Funny how they all just stepped in with these laws all over the world almost like there was some high level coordination going on....

But that's for conspiracy theorists that's not happening.

I love the idea..
It will make the task of finding and arresting hateful people so much easier.
Hitler and Stalin must be green with envy. Why didn't they think about it first...Duh...

Hey, easy...We, Americans, may be stoopid, but we know how to read English if it's not too complicated ...

Did you notice that "Following Portugal and France..." in Post 1? Me thinks that they already have it on them books ...

Am I correct?

In France that law is still in senate etc

Bizarre thing is that back in 2008 when "violent video games" were ruining children, these same 28 year olds justifiably laughed in the faces of all the middle-aged "youth psychology experts." It's not good that relatively young adults are having the approach of 50 year olds.

Children have no business getting online. They can play video games offline. However, make no mistake - this law is yet another brick towards implementation of human chips.

Children have no business getting online.

You missed the two years where school was online ?

After that you can't just put the internet back in its box - it's a part of everyday life for kids too

The end of internet anonymity needs far more discussion than it is getting but I think in Poland that Nawrocki would veto it anyway.

I think these bans are directed at the US, which dominates the social media and internet apps / AI. This gives the EU more time to catch up with the competition; once they do, they may stop enforcing these laws. However, it's very unlikely they catch up with the US or China on that.

Children have no business getting online

It should be the concern of the parents.

Parents?

Parents are retards.

If I relied on my parents I would be lost.

The good Soviet state helped raised me.

Definitely a big dose of anti Americanism in this proposal and similar ones in Europe. It is mainly the fault of Musk for repeatedly winding up elected European governments but also Zuckerberg, Bezos and Karp for their brown nosing of Golden Cow.

After Trump goes I think there will be a round of apologies and the whole issue quietly dropped.

As far as social media is concerned, absolutely so. You can't keep them off altogether, however it's depressing to see the young staring into phones rather than interacting with what's around them.

So Poland doesn't create anything new, just "improves" what other's have done by adding more bureaucracy, restrictions, and less privacy. A lose-lose for Polish people.
