@BB Does this article really says what I think it does...

...60-70% of the entire German population will be infected by Covid-19, according to Angela Merkel and the Minster of Health?

*shocked*

looking at the current stats its inevitable that most people will get it . I'm afraid the west is too weak to be able to handle the problem the way that the Chinese have.

More like the Spanish Flu of 1918 than anything experienced in most people's lifetimes.

@BB Does this article really says what I think it does...

Sadly it does!

Remember a former post of mine?

"Another example.....it could very well be that at least 50% of the german population will become infected, that are more than 40 million people...that could very well mean about 800.000 dead people!"

That's where I got the number from...(not from this article but from the calculations by a german virologist already fairly early on. It seems alot of people are resigned to this possibility by now.)

I don't know how you found this review.

I'm on the LRB mailing list. Did the link work? I deleted it because I'd reached the max no of free articles and got a holding page instead.

If anyone's interested, it's the main article on lrb.co.uk

The largest university in Poznań has just cancelled classes until March 24.

I'm sure it will inconvenience a lot of people but it's good that they're taking it seriously before they have to take it seriously...

I know most of you are blind to the Bible but for those who are not........this just prophecy being fulfilled.
In the last days famine, floods, fires and decease like none other as it is written.
So few are paying attention.

Think you're confusing it with Nostradamus actually, and allegedly, the world is supposed to end by 2050:-)
Conservative estimates place it at a later date.

The largest university in Poznań has just cancelled

Here in Warsaw, some are limiting what they do (lectures Skyped etc) and others haven't yet made a decision.

Better to be safe than sorry.

All universities in Wrocław and Opole are closed indefinitely as well.

It would seem that Italy has suspended all mortgage payments.....interesting development and seems to be a good starting point in providing support to the tax payers who are most probably worried about paying their bills etc...if they are quarantined at home or indeed hospital...

Some new calculations from that said german virologist:

1.) The high point of this pandemia will be in summer (with the maximum cases during July/August)

2.) This virus won't let up much due higher temperatures (not like the Flu or SARS)

3.) He expects the infection of most of the healthy young people which will then become immune afterwards

4.) The main attention needs to be on the two main risk groups, the young but already sick people and the people >65. There the resources are needed to avoid any infection by those people.

focus.de/gesundheit/news/doch-nicht-saisonal-corona-epidemie-erreicht-hoehepunkt-im-sommer-danach-wird-ein-grossteil-immun-sein_id_11755187.html

Ach ja.....high risk people are people with such already existing health problems:

- cancer
- chronic lung disease (asthma, bronchitis, COPD)
- chronic heart disease
- chronic liver disease
- diabetes
- people who are fresh transplanted
- people who need cortisone

PS: VDL just promised 25 Billion Euros EU corona-crisis-funds

Coronavirus might just be the best thing to happen to the natives of Germanistan, United Kaliphate, Italy, etc. Maybe now finally they won't allow in hordes of turd world rapefugees. Their level of cuck though is pretty damn high so it might not be enough.

Give it up mate.... you sound like a broken record, just repeating the same old bo##ocks over and over again.....
This virus came from China......
You can't blame the Muslims for that....

realize that coronavirus is not that dangerous at all and will greatly reduce its exposure in the news i

Indeed. I think there is too much hysteria created by the MSM in the USA, not sure about Poland, but the lefties here are looking to blame Trump for any issue they can find. Unless, youre in the 2 high risk groups there should be nothing to worry about, so dont panic, eat healthy, drink lots of water, it combats a respiratory virus.

I wonder if the Bilderburg's and Bill Gates

It could be a devious plan by the Chinese or even.......DR Evil!!

MuHahahahahahahahahahahaa!!

send...kid unvaccinated into a crowd of vulnerable people, why not take a Bushmaster and do the job yourself...

You were doing so well, then you went all Drama Helmety. ..funny, though. :)

Some new calculations from that said german virologist:

Are his predictions the consensus of the professionals? Or is the doomsday version?

Think you're confusing it with Nostradamus

There you go thinking again.......
The Nostradamus's were originally jews the Lyzko so I can see why you are confused again.
We are living in the last days and the Catholic's of Poland are fully aware of that.
This virus is just one of many prophesies in the Bible that are being fulfilled.

Good question!

In autumn we will know....he more or less says that the virus will let up later only because most people got infected and immune by then.

@Bratwurst Boy

OK, so he's in the immunity camp.

The best virus-related article I've read so far:

Those efficient German types actually have a word for panic buying - hamsterkauf.

Ja genau, we Germans and our dear language again! :)

(And no, it's not about buying hamsters, they are tiny and mostly consisting only of lotsa small bones and fur....they are useless!)
AntV 5 | 551

:)

It wasn't about buying hamsters, but how hamsters hoard things in their cheeks.

She makes a good point in a humorous way: we need a little perspective and chill.

He (that virologist) is right though....even when most of us won't be affected much we need to take care of our vulnerable fellow men...meaning avoiding being part of the spreading. So cut the skin contacts and the air-droplet crowds for awhile...chillingly! :)
AntV 5 | 551

I agree. Let's chillfully do our part to manage this thing.

*I'm starting to get that uneasy feeling that the universe is misaligning, BB, we're agreeing way too much. :)

At least all schools, museums etc are closing here; a wise decision.

Where is "here"? The major university in my city (46,000 students) has canceled all in-person classes for the next month.

At least all schools, museums etc are closing here;

I know somebody studying at the Polish Japanese Academy of Technology in Warsaw and though they've cancelled lectures, students are being asked go into the labs as usual for practical work - the mind boggles. Can't see any logic in it.
