A valid objection....they seem to be at least interested in the competition and won their last practice game against Northern Ireland!

Perhaps England should put George Best up.

He's not on his best form nowadays but at least doesn't look as waxy as Ronaldo who could pass for Lenin if he grew a pointy beard and lay down.

I'm very out of soccer (I only ever watch Euro, Olympic or World Cup games) who is supposed to have a chance to do well this time?

fr

Italian football expert analyst Fabrizio Romano named the top 10 teams he thinks that can win.

euro

The bookies & pundits are not giving Poland much of a chance in their predictions for making it out of their group and now their big gun Lewandowski got injured in a friendly match to make matters worse & even more depressing.

now their big gun Lewandowski got injured

Nothing serious. I'm worried about Świderski's injury though - looked more serious.

much of a chance in their predictions

there is little hope in Poland that we can leave the initial group - I think we will even have hard time beating Austria (the remaining two teams are France and The Netherlands so you probably understand why) - I have watched some Poland games recently and it hasn't looked good

Am I the only one here who's keeping the faith? Come on - we can get draws against the Netherlands and Austria, and in the final game France will rest their first time before the group stage which will allow us to beat their reserves and qualify from the 2nd spot. Keep the faith!!!

Biało-czerwone, to barwy niezwyciężone!

For Poland to do well in the tournament their superstar players have to turn up. Their big guns have to go off.

Arkadiusz Milik is already out.

Arkadiusz Milik is already out.

4th striker, after Lewandowski, Świderski and Piątek. Not much of a loss.

Frankowski, Zalewski, Szczęsny and Zieliński look in top form (Szymański and Urbański can impress too). If Lewandowski turns up, we can surprise some people. :)

There's two of us. The mother-in-law is here for a visit and we watched the game. I said to her, in very broken Polish, Poland's gonna do alright.

So 3 out of 4 Poland strikers are now injured. Poland should consider reactivating Krzysztof Warzycha & Dariusz Dziekanowski 😍

Classic Celtic Matches | Celtic 5-4 Partizan Belgrade | Dziekanowski scores FOUR! (27/09/1989)

This Polish legend was like a man on a mission against my favourite club Partizan Belgrade, thankfully we won the first match in Belgrade 2-1 and went through on the away goals rule.

Check out the highlights of this match Novi it ended 5-4 and read the comments about the electric atmosphere in the stands and lets see if you still think that football is boring.

Poland's gonna do alright.

That's the spirit, Anti! :)

So 3 out of 4 Poland strikers are now injured.

Weak maths, Crno. Lewandowski is not injured, and currently we have 4 strikers in our Euro squad: Lewandowski, Buksa, Świderski and Piątek. So, that's 1 out of 4. Of course, also Urbański can play as forward, so we're OK. Besides, our midfield (Zieliński, Zalewski, Frankowski, Szymański, Moder) can score goals as well. Go Poland! :)

who is supposed to have a chance to do well this time?

As the betting odds suggest, the bookmakers expect England to win. France however is a risk.

the bookmakers expect England to win

The bookmakers want to make money, and they have been making a lot of money on people who bet on England winning anything since 1966. ;)

The bookmakers want to make money

Which is why their odds are such a good indicator of what they think the risk is.

been making a lot of money on people who bet on England

As far as betting is concerned, a typical housewife or old granny in Wigan or Cumbernauld knows 100 times more than the most experienced Polish gambler. Hence the sophistication of the odds.

With midfielders like Zalewski we don't have to worry about the absence of Milik...

... Poland beat Ukraine 3-1 and Turkey 2-1 in their two friendlies before Euro.

Latest news: Świderski (the scorer of the first goal against Turkey) is OK, Lewandowski will be rested against the Netherlands and come back against Austria. No other injuries.

That's the spirit,

Biało-Czerwone!

Last summer, my brother-in-law was saying the guy from Częstochowa, Papszun, was probably going to be next manager of the NT. What happened with that?

Bellingham's the first member of the winning squad to arrive. Plenty of time to warm up...

Looks like a nice hotel

It was a feast of technical quality and competitive as well; especially the headers and volleys drill and the small-sided games

Has the guy who'll lose the whole thing due to a botched penalty kick arrived yet? Or has he yet to be named?
