bulgaria doesn't particularly want it however empire building is empire building.

Never mind that they've defaulted twice.

Shooter apparently 22.... the problem isn't kids around guns or guns per se but the terrible combination of guns and crazy people....

of guns and crazy people....

Crazy people are known to be crazy very early...

In the past, they would be locked up. Today, they are celebrated as another gender or no gender... like this moron...

That's why we have Selective Service Administration...They know how to sort them out...
