Coronavirus in Poland

Some good news. The booster vaccine lowers the Omicron Variant's hospitalisation risk by 90%.

No reason not to get for that small number of people (tiny here) who haven't had it yet.

Not yet, he's appealed an there's supposed to be a decision Monday

They've said he's free to leave at any time. He should just get the jab and get on with life however he's apparently a new age fruitcake. In which case you'd thing Australia would suit him given their prevalence there. At least they're strict on customs control, something he should have known.

I doubt it...

Alex Berenson has consistently outperformed public health officials and governments in reporting what's actually happening (as opposed to what some wish were happening).

Alex Berenson

Who? The announcement about the efficacy of the booster came from the Health Secretary in parliament today based on up to date figures.

short story: if anything vaccinations and boosters make a person more likel

No they don't. If anything, they reduce its severity. Where I am now, 40% of those in hospital with Covid are unvaxxed, despite less than 10% of the population as a whole being covidiots.

Who?

Alex Berenson, he's consistently outperformed government figures and "public health" spokespeople in figuring out what's going on. He works entirely on the basis of official figures and was banned from twitter for repeating what government figures said.

The following figure (from Icelandic government figures) shows the increase of omicron there _proportionately_ (not in absolute numbers).

nb dark blue are vaccinated and black is 'boostered'

But, by all means, continue to listen to governments spokespeople if you're so inclined...

figuring out what's going on

I suspect a degree of subjectivity in his 'figuring out'.

The situation here is that the booster reduces the chance of hospitalisation by 90%. There's no reason at all not to have it and every reason to keep up with the shots.

The risk of needing emergency care or being admitted to a hospital with with Omicron is about half of that for Delta.
Even if you have had all three of your vaccinations guarantee nothing.
I choose to skip the experimental booster too.

Omicron has been around for less than 3 months... how could they possibly know?

I'm still surprised at how fast the narrative jumped from 'dont' mix and match vaccines' to 'you must mix and match'....

I'm not planning on any booster because they only one I'd (maybe) accept isn't being offered.

When is the fifth one coming out ? Baaa Baaaaa

It would seem from the range of media reporting that Covid is here to stay for a while yet, and therefore this is something we need to accept and adjust to....it may well be that a 4th or 5th booster is required so it would seem to be wise to accept this possibility....of course people can ignore advice and take their chances. One of the difficulties companies face is to produce sufficient doses of vaccine for additional boosters, but we will see. Vaccination has had a poor uptake in Poland and unvaccinated people are suffering and dying in hospitals....vaccination does reduce the possibillity of hospitalisation but for some people they are more than happy to take lots of unprescribed tablets and lotions as advertised on TV but not the Covid vaccine.....?

Whlst Omricon is considered to be mild there is still the side effects of long Covid and the long term health issues associated with this...heart, kidney issues and breathing difficulties etc. Little data is available it seems on long Covid but this is likely to be of real concern as the months and years go by. . In any event as has been seen in the UK Omricon has rapidly infected many thousands of people and continues to do so.

I am not convinced that Poland fully understands how serious Omricon will be when it takes hold. Nurses and doctors will go sick in large numbers (as in the UK) leading to a crisis. In the UK it has been necessary to utilise army medical teams for London hospitals due to the levels of sickness amongst nurses and doctors.....I am fearful of the consequences in Poland when an already inefficient healthcare system is put under extreme strain from Omricon. I get the feeling that sick people requiring hospitalisation will just be told to stay at home and hope for the best.

I get the feeling that sick people requiring hospitalisation will just be told to stay at home and hope for the best.

That is what happened to me two years ago when I got covid and it just happened again last month to my buddy when the hospital refused to take him UNTIL he was referred by a Dr. which takes days.

Then when he did get "permission" by a Dr. to go to the hospital they told him to go home and ride it out where he almost died.

Remember back at the get go of this thread when I posted that that we are all going to get it sooner or later and it will come down to every man for himself ?

Well, it looks like I was right.
It's a bunch of b.s.
In New York for example, 42% of the people that went to the hospital for other reason than covid, had no symptoms of covid, but test positive for covid, were counted as covid patients. lol

Well of course because the hospitals get $1500 a day extra for each covid patient's beds.
What a legal scam...
And with the $ billions and billions $ the governments are shuffling to the pharmaceuticals like Pfizer, test kits, advertising, fraud, etc., how many new hospitals have been built and how many people have been trained for new staff to actually care for covid patients ?

Some people are getting very very rich at OUR expense.

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

13.4 % positive results out of 81,200 tests (percentage back down a bit)

hospitalizations -143 to 18,286

ICU: -33 to 1825

deaths: 292 (215 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): -74 to 339

I think this covid thing has just about run its course.
Once the drama is over, do you think we will ever get the freedoms we lost because of covid back ?
cms neuf - | 1,691
8 Jan 2022 #9,645
No - the freedoms we gave up without a fight will not he given back without a fight.

Travel in particular will be made much more difficult - i expect some kind of health certificate to be a permanent feature and other tracking features wilo be added to that app. It will be de facto required to have your smartphone switched on.

The idea of your health being confidential will also be a thing of the past.

One weird thing at the moment - why are the deaths in Poland so high ? Last year I knew a few people who died of it, neighbors etc but this time round it seems 300 a day which is extreme compared to the rest of Europe.

Current hospitalisations? Real-time information about who has and hasn't had the booster? Straightforward really.

how fast the narrative jumped from 'dont' mix and match vaccines' to

As you implied, it's new and ongoing; as things develop, we know more.

. In the UK it has been necessary to utilise army medical teams for London hospitals due to the levels of sickness

When I got my booster during the holiday season, there was one soldier at the vaccination centre, looking a bit lost. He was just there to help manage the queue and get people moved through quickly.

And to think the conspiracy theorists who were warning this would be used for more government control were laughed at only a year ago:

Mother Separated from Children After Trying to Flee Country to Stop Vaccination: breitbart.com/europe/2022/01/08/mother-separated-from-children-after-trying-to-flee-country-to-stop-vaccination/
"A Spanish court has ruled that a mother who attempted to flee to Portugal to prevent her two children from being vaccinated cannot have any contact with them or approach them."

Greece's education ministry threatened to "deprive" parents of "custody" over their children on Thursday if they refuse to comply with masking and testing mandates enforced on primary and secondary school pupils t.co/Cd8In6JmEV

Pretty much the story of the last two years...

ministry threatened to "deprive" parents of "custody" over their children

Spanish court has ruled that a mother ....cannot have any contact with them or approach them

Despicable, especially since the illness covid is of almost no danger to children while covid policies in school do massive psychological and educational damage to children.

People who want masks on small children are monsters. Period.

the Spanish authorities have acted in the best interest of the kids

by injecting them with insufficiently tested therapeutics for an illness that is almost certainly no risk to them.... got it.

Interesting question (not mine orginally but worth asking):

Lots of people have been warned or blocked or suspended from twitter for doing things like repeating official figures or paraphrasing government or public health figures.

Has anyone ever been warned or flagged for alarmism or inaccurate scare numbers?

Eric Feigl-Eing (aka Fingle Dingle) has been tweeting doomsday forecasts that have not come true for about two years now with nary a warning as far as I know....

All kinds of inaccurate numbers are reported (or distorted) but the accounts seem perfectly safe....

Is this a clue?

Has anyone ever been warned or flagged for alarmism or inaccurate scare numbers?

No, because they are protected by the covid industry and their rule of always "erring on the side of safety". They call it "overabundance of caution".

That it can cause depression and drive some to suicide is not on their list of concerns because they know the real numbers.

The covid program was designed to depopulate the world starting with the old people first, then those with under lying health issues..

Last year (2021) died in Poland about 100000 more people than normal.

Since covid, in the last two years, 40% of the working class between 18-65 have died in the United States.

Vaccine pass better than a mandatory order, says French govt spokesman
reuters.com/world/europe/mandatory-order-not-way-encourage-covid-19-vaccinations-france-says-govt-2022-01-09/

It's hard to believe, but sometimes you almost think they really don't get it. As if this is a problem of "doubt" or "hesitancy". Or even "access", LOL. As if people still sit there, after more than half a year since vaccines became available for all age groups, thinking: "Oh man I'm still not sure, should I get it or not??? Hmm, maybe if I only had to walk 10 minutes instead of drive..."

There is this thing called the Vaccination Doubt Hotline that you can call with questions and they give you the "facts". But in fact 2/3 of the calls they get are double-vaccinated people asking about the sense of boosters. There's your doubt and hesitancy.

Actually mandatory vaccination would be an extremely efficient way if their goal was really just to reach a >98% vaccine uptake. It would be ethically and morally bankrupt, but if vaccinating everyone was your real goal, and nothing else, then the most efficient way to do it would be to stop pussyfooting around and just make it mandatory. If you really believed that it was a virus so deadly that even the healthy, even those who have already had the virus, should still get vaccinated, then that's an ethical shortcut that you could easily take. What's a person going to do if there is a fine of, say, €3,000 for "walking/driving while unvaccinated"?

The fact is they're not doing this in most countries, and even in Austria and Germany, they are already backpedalling it. They are so full of sh*it. Still terrified of legal liability, moral responsibility, and having to send the police to enforce this in the Muslim and black outer cities. And then again for the boosters.

JR your 40% would be over 100 million people. Simply didn't happen.

Thank you for correcting me, PolAm, I misspoke.
What I meant to say is "since the start of covid two years ago, deaths are up 40%" with people between the ages of 18-64.

z3news.com/w/crisis-in-america-deaths-up-40-among-those-aged-18-64-based-on-life-insurance-claims-for-2021-after-covid-19-vaccine-roll-outs/

Covid itself, suicides, drug overdoses, alcohol related, civil unrest, etc., making my conspiracist point, the covid program was designed to depopulate the world, starting with the old people first, then those with under lying health issues. ;-)

New coronavirus variant 'Deltacron' emerges in Cyprus

Slowly it gets funny....that sounds like that sweet liquor from earlier times?

....In total, 10 of the mutations from Omicron were found in the 25 samples taken in Cyprus. Eleven of the samples came from people who were hospitalized due to the virus.

indiatvnews.com/news/world/deltacron-covid19-variant-coronavirus-cyprus-2022-01-09-753526

Would that need the fifth vaccination? Or was that already the sixth booster? I stopped counting....
Novichok 2 | 5,633
9 Jan 2022 #9,660
They are so full of sh*it.

Words of wisdom. They could make it mandatory by denying covid treatment to the unvaccinated. Nothing simpler...deadline or get lost.
But they don't. Why?

that sounds like that sweet liquor from earlier times?

Or Arnold's archenemy.
