I found this article very interesting. bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-02/fewer-coronavirus-deaths-seen-in-countries-that-mandate-tb-vaccine

One would think due to this COVID resulting in an attack on the lungs and lung damage, that there could be some relative similarity in TB. Of course just my layman opinion, but really quite interesting.

This is a global pandemic, we have every right to discuss it, including its origins, whether or not it is a bioweapon released from a lab.

You on the other hand, despite living in Poland for decades, I have yet to see you write even two sentences in Polish language with the correct grammar, which says alot.

Exactly. There's plenty going on here, however he has no knowledge of PL, isn't from here, and doesn't live here.

Meanwhile, there's quite a lot of discussio actually in Poland about how the restrictions are being policed and what the next steps will be.

@communist manifesto salesman

@jon357

Stop pretending to be these "greater Poles" when you haven't even bothered to learn the language despite living there for years which speaks volumes for itself and your "cosmopolitan" personalities. Even a person with an IQ not higher than the room temperature would be fluent by now...

This is a forum where everyone who is interested in Poland is welcome. It is ridiculous that individuals of questionable non-Polish origins are trying to censor anything which interferes with their agenda.

Because of your constant nagging, I have made a decision to open another thread. ;)

Rubbish...

And off topic too, given the current situation here in Poland.

Here in Michigan we are taking quite a hit as a lot of people REFUSE to self quarantine and nothing is being done about it.

An interesting statistic in Michigan however.
14% of the population of Michigan is Black and live in the Detroit area.
Yet 40% of the deaths in Michigan have been Black people !
I also see that there is a new test coming out that takes one drop of your blood to be tested to see if you were infected with the virus and didn't even know it.

HA !
It was just reported, since I made the post above, that the Governor of Michigan has announced a crack down on the self quarantine which answered my question of why the Blacks were dying at a much much higher rate then the Whites were in Michigan.

Three weeks after the coronavirus came to Michigan, officials are increasingly frustrated by those who ignore social distancing rules and stepping up enforcement of violators.

Michigans Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is under pressure to close in store lottery sales because of fears of long lines.
In Flint, worries about late night crowds led to a citywide curfew.
And in Detroit, the city has dismantled basketball hoops and increased patrols around parks.
Sounding tired, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan acknowledged city officials had "significant debate ... about closing parks" but settled on increased patrols, plane flyovers and video surveillance to disperse crowds.

The same crowds/mob mentality that does the looting.
The city will begin issuing misdemeanor citations punishable by $1,000 fines and six months in jall, he said.
These people have no money to pay a fine and jail is their second home to most of them.
Now you know the rest of the story.

Yeah its been 20c in Dolnoland

-2C here tonight in Rebland with calling for snow on Thursday. (What a beautiful full moon)

The new test that is coming out will take one drop of your blood to see if you have contracted the virus this year.
If so, and you didn't know it, means you are immune to it now and can go back to work.
The U.K. and Germany are pushing for this hard to get their economy's going again.
Germany has been working on widely testing for immunity, so they can get certain people back to work sooner rather than later.
Some leaders in the UK are also pushing for "immunity passports," which would clear some essential workers to get back to their jobs by testing to see if they've been exposed to the virus.

So there is light at the end of the tunnel and the Reb can get a haircut !

One of the rare times i agree with Trump...he critisized the WHO as china centric, taking money from USA but be a lapdog of China. WHO completly failed, followed the chimese propaganda and did nothing to contain. Crush the WHO. Its like UNO...paid by USA, Germany and France but does only what the ********* want.
PolAmKrakow 1 | 434

@Weimarer

And Trump along with the rest of the worlds "leaders" knew this was coming in January yet did nothing about it. No checking temperatures before or after flights, no test preparation, no equipment preparation, no warnings to the public that this serious problem was coming.

A complete lack of leadership causing deaths now. The WHO isn't responsible for that. The Press isn't responsible, and its not fake news. Why doesn't anyone want to examine that failure?

Trump was trying to but the Dems were hounding him with Impeachment Hearings which took valuable time away from the Corona issue.
It was definitely the Dems fault for being stupid again.

That's funny. Trump was warned by his staff and did nothing. Congress did nothing. The whole US Government knew this was coming. Congressmen and Senators sold off stock weeks before it happened. Who gave them their briefings? The White House. Lets stop with the partisan name calling and finger pointing. Everyone dropped the ball on this because they didn't want to start a panic and hopped the experts warning them were wrong. Now people are dying. USA is just one example, all of Europe did the same thing.

The whole US Government knew this was coming. Congressmen and Senators sold off stock weeks before it happened.

Didn't they walk up to people and tell them: "people, sell off your stock because the coronavirus from China is so dangerous that it its effects may seriously affect the market"?

If they knew and sold, and the public didn't know, they are guilty of insder trading!

all of Europe did the same thing.

Poland did not or do you count Poland as non-Europe?

Trump played golf 6x and held 9 rallies (plus travel time)

It's not True that other countries were also unprepared. Some of them like a Germany use this time to clear ICU capacity and buy equipment.

But this thread is about to Poland. Seems like the rumor about judges being open is untrue. Also see growing tensions between the ordinary public and over zealous police and straz

From what I've been hearing from my little network here in Warsaw, it looks like universities here will remain closed for May and June. Wonder what will happen with schools and Matura??
PolAmKrakow 1 | 434

@Ziemowit

Poland knew this was coming as well. First case in USA was January 3rd. Trump closed travel from China. Great move but not enough. Every other country in Europe kept borders open. Poland acted more quickly after the first case was "discovered" here, also true. Every country knew this was coming though and no one set up precautionary measures. They all just reacted to the freight train when it ended up on top of their car.

I think Poland got very lucky with this, if this had happened when Easter tourism was high, it could have been a global disaster that Poland would have had a hand in. Imagine Easter markets loaded with tourists and this thing spreading everywhere, to vendors and their families when they went home. The quick reaction was really effective, but not as effective as prevention and cautionary measures could have been.

Yes. Those congressmen and senators who sold stock are under investigation. Sales came right after a WH briefing three weeks prior to everything hitting the fan.

Trump closed travel from China. Great move but not enough.

A completely useless move, because it was still possible for Chinese to enter the USA if they took a stop in a different country first.

Why would the schools not open again until September? It doesn't seem fair for nurses and police and factories to have to work but teachers sutill getting paid without teaching. We already lost a month last year because of the strike.

Can't they look at opening in August or having a longer school year next year?

I was told one week for sure by a friend who works in a Gov office. But two taking us to the end of the month wouldn't surprise me. Cancelling my flight to the States in May. Weather is nice though and making progress on my terrace planting.
