And see the weird stuff that comes out of the minority (that can write in English of sorts) that support the PiS cult.

Gota be one of the times I agree with you Jon, Poland has bigger things to deal with than Jews homosexuals or transvestites, probably a group of people who have never harmed murdered ,interned or exiled any pole en mass. Democracy is all about protecting the innocent minority, but should have an iron fist towards those who wish to cause hatred and harm.

Polish Jews actually have a history of imprisoning, torturing, murdering and sending patriotic Poles to gulags - I don't mean all Jews of course - not all Jews were influential in the origins of the PRL and a lot were completely innocent

I am terribly sorry if I am to be understood as saying a word that would pander to prejudice against anyone because of their presumed sex, ethnicity, behaviour or whatever. But above all, sorry for my unbearably bad English.

do you believe people should be punished for their views? if so there are millions of Poles who hate and spread hate of their political opponents -and what do you mean by harm? does it include 'vanishing' public money?

gumishu "Polish Jews actually have a history of imprisoning, torturing, murdering and sending patriotic Poles to gulags",

Both my parents grandparents and other family members were in Soviet gulags, NON of them blamed Jews, so get stuffed grow up and stop reading Nazi website bullsh$t. (Sorry mods kids of today get some twisted sense of reality from the virtual world they live in, they should get out there and talk to the people that WERE THERE at the time).

gumishu " Poles who hate and spread hate of their political opponents ", get stuffed again , Poles do not automatically hate people because of their political beliefs, gumishu maybe this happens in the country you come from , but it certainly is not Poland

I'm Polish and I see this hate every time I read comments under politics news in wp.pl interia.pl or onet.pl - and now it also spills into the streets (some of the banners carried on KOD manifestations are outwardly hateful from what I have read)

They'd be a damn sight more hateful if this were the UK. I think (that sadly) the KOD demonstrations are way too weak and ineffective and the anger is not out there.

Could you perhaps show us an example?

The banners are mocking, yes - but not hateful. KOD have been very clear that they will not tolerate hateful banners on the street.

"Beata, trzeba ci bata!", "Szydło do wora!", "Kaczka na taczkę!", "Nieważne są wasze miesiączki, ważne są nasze bolączki", "Kaczorek do Tworek!".

"Beata, trzeba ci bata!"....

Much worse in Britain. Surely Poles have humour? If you are there, you have to develop a thick skin.

Or would you censor such jesting?

not to mention the placards with a shotgun aiming at a duck

The KODists have become a small radical group similar (just smaller and more "sectarian") to "mohers" they supposedly hate so much, basically a cartoon of what they initially claimed to be. Internally (in Poland) they mean nothing but the damage has been done and all our opponents and enemies will use this mess to work against our national interests, be it on CO2, Russia, NATO bases or anything else. Well done punks.

If they meant nothing, why has the PiS-controlled media spun so much hatred about them?

but the damage has been done and all our opponents and enemies will use this mess to work against our national interests, be it on CO2, Russia, NATO bases or anything else.

Oh yes, the damage most certainly has been done to this government, and it will keep on getting damaged.

Just in case, so the disease doesn't spread. They are not stupid like PO who lost both elections because the were over confident and did nothing about it.

Finally, a PiS voter that admits that KOD represent a threat. ;)

They are not stupid like PO who lost both elections because the were over confident and did nothing about it.

A lot of PO supporters still haven't forgiven Komorowski for that utterly rubbish campaign. I was looking at the results a few days ago, and you can really see how Duda's strategy of visiting everywhere he could paid off - Komorowski just turned up in PO heartlands and nothing more.

It's the same reason why KOD will never flourish if we don't start getting different towns involved. Putting thousands on the street of Gdańsk/Wrocław/etc looks good on TV, but it's not enough.

I'm not a PiS voter and everything can develop into thread even KOD that at the moment is just a laughing stock and we just need to make sure to keep it that way.

Rubbish candidate has a rubbish campaign, simple, I wonder how many PO voters think otherwise.

It's the same reason why KOD will never flourish if we don't start getting different towns involved.

KOD will only get smaller and smaller, people have access to the internet media these days so they know what is really going on, leave alone mainstream media that are not PO any more so who they are supposed to be manipulated by? Gazeta wyborcza? :-)

Laughing stock? The last demonstrations were reported pretty much worldwide, and we've seen that the European media is lapping it up.

Rubbish candidate has a rubbish campaign, simple, I wonder how many PO voters think otherwise.

The problem with Komorowski was that he tried to go it alone. Most PO voters were equally bewildered as to why he did it - you could really see that his campaign had no energy. I remember being absolutely confused that he was spending so much time in places where he won by huge margins anyway. I'm on friendly terms with one PO leader in a small town in Wielkopolska, and he told me that he couldn't understand why Komorowski turned up there when PO were massively popular in the town and PiS were actually behind the PSL in terms of votes.

Why are you making the same mistake that KOD = PO? It's pretty clear that PO aren't behind it to me.

Because European media is mostly left-wing.

I remember being absolutely confused that he was spending so much time in places where he won by huge margins anyway.

You'd probably understand if you saw how loudly people were whistling and booing at him so he could hardly hear himself in the cities were he wasn't wining.

It's pretty clear that PO is partially behind it.

Basically those are people who are unhappy about PiS winning elections and at the same time have problem to admit it.

You mean how PiS sent a bunch of people to boo and whistle at the Warsaw Uprising commemorations every year, upsetting the participants of the Uprising?

What was that all about?

I remember some of their fan base picketing Bronislaw Geremek's funeral with vile slogans on placards.

vile slogans

There was no dearth of vile slogans amongst the KOD creeps including a placard of a shotgun aimed at a drake (Kaczor)! The Michnikites may chuckle but let's not forget that years of the PO hate industry's toxic rants inspired some loon to shoot dead a PiS staff member in Łódź. He told police he was gunning for Kaczyński.

placard

Nothing vile about that; and very different from picketing a funeral and screaming at the grieving mourners - that's true Westboro Baptist Church stuff.

years of the PO hate industry's toxic rants

That insinuation - like so many you have made here in this thread - is a lie, plain and simple.

No, PiS didn't have to send anyone, Komorowski was commonly hated and there was no need for that.

No need to hold a memorial ceremony for the Warsaw Uprising?

No need to hold a memorial

No, no need to attend a ceremony sponsored by the hated Komorowski & Co.
