Morawiecki and Macierewicz and a very strange film....

A lot of people are wondering what's going on in PiS due the very.... odd interaction between PM Morawiecki and aborted-coup leader and former minister of defense (and all round conspiracy loon) Antoni Macierewicz....

the usually impassive Morawiecki (known for his trademark asymetric scowl) bugs his eyes out at something said by Macierewicz at the 3 year anniversary of the death of former prime minister Olszewski and steps toward him (while the camera inconveniently moves in another direction)

What is going on here (and what's going on in PiS)?

Maciar didn`t insult Moraw personally - the latter is hard skinned and toughened against criticism. Most probably it was Moraw`s father whose memory was abused by Maciar - e.g, he could imply sth about Old Moraw`s affiliation with the Kremlin.

And what about Smolensk Boy's own Russian.... connections.....? Wouldnt' that be the pot calling the kettle black?

yeah, sure Macierewicz is a Russian spy - in Tomasz Piątek's imagination mostly

Another one is also good. The thief is screaming: Catch the thief! So, Maciar perfectly knows that people suspect him of being the Russian connection and this suspicion is well grounded. So, he tries to shift the accusations onto other people.


A lot of his past and quite recent actions prove it.

There should be an award a golden political fool in Poland. In fact many such awards. So many fools.

Caracals as far as I know are transport helicopters - to my understanding Poland actually doesn't immediately need such choppers especially after NATO has withdrawn from Afghanistan - I would love to see attack helicopters for Polish army (the like of the American Apache) but we can't have anything presto - maybe some day

also: to my understanding the Caracal deal was reached by the PO government and the French as a bribe: Tusk wanted to be somebody in Europe and the French most probably said: 'it comes with a price" - also as far as I know the agreed price for a unit was 50 per cent higher than the price Turkey paid a couple of years earlier

I was wrong - it was Brasil - and the price per unit was a half of that Poland was supposed to pay

Turkey bought over 100 American Black Hawks for the price similar to the price we were supposed to pay for 60 caracals (and the Americans have given Turkey a significant offset deal)

tell me what do you think we need transport helicopters for - in simple words - caracals may be multi purpose but they are not attack helicopters

also tanks are useful in a war when you engage in a war with an enemy wielding lots of tanks - transport helicopers? not so much


it's debateable - other companies involved in the public tender offered even more offset but the offset was not part of the conditions of the tender

A little. To be really useful in our theatre, we would need thousands of them, like Russia currently has, and not 200 or 300. Instead of tanks, we need thousands of antitank and anti-aircraft stuff which is much cheaper and millions of civilian Poles could learn to use it. While tanks are operated only by the army.


No, they aren`t. But their usefulness is the same as tanks. Your tanks against my Caracals - it is a draw.
