It was conducted under the laws of both countries and agreed by both parties involved. The UN had no role and neither of the interested parties called for them to.

Stop trolling; it's past your bedtime.

A british court declared that scotland has no right to hold an independence referendum without london's blessing. It does not get any more perverted than that.

court

The law is the law; Scotland does after all have its own legal system. and of course has already had a referendum.

You can't just call a random vote just because you don't like the result of a previous one.

It does not get any more perverted than that.

It does; your trolling posts, for example.

Self-determination means just that - by yourself and without the oppressor's consent. But leave it to the morons in the UK and the oppressor's opinion and consent are needed.

by yourself

Exactly. And the Scottish court and the Scottish/English Supreme Court have bothdetermined that the request by one particular political party is outside the law

oppressor's

Sturgeon's?

Would you like to pay a carbon tax every time that you turn your heater on ?
What about every time that you fill up your vehicle with gasoline ?
This will soon be what life is like in Europe.
The EU plans to impose direct carbon taxes on individuals.
This is not an internet rumor.
You Lefty Tree Huggers wanted it so now pay for it.
News sources in Europe are reporting on it, and you can find information about this plan on the official website of the European Parliament.
I don't know why America is not talking about this, because this is a huge story.

We in Germany pay already about 50% gasoline tax. Isn't it enough?

Too bad Biden shut down oil production and pipelines. We could have exported enough gas for all of Europe. You might not like Trump but his polices were spot on.

Big Brother is watching.

That is just the start of it, have you heard the latest ?
In a public service announcement to the German public, state broadcaster WDR informed viewers that washing once a week is necessary to meet the goals outlined by the globalist elites as part of their Great Reset agenda.

Shower with a friend and save water. 🤭

the globalist elites as part of their Great Reset agenda.

That is a conspiracy theory and a long debunked one.

"One can see long-standing and familiar right-wing conspiracy tropes at play in the Great Reset conspiracy, including the notion that a group of elites are'

adl.org/resources/blog/great-reset-conspiracy-flourishes-amid-continued-pandemic

And it wasn't a 'public service announcement'; it was just someone's crazy suggestion on a TV show.
---
Correction; it wasn't even on a TV show. It was just an Instagram post by some guy who works for a local TV station.

So no, not a 'public service announcement' from a 'state broadcaster' at all...

The E.U. seems to be surviving without Russia's gas this winter.
Hey B.B.
I turned my heat down so we could send you some LNG to heat your homes within Germany.
The first shipment arrived in Germany from America today.

Ossi

That's ancient history (over 30 years now), no more Ossis or Wessis these days. And who knows, maybe one day EU citizens will develop some sort of collective European identity/patriotism. Not very likely, but here's hoping. Think about it: 4.5 million sq. km, 450 million people, strong industry, nuclear weapons and shi*loads of money - nobody would dare to mess with united Europe.

Currently, judging by your anti European and anti German contribution in other threads, it is a long way to such shared identity.

from lisbon to vladivostok?

Torqi is definitely not anti-German....he might gripe about our actual political gov and it's priorities, but then...who doesn't.

To dislike politics and politicians will be a firm part of our future common european identity, I'm totally sure of it...it is part of our DNA! :)

I wrote "EU citizens". Since when is Russia in the EU?

Torqi is definitely not anti-German...

Of course not! I watch Bundesliga, devour Pretzels and Bratkartoffeln like there's no tomorrow, and play skat like crazy. I'm basically a German in denial. :D

* not to mention my contribution to Politik Sind Wir forum ;)

it is part of our DNA! :)

Exactly! I dislike Tusk much more than I dislike any Germany politician - so there! :)

European DNA is increasingly a complex mix reflecting so many different parts of the world.

This will only increase.

You already admitted to your krautophillia and your russophilia so where do you think your newly discovered europhillia will lead to?
it's pretty simple, there can only be one national anthem so do you want your children to sing Mazurek Dąbrowskiego or the Anthem of Europe/Ode to joy in school?

do you want your children to sing Mazurek Dąbrowskiego or the Anthem of Europe/Ode to joy in school?

I can easily picture them singing both! Actually, I sang both at school myself! :) Didn't you sing "Oda do radości" at school, Ami?

As for my children - I am Polish, so I will raise them in love to Germany, Russia, Europe and the World in general, because love is the most recognizable Polish trait. By the way - I have two children; how many do you have, Ami?

They've not figured out yet that we always, but always win.

Who are you trying to convince of that ?
Church of England to refuse to allow same-sex marriages

No, since no major group has asked them to, no campaign, no parliamentary bill to amend their rules, no court case about it.

Most people in the UK have register office weddings nowadays.

As i say, we always win.

As i say, we always win.

Simple propaganda to convince yourself.
You will never win against the inspired words of God our Father.
The Church of England on Wednesday outlined proposals that would refuse same-sex marriages in its churches, continuing to teach that marriage is between "one man and one woman for life," it said in a statement. The decision came after five years of debate.

Most people in the UK have register office weddings nowadays.

Poor parenting.
