@delphiandomine

Who determines what necessary and what isnt? Going to see my aunt in Katowice from Krakow because she is older and alone? Is that necessary or no? Hypothetical question.

@pawian

I will be working on my flower pots. A grill sounds great though. Of course no one will gather in the country with their friends though ;-)

I've just seen that in Katowice, they've restricted testing - now you can't be tested without the explicit permission of the county-level sanitary inspector or an infectious diseases doctor. There's also very worrying data about the amount of health workers infected, which suggests severe problems with PPE.

Of course not. I am too frugal too invite whole family for free meals. Only closest members. hahaha

Thank you, PiS.

That had been predicted and it will be only worse.

In USA you cant be tested either without a referral from a Doctor. No mass line up for testing taking place there.

Troops in streets I mentioned several times

Yes Pawian they are taking over border guard duties, notice in the picture you can see the sign for the polish border, this means that the border police are free to help elsewhere.

Stop your scaremongering.

Did you hear that PIS next actions will be to shoot virus violators and lefties on sight.

Troops in streets

Photo number 3/13 is clearly fake news. Police in summer uniforms, family having a picnic also wearing summer clothes - dredged up from a photo archive somewhere and presented as Covid-19 'inspection' duties. I'm surprised at you for such trolling Pawian. Grow up, would you for God's sake. You're a parent and a teacher.

Well I'm glad you have said it too, this is a very serious thread that even I do not pollute.

Pawian behave on this thread it's not for petty politics or scaremongering, it is for us who live here to pass on useful and valid information so that we may help one another.

Good. Would be chaos when western Europe collapse. Maybe now even Pope himself come to live in Poland. If I`m him, I know I would.

Grow up, would you for God's sake. You're a parent and a teacher.

Why would he grow up? Much better to be eternal kid.

hahahaha Impossible! Too late! Love me as I am or leave me. How simple. hahahaha

Why would he grow up? Much better to be eternal kid.

Exactly! That`s my style. All who dislike it, you know where you can kiss me? Shall I show you again??? hahahaha

Please stick to the topic of the thread, there are other off topic threads for fooling around in.

But it`s not my fault that morons have a problem with photos and articles on official news sites. I won`t abuse them for stupidity, coz it`s not my style, I prefer to laugh it off. :)

Not always a great source.

Perhaps more will emerge about that story.

Definitely he is a clown, so no need to watch this video. But I sometimes watch what he has to say in order to have a good laugh.

When will everyone come to the conclusion that eventually ALL OF US will catch this virus sooner or later.
Most of us won't even know that we have been infected while some of us will get sick and a few of us will die.

All I know is that it sure has taken away even more of my freedoms.
And I think that is exactly what it's purpose was meant to do.

Give it a go my friend, but be I am waiting for a vaccine, two three years?, I can wait.

All I know is that it sure has taken away even more of my freedoms.

It's called "disaster capitalism" used by financial elites in the 2008-09 crisis to pushes thousands (tens of 1000s hundreds of 1000s?) into homelessness and bankruptcy.... they're going to use the quarantine to drive masses of small businesses into bankruptcy and gain even more control over the economy. And neither republicans or democrats will do anything to stop them.... the virus is real and it's important to not swamp the healthcare system but the US response has been too lax... and then suddenly too strict with measures that can't be maintained without cratering the economy... (just what wall street wants)

I think Europe will be in a little better shape...

Spot on, that is exactly what is happening.

I think Europe will be in a little better shape....

Don't fool yourself.
The World Recession has just started and it is going to get horrible before it is over.
Nothing like we have ever seen.
When it gets to a breaking point Trump will be putting people back to work regardless of the China virus situation.
Just watch and see.

There will certainly be a lot of economic change and difficult times ahead, whatever Dr. Ajugunla says...

There is a plus today; some of the articles about the lower Covid 19 stats in countries which have mandatory BCG vaccination are interesting. I'm glad I've had it.

@johnny reb

USA and Europe will be back to work May 1. Or at least starting then. The world knows that in another 4 weeks we will enter into a territory where some companies and countries can not come back from. Collateral deaths are just another part of doing business. No one knows that better than USA.

In Germany the infection rate now enters regression. The meassurements taken show they work. The RKI says we are in the best case scenario. But i doubt that a quick reversal into normal mode is possible. This must be done very careful amd step by step.

We're terribly sorry your loved ones died, but your grief is inconvenient to the state so we're going to have to ask you to get back in your wage cage.
cms neuf - | 1,589
4 Apr 2020 #1,227
What's your idea then ? Stay inside until there are zero cases ?

No wage cage means no tax and no hospitals

Food factories, oil refineries, agriculture etc need to get back to normal first
kondzior 10 | 1,021

Stay inside until there are zero cases

We have a ballpark estimate for cost of herd immunity. Serological study from Castiglione d'Adda shows 70% of population got it.

1.35% are dead.

Many more are still in hospital and some will die, further pushing up that number.

Yet others will have suffered permanent damage.

Does this sound like a viable strategy to you? It doesn't sound like a viable strategy to me.
PolAmKrakow 1 | 434

@kondzior

Yes. Unfortunately that will be the message that some people receive. Other people will hear that things are returning to normal, they can begin feeding their families and paying their bills again. I recall 9/11. A few days after, everyone had to get back to work. The world can not stop. If you think this virus is bad, imagine when famine sets in with some countries on top of the virus. Wait until people run out of savings, and more business close up shop permanently.

Just looked at a restaurant I was looking at buying over a month ago. Price reduced on the 2nd by 30%, another one the lease reduced from 9500 a month to 5000 a month yesterday. This is just the obvious signs of the financial stress to come world wide.

Yes. Sorry you lost friends and family. But if you dont get your a$$ back to work we are all going to experience losses that cant even be counted.

Kondzior I understand the risks but I'm asking for your strategy. Stay inside for another year? Another six months? It's easy to criticize but more difficult to make decisions
