Coronavirus in Poland

Wait until you hear about Bielefeld

Bielefeld [...] doesn't exist.

Haha... the famous "Bielefeldverschwörung". Yes, I've heard about it.

On a side note. There exists a theory in Poland that the name may come from the ancient Slavic language in which it was originally "Białe Pole". The last part of the name got translated into German, but the first part retained its transformed original Slavic term which meant white (weiß). A theory not without ground as the Slavic origin of the nearby name of the town of Soest seems to be well attested in the Arabic sources of the 10th century (read my post #458 in the thread linked below for the story).

https://polishforums.com/news/german-reconcilliation-seminar-82236/16/#msg1633340

So, Bielefeld may indeed be a non-existing city as its true name is Białe Pole ! :-)

Stick to the topic of the thread please

With the potential for many thousands of Polish due to return to Poland for Easter, and with the threat of contamination will there be sufficient resources to check everyone on their return and indeed will everyone honour the 14 day quarantine? It is also worrying that people will be free to use public transport to return home to be quarantined...not sure if bus drivers etc will be happy with this.

Let's hope that zdrowy chłopski rozum takes hold and they decide to stay put.... I can understand helping stranded travelers out but people that are living somewhere else should stay were they are for a while...

You mean the should walk from their points of entry to reach their destinations?

Best to seal the border to everyone right now, until it's safe to resume normal travel.

Ryan Air, quite popular with Poles, has cancelled all flights from the UK to Poland.

Ziemowit - You mean the should walk from their points of entry to reach their destinations

Well probably a little impractical, but if I worked for the government I would probably consider it prudent and worth the money to arrange for transport to be provided....coaches etc, given that the virus is rather contagious and that there is no known vaccine. Not sure how much it would cost to provide transport for this particular group of people but I don't think it would break the bank and may just stem the likelyhood of further contamination. Just think of the plus points the PIS could gain from doing this....

Maybe they are really onto something:

....Germany's CureVac, among the vaccine developers funded by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), said it could mass-produce a coronavirus immunisation from its existing facilities if its low-dose approach proves successful in trials...

"These minimal dosages that we have achieved put us in a position here in Tuebingen to produce up to 10 million doses per (production) campaign," said von der Muelbe of a potential coronavirus vaccine.

A campaign, or production cycle, typically lasts several weeks, a spokesman specified. More than one dose may be required to immunise a person but one campaign would still serve several million people, he added.

"We started with a multitude of (coronavirus vaccine) candidates and we're now selecting the two best out of them. Those will go into clinical trials," said von der Muelbe.

CureVac specialises in so-called messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules that instruct human cells to produce therapeutic proteins that trigger an immune response against cancer or infectious diseases.....

I don't want to get too excited....even if they already "have it" the testing just needs it's time!

So I can see that Germany wants to get financial benefits from this mass media hysteria. I'm not against it. Stupid people will drain their pockets to pay for this "cure" and will press their politicials to buy it in bulk. Poland should start producing its own medicine: idiotcetamol which battles any flu in 7 days and sell it to Germany ;-)

Germany doesn't even have a German forum apparently.

Whether it's Easter or not it's best to stay where you are these days.

But of course. Its residue of old order. Things are by western Europe organized the way not only Poland but entire Central and Eastern Europe strongly depend on masters from western Europe.

But it is about to change and western Europe will more and more have only its own citizen to experiment with. We don`t need masters anymore.

LOL You really are a horrible simpleton, aren't you?

You have no idea whatsoever in your tiny nazi brain about Polish scientific capabilities, and also you apparently missed the post #448 in which I informed about the breakthrough that Polish scientists made in coronavirus research.

The scientists are from Technical University of Wrocław -- the city that was called Breslau before your country got owned in the last war (as usual). Oh, and a propos the last war and Polish scientists--they broke your fancy Enigma code as well. That should serve as a lesson -- don't f**k with people who are smarter than you. :)

Yes, after all, Poles defeated Germans in WW2, with the little help of Russians and other Slavs.

Russians and other Slavs.

Exactly. Red Army rolled over the Germans like a steamroller :) I wonder if the nazis, according to their own theories of supremacy, after that considered Slavs as the true Master Race of victors. :D :D :D

We are all ALLIES here!!!

Yes, we are, but Weimi is slightly more annoying that the cornavirus. :)

Well, well, well.

Here is a very interesting case to observe.

Out of one side of her mouth:

A shame the thread has turned into a nationalistic slanging match, as usual...

Out of the other side of her mouth:

Best to seal the border to everyone right now

The cognitive dissonance of leftists has already been pointed out in other threads on this forum.

In this instance the apparent hypocrisy of decrying nationalism while simultaneously demanding sealing the border does have an explanation.

What you see in these two contradictory posts (made just hours apart) is the heady display of female collectivism, short-term thinking, and need for constant drama while having the female instinct for self-preservation at all cost kick in when her own ass is suddenly on the line.

You're welcome. :)

So what exactly EU done for anyone? Greece has to deal with their border issues themslefses. Some goes for reaction to the virus. Italy on her own. I mean it exposés empty EU existence, that cost a lot. Who the hell need those costly a-holes in Brussels if they are not any good if a REAL problem arise.

Forcing LGBT, Green crap on others, picking on internal issues in Poland, making - useless for the general population - regulations - they are good at it i.e. creating problems. Solving them no so much!

They are hiding in their luxury apartments paid by EU taxpayers.

these two contradictory posts

No contradiction, Bieggers, at least not to anyone in touch with reality. Though as usual you're pointlessly trolling about things (i.e. Poland and the rest of Europe) that don't concern you and that you have no connection to...

Your parents' basement getting too damp for you?
