Coronavirus in Poland

I have three. There should be an investigation into (1) why people in Western "democracies" have died at the rate 23 times higher, (2) are the Western governments criminally responsible for these deaths, and (3) are the Western governments liable for the economic losses they inflicted by imposing lockdowns.

Why don't just put the blame where all of it belongs....to China?

To near to your heart?

China has nothing to do with the criminality of the Western "democracies" in handling the virus. If you have any doubts, compare their GNPs in 2020.

It has everything to do with the current global problems...if there is a criminal country its China!

At least nobody in the West eats bats...

Read slowly this time.

Without Chinas criminal and dumb behaviour we wouldn't need any handling of that virus..

Blaming the victims, aren't you? Just think it had been Germans!
Novichok 1 | 2,545

I got it. According to a German poster here, China is responsible for every moronic act of every government moron in every country till the end of time.

You are brilliant. In the meantime, the Brits and the Germans are rioting against their own governments, not China, because these rioters didn't read your idiotic posts. Smart rioters.

Nah, this virus right now is bad enough. But who knows what else they will incubate next time they eat bats and tiger penis and dogs and pangolins and what not....

I wouldn't riot as a Chinese either....last time at the Tiananmen it ended badly...and I wouldn't want to end up in a re-education gulag!

Really interesting, you mock democratic countries for misshandling the CHINESE VIRUS but apologize for a communist dictatorship who caused that CHINESE VIRUS!

Crazy!

And now, for something actually related to Poland.... (on topic, what a concept!?)

percent of positive test results: 10.20 % (of 61,200 tests ... the new below 15% normal is maintained and maybe lowering to around 12%

hospital admissions: -1054 (big fall, now it's 11 days in a row with negative numbers...)

deaths: 423 (too many but 90 fewer than last Saturday)

from the previous day*: 7 day moving average of daily deaths: 399 (down 16 from yesterday)

*the source I use is a day behind and I'm too lazy to calculate on my own

It is quite odd that although quite rightly that those of a left learning or liberal persuasion are treating this as a global problem that requires a global solution, there is very little emphasis on how and why it became a global problem.

Don't get me wrong, I have quite liberal and left leaning views myself but I get the impression that many are trying to pretend that the problem started from March last year when it started to have an effect on individual countries and not November 2019 when the first cases emerged. Although in many cases the criticism of individual governments is arguably justified, the source and how the virus was able to spread globally can't be just accepted as just unfortunate.

I doubt we will ever know for sure how covid started or how involved the Chinese government were in this but certainly actions since have been questionable. Advising foreign governments to impose lockdown measures rather than imposing a ban on international flights as soon as it stated to get out of control in China and creating a vaccine that is apparently only 50% effective against the virus when even the Russians have one that is 95% with one is a rather half-hearted way of helping.

I think its important however that the actions of the government aren't confused with any broader racial accusations against Chinese people themselves which has become rather worrying.

Questionable? They were criminally incompetent or criminally deliberate.

On my island, that idiot Cuomo would be tried and executed for deliberately packing covid infected patients into nursing homes and causing thousands to die. My bet is that every Western "democracy" has its Cuomo and the "we have to do something" ignorants aided and abetted by the "scientists" like that creep Fauci.

My question still stands: what did the trillions, spent and lost, and lives ruined buy for the Western "democracies"? 2500 deaths rates in Europe and empty streets?
Tacitus 2 | 1,214

scientists" like that creep Fauci.

Fauci is one of the most distinguished living scientists and the USA paid dearly that the president ignored his advice. If you want to charge anyone for the lifes lost, start with the Trump adminastration.

You are not supposed to be helping your debate opponents.

With all that knowledge about their disgusting and unhealthy customs and previous "flues", what did Western "democracies" do about the Chinese menace?
Two things: sent their manufacturing to them because it's cheaper, and invited the hordes of Chinese students with bags of tuition money. Why? Because Western man is a greedy creep, ready to flood his own country with foreign imports and migrants for a quick buck.

Hong-Kong flu, H1N1 flu, swine flu, bird flu, chicken flu...who cares.
Covid flu? Oh, that's new and sooo shocking. It's a killer and BB knows it's from China but let's make sure we don't offend China and God forbid call the damn thing Chinese. British, Brazilian, South African ...no problem. Chinese, never.

Western men like you in action.

Fauci is one of the most distinguished living scientists

Your ignorance prevents me from responding on points.

No, not me! I'm a huge critic of all that moving and buying and chinese boot licking....it was an enormous shortsighted error....the West enslaved itself...and now we are starting to pay for all that!

We have to rectify this, but not with further brownnosing and apologizing and downtalking our own side...

I am glad we agree on this one. Here is a correction:

When this mess is over, each country should hold a Nuremberg-style trial and sentence all those who committed crimes against the business owners and the individuals in the name of a "pandemic" with a 99.9% survival rate. That should include the brainless cops writing tickets for not wearing masks that could not be justified by "science" as applicable to each situation. Blindly following orders was not a defence then and should not be an acceptable defence now.

I agree! Most PiS gangsters will do time, then.

Just as an FYI for those who may get the J&J vaccine. I got it yesterday. Roughly 24 hours of head aches, body aches, sweating and a light fever. After that though it quickly goes away.
Tacitus 2 | 1,214

I think it is a one-shot vaccine?
PolAmKrakow 1 | 777
1 May 2021 #6,292
@Tacitus
Correct. One shot and done. 24 hours later, almost feeling back to normal.

Really?
You would trust a Russian vaccine.?
How many of you on here would be happy to take the Russian vaccine.....me?
I'd rather take my chances without......
Bratwurst Boy 9 | 10,520
1 May 2021 #6,295
*nods*

Since I'm not in any prioritized group anyhow I have more time to observe and wait for more safer vaccinations...but a russian or a chinese one is out of question!
