If Trump was invited it would just be a huge distraction from a solemn reflective occasion because everything has to be about him.

The leftard news media

That's why they call it "Donkey Pox".
The decease that is ruining America.

If Trump was invited it would just be a huge distraction

I would have to agree with that one.

If Trump was invited

There's no reason to. He isn't a current head of state.

rahmetli queen

An example of corporate madness or a personality cult?

Or perhaps a tribute to someone very popular and missed who has just passed away after being the world's longest serving head of state and the most recognisable person on the planet.

They drive her dead around the country for 10 days, luckily that it's cold, otherwise she would already stink. Another thing is arresting anyone who expresses protest or displeasure in any way. In Edinburgh, they arrested even those who expressed displeasure towards that deranged Andrew. So you can't even rebel against the rapist because he's the tortoise's son... And then they say North Korea... North Korea is also in the UK. The difference is that they call it tradition.

after being the world's longest serving head of state

Nothing of the record, Louis XIV. remains the longest reigning monarch in human history. I hoped she could surpass him, she was supposed to live until the end of May 2024.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_longest-reigning_monarchs

and the most recognisable person on the planet.

Novak Djokovic is way more popular and recognisable than her in countries like Brazil and Argentina, Africa, China and other third world countries. His tennis coach Bogdan Obradovic publicly accused the queen that she was jealous of his popularity and that she arranged through her secret service for him to be detained in Australia. He also was very critical of the queen on how she raised her son Andrew. 😁

Louis XIV. remains the longest reigning monarch in human history.

Human history? So who was the longest reigning in non-human history then? Oh, and it's well known that Louis XIV died and was replaced by a double who also died and was replaced etc. In total there were five Louis XIVs.

His wife is I think Danish

I meant Elisabeth and Margarethe... I saw some article how the old Greek and Danish royal families become entwined throughout Europe (unlike say the Dutch or Swedish...).

Juan Carlos's wife is Sofia from Greece though apparently there's a Danish connection there too.... it all seems.... very tangled.

The Royal Family has dropped the ball yet again......
While the rest of the men in the royal family will proudly wear their military uniforms to Queen Elizabeth's funeral and vigil on September 19, Prince Harry will not be allowed to do the same, despite his status as a war veteran with active service experience in Afghanistan and a decade spent in the British army.

One more reason I despise stiff lipped royalty.
If I were Harry I would show up wearing a Rolling Stones T-shirt with the caption, "Grandparents Rock." :-)

Elisabeth and Margarethe

Distantly i think. Prince Phillip was more closely related to the House of Schleswig Holstein, as is the ex-King of Greece.

dropped the ball

Jim is trash talking again. Who does or doesn't wear what at such an event is determined by a very strict set of rules. They do not vary and there are no exceptions because someone not involved thinks there ought to be.

Not all "the men in the royal family" will wear uniform; only those who currently active as C in C of a regiment or are otherwise currently serving. And one woman will be in uniform for that reason.

Jim is trash talking again.

Facts are facts joun, Harry earned the right wear his military uniform with honor.
While Uncle Andy, the rapist, will be allowed to wear his military uniform in dsihonor.
WTF !
And to make matters worse his step daddy Charly will be wearing his dress !

Who does or doesn't wear what at such an event is determined by a very strict set of rules.

Well whoever makes up these unfair bias dictatorial rules suck in my opinion.
Just saying......... :-/

While Uncle Andy, the rapist, will be allowed to wear his military uniform in dsihonor.

Well, he wasn't allowed to wear his uniform during the walk with his siblings behind the coffin....he is officially no longer part of the "working" royals, I've heard.

It's really a sign of status inside the family, not of achievements....
johnny reb 36 | 7,578

he wasn't allowed to wear his uniform during the walk behind the coffin...

So, we aren't debating that.
The guy should be in prison and the only reason he isn't is because of his mama's clout.
He shamed his mother to no end yet will be allowed to look important at her funeral wearing his military uniform in disgrace while the red headed grand step son will not be able to wear his with high honors.

Sorry B.B., but common-sense rules in this case and not some bias set of stupid ass rules to merely save face.
(as joun googles as fast as his skinny boney fingers can go - lol)

While Uncle Andy, the rapist,

Prince Andrew, Duke of York to you. Has he been convicted of any crime? No.

And, as you were told, he won't be wearing a uniform to The Queen's funeral. Nor will Prince Henry, Duke of Sussex.

There is an exception for The Vigil of The Princes. Prince Andrew is expected to be in uniform. No statement has been made about Prince Henry; they are not trashy celebrities and the Royal Household have no obligation to inform foreign trolls or the trashy websites they read about the details of ancient ceremonies.

It's really a sign of status inside the family,

So many people analysing what they think is their every move. So many trashy tabloids and TV pundits making a living trying to interpret things for housewives round the world in flea-bitten swamps like Haiti, Somalia, Michigan and Guatemala who want to live their lives vicariously through people they don't even know how to address.

And the reality is of course very different. Things happen according to timr-tested rules and protocols. Not to suit the whim of some old bag with stretched out face emoting about it on cable TV.

So, we aren't debating that.

We aren't 'debating'. This isn't a debating club. The rest of us are discussing, Jim is trolling.

Please stick to the topic of the thread

MOD....this IS European News, (Which is the threads name) like it or not.
Just because you are an embarrassed Brit doesn't mean that some of the Polish may be interested
Move the thread to the back page like you did the American Polish thread if that's the case

Has he been convicted of any crime? No.

One more time joun, real slow this time.

Unproven allegations.

Money found O.J. not guilty too until he got put in front of a civil court.
Bring the pedophile Andy to the U.S. and put him on trial with his then 17 year old sex slave as a witness which will change your 'allegations' to GUILTY AS CHARGED !

Just look at Andy and his teen sex slave in the picture.

nypost.com/2022/03/08/virginia-giuffre-settles-sex-abuse-suit-with-prince-andrew/

Both have that, I just had sex look on their faces and were both obviously high with their glassy eyes and smirks.
Come on joun, face the music here.

European gas shortages that a Shell chief executive predicted will last several winters due to the cuts in Russian supplies, as well as high energy costs, have left those on the continent concerned and, in some cases, furious.

Meanwhile disgraced Andrew is banned from another Royal Ritual.

yahoo.com/lifestyle/disgraced-prince-andrew-banned-another-121821169.html

Earlier in the procession, Andrew was heckled by someone in the crowd.
The man shouted "Andrew, you're a sick old man," as he walked by.
The man was later arrested.
FOR WHAT ! yelling the truth ?
The man should have been hailed !

Impossible. One winter at most. You don`t realise the power of capitalism - when there is demand, there`s supply from multiple sources.

I really don't understand where you get your rubbish information from....probably dubious extreme right or left wing websites that want to stir it up.

To put you straight, the UK will have no problems at all, and neither will most of Scandinavia.
Germany will suffer greatly, due to their over reliance on Russia.

Impossible. One winter at most.

You are a school teacher and I am an investeor.
Next winters gas shortage will be even worse than this winter for Europe because their reserves will be depleted over the summer months so none will be able to be stored like there was this last summer.

It will be anywhere from 3 to 5 years at the soonest to get back to normal if Europe gets lucky.
Then there will be many that just won't be able to afford it.
The only way I can see a cure for Europe is by cutting their demand.

Germany made its bed and will have to lie in it.

Trump tried to tell her, but greedy women just don't know how to listen.

because their reserves will be depleted over the summer months

What makes you think those reserves will be depleted????? You are wrong, of course. Nothing wil be depleted - gas will be used and supplied at the same time. Simple. Like driving a car - you fill up and drive and then fill up again and so on.

You are a school teacher

Yes, and I am educating you all the time. Don`t thank me, it is my vocation.

Juan Carlos's wife is Sofia from Greece though apparently there's a Danish connection there too.... it all seems.... very tangled.

Basically the Danish thing goes back to when Princess Alexandra whose father was King of Denmark married Queen Victoria's son who would later be King Edward VII. Greece was looking for a king and the Brits were instrumental in getting Alexandra's brother onto the throne. That's the Greek/Danish thing in a nutshell. Basically all princes/princesses of Greece are of Danish ancestry and are princes of both Denmark and Greece.

Nice Shakespearian reference there Paw, for us intellectuals of the forum ;-)

thanks for the clarification!

My pleasure :) Alexandra's sister Dagmar (later Maria Feodorovna) was the mother of Nicholas II of Russia. After the revolution she went back to Denmark.

What makes you think those reserves will be depleted????? You are wrong, of course.

As it stands now, the reserves will be depleted of course.
Of course time will tell what happens between now and then.
You could be just as wrong of course.

I am educating you all the time. Don`t thank me, it is my vocation.

The only thing you educate me on is how immature an intellectual Polish school teacher can be and still keep his job. Simply Amazing of course.
