Will PiS be happy if AfD wins elections in Germany?

BSW, a party that did not exist a year ago. In fact, nothing is known about this party except that it does not want to help Ukraine, i.e. it is pro-russian.

More German political failure! Just what we needed!!!!!

Polish original colors are red /white /red.

That is interesting...Austria and Latvia use red/white colors too!

Austria at least has a nice story....the red stands for the blood of the slain enemies on the white clothes of the austrian victor! :)

And England and Georgia. And Switzerland.

Monaco too. They can save money (not that Monaco needs to) by reusing Polish flags.

And England and Georgia. And Switzerland.

I wonder why.....if that also is about that "blood-story".....

Austria at least has a nice story..

There are some interpretations or explanations of some meaning behind those colors. I think people come up with that post-factum.
Those colors derive from the coat of arms of our first dynasty that created Poland, They ruled in Poland for the first 600 years of our history.
The eagle should be silver but it's white.
I guess there are some similar stories for other countries. In England two lines of Plantagenets like in War of Roses white and red, although the St George's cross derives from the times of Crusaders if I'm not mistaken.

Wow, thank you, Iron! These are some reasonable explanations...better than the stories at Wiki! :)

Ours originates in Georgia; we have the same patron saint. I doubt it's so much about blood stories as about visibility and early medieval fabrics and dyestuffs.

In England two lines of Plantagenets like in War of Roses white and red

That's the Tudor Rose. An amalgam of the family emblems of the House of York and the House of Lancaster. A bit later and contains other colours. It's used (in different forms) as military insignia and as county flags but hasn't as far as I know ever been a national flag.

visibility and early medieval fabrics and dyestuffs.

....I didn't think about that but surely....people back then did only have a few colors available, sure! That would explain alot....

Yeah those two lines of the Plantagenets, then as you said Tudors.

I'm talking about colors, England colors derive from those coats of arms colors - that is what I mean.
As to St George Cross I wouldn't know if that has anything to do with Georgia or with the Crusaders, that was my guess. If you know tell us if that is not a secret. lol! ---

Wow, thank you, Iron!

They don't. They derive from the cross of St George.

Monaco too. They can save money (not that Monaco needs to) by reusing Polish flags.

They can buy them for next to nothing in large quantities after each football championship.

According to this week's NYT, Scholz just won a victory against the encroaching AfD
in Saxony and Thuringia! As Europe is slowly turning Left once again, this seems to
dovetail with Harris' steady lead over Trump!

I hope people are getting tired of the same ol' reactionary song and dance about
stray foreigners taking over white collar jobs etc.
While there may be some degree of statistical truth to such a claim, it's no reason
to turn the clock back pre-Civil Rights and a return to the bad old days.

Moderation, not extremism either Right or Left, should remain the watchword.

Except you are reading a bias Leftist newspaper which says Harris is leading however she actually is not.
The New York time said that Hillary was leading Trump in the 2016 election too yet she lost.
Why you refuse to believe Trump is leading with electoral votes amasses me.
I will tell you again Lyzko, The Democratic Campaign is in serious trouble and they know it.

I hope people are getting tired of the same ol' reactionary song

You mean the one she keeps singing about growing up in a middle class family poor ? lol

it's no reason to turn the clock back

Sure there is, Trump is taking our country back from you Woke sicko's.
Gas will be half the price it is now, the border wall will get finished to keep the drugs and human trafficking and gangs and terrorist out and our children will know which bathroom to use.
Seems you are stuck on stupid Lyzko.

Scholz just won a victory

Yes, it's good news.

As Europe is slowly turning Left once again, this seems to dovetail with Harris' steady lead over Trump!

Not so slowly. We had a massive landslide in the U.K. and when the racists started to make trouble by streetfighting, thousands of decent people turned out to make human chains to prevent them.

Mind you, a political scandal is brewing. Nothing very serious, just sex and romance, and of course nobody much cares who sleeps with whom nowadays; it's 2024 not 1924. Likely to hit the media soon, probably overseas due to an alleged superinjunction.

It would be sad if that happens since there's apparently an innocent party involved who of course deserves total privacy and of course when this happened last time it stayed out of the media, however there's a key difference now. People on the political centre and the political left have standards and stick to the law and human decency. Righturds have no standards and don't care about the law or about an individual innocent party.

bias Leftist newspaper

Jim doesn't mention biased righturd newspapers, does he.

Tell that to Donald Trump with a straight face, jonny
the political left have standards

Standards of alley cats. :-(

No because we weren't debating them, we were debating the New York times Mr. Twister.
You can promote your Marxist agenda all you want here jon357 and the decent people here can call you out on all your Satanic Woke bullshit in the same manner.
We had a massive landslide in the U.K.

And just look at the mess you have now from mass illegal immigration to your failing economy.
Seemed you would have learned from our obama/biden administration agenda's.

rump with a stra

He sleeps with prostitutes and rapes other women.

Quite different than separating and having a new relationship.

No because we weren't debating them

We aren't now. This isn't a debating society.

Sod off and watch your favourite far-right fake news show.

Or look at online pictures of Humpty Dumpty. That or look in the mirror which is much the same thing only less aesthetic.

Yes we see that in the following
He sleeps with prostitutes

You hypocrite
Sod off Humpty Dumpty.

Again, when Leftists start losing the debate they start nasty name calling.
That is why your childish meltdowns are so fun to poke fun at when you talk out of both sides of your mouth. hahahaha !

There's no "debates" and you've never won an argument you started.

Now run along, Humpty...

The thread's about political issues in Europe; a place you've never been to whereas everyone else here has.

@Johnny, I've been arguing the same point for years now and it's
already moot!

Your ilk has all but forgotten that in life, you don't do twenty-four seven
just what you want to do, but what you HAVE to do...or else.

Every movement has its downside. Yet pre-Civil Right, non-white Americans,
tax paying citizens, many of whom fought and fought proudly in the Big One,
didn't even have library privileges in certain states, much less the basic freedoms
they enjoy today.

You're mired in the same prejudices as the rest of America. You're deafened, dumbed down,
and sheer blinded by the race issue.

By the by, Bloomberg has Harris ahead as well and the last time I fact checked, Bloomberg
News is an independent, indeed Centrist to Right leaning, news agency.

anti-immigrant and pro-russian party. i don't know why people love such parties, but there are certainly "experts" on pf who love such political parties. 🤔

anti-immigrant and pro-russian party.

anti-immigrant or anti horrible, dysfunctional migration policy?

pro-russian or funded by russia because it sees an opportunity?

there are certainly "experts" on pf who love such political parties

i wonder if this might help explain.... (nb that's one month that's no over yet).

anti horrible, dysfunctional migration policy?

i assume that all democratic parties are against this and against the pathologies associated with it. problems arise when the reaction to migration becomes pathological and inadequate. for example, to solve the migration problem, one does not have to leave the eu, close the borders or reintroduce dm.

...it's not about russia but all about anti-immigrants! the right will take over europe if the govs don't get it sorted out soon.

i see some german politicians are spitting feathers because an italian bank is buying a german one. hard to say why because german banks have from time to time bought other ones abroad.

what do the fascists from the afd say about that?

it's like fiat trying to buy volkswagen. it's simply not feasible.

why not?

and why shouldn't fiat buy volkswagen?

what do the afd say about the bank takeover?

you could have fooled me... cause the impression i have is that all the mainstream parties are simply trying to ignore the problem and/or call anyone who notices the proble a bigot or nazi...

meanwhile....

what do the afd say about the bank takeover?

i don't know, but from the news it appears that the german state, which is co-owner of this bank, will not allow a hostile takeover. it's similar with volkswagen, which is co-owned by the state of lower saxony. it's untouchable.
