That's the whole point and that's how corona mortality stats are being made.
Since it is almost as widespread as common flu by now any 70+ yo with circulatory diseases, heart diseases, diabetes, multiple organ failures and age related diseases can be tested for 'covid19' antibodies and included in coronaflu stats once they pass out.

Probably not so many coz there are no mass tests for them. If there were, many teachers would come out positive, I suppose. I myself could have had covid - I heard unusual symptoms in me some time ago - strange noises in my lungs - so loud that they even kept waking me up in the middle of several nights in a row. Also - I lost my basic senses - e.g., I left the frying pan on and didn`t smell anything until the whole house was full of smoke. My wife was really mad.

But I recovered and now am safe and sound.

Avoiding the potential to catch COVID really is all about regulation and cracking down on people who think that the virus is nothing to worry about and will soon go away....these people are sadly disillusioned and need a reality check.....what the government need to do is to get a pair of balls and instruct the police and any other area of authority to regulate people who ignore the law (ie. that masks and hand washing etc are obligitory and not just some sort of option that they can opt in or out...) People who flout the law on this need to be approached by police who should be enforcing what is the law and imposing fines or whatever else the penalties are......simple....

This is not the point. Children infect one another, mostly asymptomatically due to a young age, then bring the virus back home, to their parents and grandparents.

There are 7 million kids at school - about 80x the total number of cases to date in Poland.

What is your solution ? If they stay at home their parents can't work. That includes parents who are doctors and nurses, tram drivers, policemen and supermarket workers.

No work means no economy, many more deaths from other things and much worse healthcare in the future.

One solution that they tried in the UK was schooling for key workers' kids only. It had mixed success.

The problem is that the media has hyped the China flu as a Death Sentence to sensationalize it.
Example is Trump has a 99% chance of complete recover while Melania has a 99.9% chance of complete recovery.


I think just the opposite.
They have no other choice when the dumb people think they have all the right answers and "rights" which jeopardizes other peoples lives like the Maskholes that wear their mask under their nose or no masks at all.

Once a law is past to incarcerate these people into huge F.E.M.A. camps (where they would certainly catch it) who refuse to wear a mask PROPERLY or social distance this virus will not go away.

And they took the side of the commie chinks as well. This virus isn't natural , it was create in a lab, a bio weapon. Its an act of war what they did to the world and the libtards just go along with their lies and propaganda.

Of which only two (2) were from covid alone... if one WHO estimate is right then only one in every 750 people who've gotten it has died... which is a lot and unfortunate but the world is full of dangerous things that we don't shut down society and the economy fore....

I suspect the next month or two will be the hardest hitting in Poland and there won't be any more lockdown nonsense (lockdowns only delay the virus's spread it doesn' stop it).

Just as predicted D. Trump has used this opportunity to mock "deadly pandemic" and to score few extra political points. Covid19 is a common infection which in most cases doesn't produce any symptoms* or very light flu-like symptoms. And it kept a 74 year old Trump out of campaign for 3 days.

Remind me again, how many doctors on his team? Nine or ten?? He has an absolute cheek to tell the American public to not fear the virus, when you consider the disgraceful lack of basic medical care for the poorest people in the USA, many of whom are the most at risk.

Incidentally the White House is equipped with a medical suite and you can be sure that as soon as the cameras have departed, Trump will take to his bed and continue to receive treatment.

75 new deaths reported today. I think the highest number in the past was near the beginning of the epidemic and was 40. Obviously there is a lot more testing going on which is why the daily new cases have risen so dramatically, over 3,000 reported today but it's also obvious that the true rate of infection was much higher over the summer than the limited testing showed. I'm just wondering why the death rate has increased so dramatically when the number of infections probably hasn't - or has it? The transmission rate must be growng as more and more people ignore distancing and contact limiting and gather in large numbers. Colleges return this month and they're all going to be infected without a doubt. Wonder what effect that will have.

Of course it is and it's going to be even higher in the future since there are new "antipandemic measures" introduced by "Ministry of Health".

For, example, from now on GP's will get extra payment for taking care of coronaflu positive patients ergo they will test as many people as possible to get more lucrative corona-positives and in turn to get more money out of it.

And sadly there will be more and more. At the university down the road, most students live in digs rather than halls (they don't have many) and some lectures are online, a plus at this time. At others here which have halls, there's been no bulk testing at all, and the students are socialising without social distancing. The problems will come when asymptomatic carriers return home and infect older family members.


I suspect the low testing rates are responsible for this. In Poland, the first wave is yet to come.

Most of the world is not collecting stats in a reliable manner. A handful of European countries produce honest statistcs, as for the rest of the world..............

Can you just imagine the number of people in Russia alone who have died at home, no doctor, no hospital care? Stuffed into a body bag and chucked into a pauper's grave.

In an information age, policy is only as good as the information available. With covid the original information came from the notoriously dishonest communist (but I repeat myself) government of China and this affected policy everywhere

if you put (country) covic stats october into google you get a little .... chart (can't link to it) shows you "daily change" for a lot of countries and you can compare new cases vs deaths.

what jumps out is that countries with lots of fatalities earlier have very few now... my hypothesis is that a country is going to lose a... vulnerable segment of the population either sooner or later and no lockdowns or social distancing will affect that very much...

and while here, "Social distancing" is awful communist style rhetoric (it's actually "anti-social distancing") and typical of the type of policies created by technocrats who do not understand human nature at all....

Because the official Russian death poll is simply not believable given the number of infected people, the general health of the Russian people and the fact that the Russian health care system is not really up to Western standards. Besides the Russian government is known to lie on so many other issues, thus it would be hardly a shock of they did so this time as well.

Oh I can easily believe that their data is manipulated or outright fake. I'm arguing the part of dying alone without seeing a doctor or being in hospital.

yeah that seems out of character, I could imagine it in a place like Japan where the government could give subtle signals for old people to not seek care which many would follow for the 'good of the country'... I've wondered a time or two if/to what extent that could have happened there....

but Russia?

I can imagine lots of people dying after being refused care or dying after being given what passes for healthcare in Russia and never being counted though... that's easy.

But back to my point numbers of 'cases' are rapidly expanding across Europe but death rates are only (relatively modestly) increasing only in countries that were not strongly affected in April... this virus seems to have a.... ceiling and a floor (that is, there seems to be a minimum-maximum number of fatalities in any given area).

Poland has yet to really reach the floor while lots of countries (Italy, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Germany...) have already hit the ceiling.

As of this Saturday 500zl fine for not wearing a mask in public places.

They have a lot of single elderly people whose kids have moved away. I can easily believe this.


Cheaper than the ten grand in some other places.

Lets hope the police are going to be proactive in enforcing non compliance and working hard to remind people to wear masks.....
