Coronavirus in Poland

World leaders all knew this was coming months ago. They did nothing. US Congress members took advantage by selling off stock and taking profits weeks ago when they were warned. Yet the public wasn't warned and protected. This could have been a lot less deadly situation had action been taken. Trump, while he did the right thing with the China travel ban, could have done a lot more. Calling everyone home from abroad only got more people infected.

Scary to think now that this lock down is likely going to last until June. The economic damage will make the depression look not as bad. 2008 will look like an economic speed bump. N

@PolAmKrakow

How can Trump help those Americans who obviously don't want to be helped?

Because this is how "democracies" work and are run by the vacillating, hand-wringing human noodles. We are reactive. If at all.
In a "democracy", "civil rights" are first and last. Only when facing sure death, "democracies" discover, reluctantly and too late, the benefits of dictatorship.
One article said that they couldn't test some guy because his privacy would be violated. No. I am not making this sh*it up.

In China, they wouldn't waste a damn second on this nonsense.

Quoted from memory. Thanks for the feedback :-)

That is why I made myself a mask

You surely trolling us, @pawian. Are you going to spend your life wearing that mask? Or just every annual flu seasons to come?

@johnny reb

Its not a vaccine, its a medical treatment. You dont even know the difference.

Pathetic

You are the one that has referred to it as a vaccine repeatedly as Germany being the only one to have this vaccine and not going to share it with the wotld.

The German government was reportedly offering its own financial incentives for the vaccine to stay in the country.

Seems Germany is the one that is pathetic,

...more specifically, these so-called "democracies".

This coronavirus pandemic showed the complete failure of "liberal democracies" such as Italy, France, Spain to deal with the crisis.

This is why a strong state with a robust central government is required and PiS ruled Poland has a better chance to stop the spreading of the virus by adopting drastic measures when they are needed such as sealing the borders, shutting down restaurants, coffee shops, bars, nightclubs, closing schools & universities, including taking away the individual freedom of Polish people in order to save lives.

Italian Virologist Says Concerns Over "Racism" Crippled Italy's Coronavirus Response

@boomer

For failing to deal with this threat seriously, Italy is faced now with apocalyptic scenes such as these:

m.9gag.com/gag/aXj1YX9?ref=9g.wsa.mw

It is said that out of 3 patients doctors are choosing 1 to save, (for example, one patient is 70 years old, another is 50, and a third is 30.)

They are now forced to urgently promote medical students and are facing a complete meltdown of their healthcare system.

I will be more glad when the Italian PC idiots who delayed the travel restrictions die fast and in large numbers.
Now we know for sure that the leftists can actually kill us.

A lot of them are dying because they are very heavy cigarette smokers in Italy, well a lot of Euros still smoke.
Rich Mazur 4 | 3,752

Good. They were told that smoking is bad for them and ignored the memo. FU.
Plus, Italians - even guys - love all that hugging and kissing. I hate it.

Stats from Italy for 21/03/2020 (yesterday):

+6557 infected

793 dead

Before the Covid-19 (9th of February) and 14th of March obituaries in an Italian newspaper:

Horrific scenes in Italy as military trucks are bringing out the dead and transporting them for cremation:

A much more relevant connection....

Note that the largest number is in Lombardy...

the more open borders are (de jure or de facto) the more pandemics are going to become a regular part of life....

458 deaths in US are not enough to scare people off. When the death toll reaches 458.000, they will learn how to act during the plague.
Spike31 3 | 1,637

Last year 35 000 people died in the US alone because of common flu. According to World Health Organization a common flu kills up to 650 000 each year.

Should we stop breathing the air from now on?* ;-)

*a hint: not breathing kills you faster than flu virus :-D

I feel blessing in disguise being stuck in Poland.Poland feels more safe then the USA.I also refused LOT offer to go back as I dont want to travel in a plane with 250 untested people for 8/9 hours.

@Cargo pants

Exactly what I thought when this was first getting coverage. Look at Netherlands and level of infections over 4200. Willing to bet many infections came from people passing through SCHIPOL. Calling people home was IMO the dumbest thing any government could have done.

Family in NYC describing nightmare scenario's. Sister and Brother in law both physicians, both saying things will become dire by the end of the week.

People use to laugh when they saw my first aid kit in a flat with thermometer,which has become very handy.Some friends told me they are selling for 400 pln and no apteka has them either.I didnt have any face to face physical human contact for last 11 days now.In NJ wife says there are no cars on the roads and stores are shut down,I think its a bit too late.One has to admit Polish Govt was smart and did take the right steps at right time.Just for that they have my vote.

30 zloty in Rossmann - freely available online and I would be amazed if there are Polish households with kids that don't already have a thermometer in place - my wife probably uses ours 50x in a normal winter

When Corona Virus is as established as flu, you can multiply 650.000 with 10.

Some people obviously still did Not hear the shot

Indeed. The film provided in post #804 by Vesko Vukovic is absolutely horrifying. Doctors in Italy clearly say the coronavirus can by no means be compared to any of the flu viruses that have existed until today and also to anything they have seen in their medical life so far.

Most people are dumbfucks. Flu has infection rate of 1 and mortality of 0.1%. COVID-19 has infection rate of 2.5 and mortality between 1 and 8%.
