The word "mafia" has been at last mentioned ( something that Poles have known for ages )in the Amber Gold scam.

Jerzy Sterpien advises to investigate the first 100 investors in the scam back in 2009 and who did make 13% ,( for instance someone invested 3 Millions PLN) and to just follow where those people or companies lead to: friends, family but i also suspect those Prokurators who had freed the fraudster 3 times and a bunch of officials,...

I had the opportunity to comment on another occasion on other pages on the affair Amber Gold ( aferki - as would others ) . From the point of view of the clients of the pyramid is certainly a aferka , but the optics Citizens nakazałaby talk about a major scandal - says the former president of the Constitutional Court Jerzy Stepien .

By the way the figure of the pyramid would suggest that the base is the largest , and somewhere at the end is the top - speck . For the brightness of the image triangle pyramid it would be good to enter in the inverted trapezoid base identical to the base of the pyramid , and the longer side parallel would be at least at the height of the apex of the pyramid. This side would be a lot longer - in proportion to the number of strained .

PIP I do think that we ll find out for it is urgent that the Polish legal systems changes , how many scams and rip offs happen every year ? People need a reliable Justice system to turn to like in canada ,Uk etc

Who knows?

I think there is so much more to this story than we will ever find out.

So far over 5000 clients of Amber Gold have lodged their claims for 274 million PLN in Polish courts. And it is not the end.

Gdansk prosecutors announced that the number of notifications about the possible commission of an offense by Amber Gold rose to 5 thousand . 287 Total claims approaching 274 million.

Previous information from the prosecutor's office on customer claims Amber Gold came out last Friday . Then the prosecution were 4432 notifications in the amount of nearly 233 million zł . Until Wednesday came so over 850 notifications , and the total claims increased by 41 million zł .

you're dealing with what is suppose to be a reputable business.

One thing that a reputable business will never do is offer a guaranteed rate of return that is more than double the very best rate offered by banks for deposits.

prosecutors should be held accountable as well as Marcin Plichta.

Exactly: those people had a job to do and utterly failed to do their job.

Yes!

Yes! Yes!

PS. What a pity you haven`t written 3 snetences so that I could exclaim 3 yeses. That would be our record.

Some journalists have detailed the mafia boy's menu in jail : Budget per day 4.80 zl! ( no more ducks with apples and Champagne for Marcin Plichta!)

se.pl/wydarzenia/kraj/amber-gold-milioner-marcin-p-zyje-te raz-za-480-zl_277294.html

It is a small compensation for his 5000 victims but no doubt that as soon as they free him he ll move to a safe heaven where no one knows about him.

pity that the likes of Kaczynski got such a bad rap for wanting to go after people like this.....I bet many of those that lost their money now wish he was able to do more.

Wanting doesn`t mean going. And don`t forget that Kaczyński`s wanting ensued going after all of them - no matter if innocent or guilty.

I'm not convinced Kaczynski would have even touched him - he was notorious for only going after those who had open political connections to perceived enemies. There's no evidence that our boy here was politically linked, apart from quite probably bribing the Gdansk prosecutors.

but i also suspect those Prokurators who had freed the fraudster 3 times and a bunch of officials,...

Hasn't it been made clear that the prosecutors in Gdansk are in big, big trouble over this?

People need a reliable Justice system to turn to like in canada ,Uk etc

It's a failing of the civil law system in general that prosecutors have so much power. In Canada, the UK, etc - prosecutors don't have nearly so much power.

Yes, he was, upon Gdańsk mayor`s request, he sponsored the newly created film about Lech Wałęsa!!!! Major sin according to Kaczyński!

Well, so much for "democracy" in Poland. Those willing to do something are ridiculed and thus "neutralized". Amber Gold is a small potato in comparision with various "deals" in health care, infrastructure contracts or "privatization" process. Tens of billions are stolen annually.

Major sin according to Kaczyński!

Explain please.

Don`t be silly. The only thing Kaczyński wants is power in order to take revenge on his political opponents and all people who are against him. He is using Amber Gold scandal in the same way as he has used his dead brother, former President of Poland.

And since his brother was "killed", he now wants revenge.

It is frightening to consider what he would do with the State apparatus with his state of mind.

Gazeta Wyborcza on Saturday reported that the number of clients trying to reover their money from Amber Gold scam had climbed to 5,695. They had lost a total of 290 million złotys but that sum was likely to rise to 300 million next week, the paper said.

As I said, it will be a nice lesson for people, but, as I also said, only for some time. After a few years` time the old scams will be forgotten and greed will take over again.

Anybody recall Lech Grobelny and his BKO (Bezpieczna Kasa Oszczędności). The savigns book was exactly like PKO with an eagle on the cover. He bamboozled more than 10,000 gullible Poles before disappearing with the loot. Then there was Bagsik and Gąsiorowski. The latter fled to Israel with the loot. Latedr he got caught at Zürich airport, if I recall.

Geez! is that all?
Well maybe that idea of the global village will be even stronger after 15 years and he will have only a hut in the Congo to hide in someday.

Indeed so. Still I do not understand why anybody with a normal IQ could have believed their advertisements promising 13% on a "lokata", when all the banks offered less than half of it?

When I saw their billboards last year, I smelt a rat immediately. But yes, greed makes people blind.

Excellent remark. It also never came to my mind to join Amber Gold. Those ads, despite their "grandiousness," were pretenciously cheap.

Today Amber Gold was officially declared as bankrupt.

Customers can start filing their lawsuits.

Amber Gold headquarters in Gdańsk has become a popular tourist destination.

Amber Gold Poland

Angry Amber Gold clients demand that the Gdańsk Zoo should return the donation it received from the fraudster. However, law forbids to annul the donation. That is why the Zoo is building a new house for gibbons and lions.

Our gold!!
