Coronavirus in Poland

Worry should be that people aren't following the simple social distancing, and cleanliness rules. If they are getting together in groups, of course its going to continue to spread. Staying inside and away from groups for a few weeks isn't that difficult unless you are an ignorant fool. Spring breakers in Florida are a great example. The USA saw its first confirmed case in January, and all they did was cut off China. A lot more could have been done the last three months. Poland saw its first case March 3, and the gates were closed soon after, rules became tighter, and people for the most part are following them. A lot of fear spreading through big cities and rightfully so because social distancing is more difficult, compounding the problem are people who simply refuse to follow simple guidelines, placing other people at risk.

lack-of-testing-raises-fears-of-coronavirus-surge-in-eastern-europe

Those are lefties who listen to total a-holes from Poland. Those a-holes are lying as usual, aiming at the gov. What a looser. What testing is being done elsewhere in Europe beside Germany? Negligible.

lefties ... total a-holes

Christian Davies? You've surpassed yourself in stupidity and venality this time.

What testing is being done elsewhere in Europe

More than here...

Well, let me quote your words back to you -

You've surpassed yourself in stupidity.....

Christian Davies?

Yep, he writes for Guardian, he calls PiS right wing populist party and he is spewing leftie BS. That makes him an a-hole to the T! Do you have problem with my opinion about him? Tough.

PiS right wing populist party

They are!

spewing leftie BS. That makes him an a-hole

According to you.

Do you have problem with my opinion about him

It's worthless, splenetic, second-hand, and from afar.

people for the most part are following them

Not enough, though. The Minister of Culture has already said that they're planning to introduce new rules, partially because parks and especially shops like Castorama and Leroy Merlin are crowded. I wanted to buy some silicon sealant yesterday, and the car park in my local building supplies shop was full.

There are also issues in smaller villages/towns where shops often have a space outside for local drinkers to congregate - they're simply not obeying the rules. On the good side, I've seen a group of people today get told firmly and decisively that they were go home now or else.

Well it might have been full of other people buying silicon sealant.

Tightening it will not work - if the numbers are as low as the govt says then most people are not going to see the point and the govt does not have the means to enforce it. I could handle another 3-4 weeks of this but afterwards we need to get moving or there won't be an economy left.

People who are addicted to alcohol will gather and drink it.

@delphiandomine

If its not enough, then I am ok with stupid people getting sick. If you cant be responsible for your own life, then you dont deserve it. They can introduce more measures and nothing will change except a few more store closures and people losing jobs.

Its bad. Its very bad in some places. Like CMS said though, things will get going in a few more weeks. Governments wont allow economies to collapse. A few million lives is nothing when billions more depend on having a life and income. $hitty yes, but this is survival at all costs. The real question to be answered by governments around the world is who will do all the work when the poor and stupid are dead or ill?

China should pay. Anyone buying things made in China moving forward should be ashamed.

Exactly. I see those winos every day in front of our local shop: They say they drink that sulphuric poison to kill the virus.

Pretty hard not to,,,

Why ?

I import stuff from China and I will continue to do so - gives my customers a cheap and reliable option and if I don't do it then my competitors certainly will. I'm not sure any of the people I import from has anything to do with the Coronavirus.

@cmc neuf:I agree with you.I have a friend who imports furniture and is doing great and his family is living of it.Then again business is business with no emotions. What does Chinese products or normal Chinese people have to do with it.

Then again business is business with no emotions.

That coming from a country that was a victim of two one-party totalitarian systems with gulags, forced labor, and swift executions for those who didn't get the memo. Bravo.

Evrything. Chinese have a pathetic and disgusting culture. Its not communism or anything. Its their pathetic wet markets and their disgusting "chinese traditional medicine".

They produce deadly virus after deadly virus. SARS, MERS now COVID-19.

Evry single Virus with pandemic potential except Ebola was bred and created because chinese culture.

They must be forced to change or destroyed. Its that easy.

Chinese have a pathetic and disgusting culture.

No they are the exact opposite they have a very rich culture and a great sense of mutual respect, only problem is they eat anything with a pulse, I have lived with them , good people strange diet due mainly to a history of poverty , no different to other tribes that still enjoy bush meat.

Be careful what you say it wasn't too many years ago that people like you said the same about the Jewish people.

Idiot

disgusting culture.

Is that our problem?

They must be forced to change or destroyed. Its that easy

That is why we elect our governments.
What has everything to do business with them when it is totally legal? and of course make money.

@Cargo pants

Yes, this is OUR problem

ww

Some people would kill their own mother for some cents i assume.

I guess you would order cheap plastic tubes from china that the nurse can slam down your moms throat to suck out the secret she is drowning from, while she is infected from a Virus created on disgusting chiense markets

@dolnoslask

No, their culture is dsgusting. They are hated worldwide and there are threev demands.

1. end their disgusting wildlife trade
2. crush down their wet markets
3 bannish traditional chinese medicine

Eitehr that or get destroyed.

They produce deadly virus after deadly virus. SARS, MERS now COVID-19.

And they will continue it forever - just as Christians will forever believe that it's possible to turn water into wine.
It takes only one Chinese filthy pig - patient 0 - to start another cycle that will spread all over again and again...costing us trillions.

@dolnoslask

You are free to make another sugesstion.

Its from biggest importance to take all business out of China and block their business here.

Im glad goverments finally act. Many german corporations move production out of China, so does USA. China must be economicly crippled until it gets a normal culture.

China must be hold accountable for their crimes. This Virus is their doing. Morons support that.

Some feel the same about the Germs because of morons like you who give your country a black eye.
The latest from America:
WASHINGTON/CHICAGO, March 29 (Reuters) - U.S. deaths from coronavirus could reach 200,000 with millions of cases, the government's top infectious diseases expert warned on Sunday.

I can see this going on until we find a vaccine which looks like about two years out.
There goes any hope of me ever visiting Poland in my life time.

Don't feel bad. Instead, just imagine being stuck there without insurance and a very low priority on the list for the next ventilator with two dozen natives in front of you. This vision makes me wake up in cold sweat.

BTW, if you ever think our bureaucracy is bad, try the Polish mutant.

The USA saw its first confirmed case in January,

Yet They knew about it way back in November while the cruise ships were dumping off thousands infected travelers in port after port in Italy and Spain.

The airports were even worse with passengers packed into planes going all over the world when They were very well aware of this potential nightmare.

They (our own governments) are just as responsible for all these deaths as the Chinese are.
"IF" our Governments would have banned travel and started testing back in December before this got out of control there wouldn't be a pandemic now.

Greed !
Those famous words, "Hi, we are from the government and we are here to help."

This is true, if you are an old git and sick with virus , then of course , younger illegal migrants , Mexicans or Russians, black people, Poles will be ahead of YOU when it comes to critical medical care. bye bye.

In Spain the govt took over private hospitals

In Poland the private hospitals are not open and you are in the same boat as the regular Zus guys

Same thing could easily happen in Illinois

Private healthcare will be changed forever by this crisis - some things better and some things worse

A striking difference between the UK and Germany - three times higher number of deaths against four times lower number of infected

It makes sense.
