China won't even talk directly to Poland; if anything, they will start talking to Brussels and whatever they decide Poland will approve.

You underestimate China's wisdom - they even talk to smaller countries directly, and 66% of their rail cargo traffic to Europe goes through Poland, so I doubt they would want to snub Poland in any way.
