The spokesman just said they have a lot of boulders to shift. Fingers crossed that it turns out well.

The quake was provoked by using fracturing method to produce shale gas. And I'm very happy that all miners are safe now. But I don't understand how authorities allowed people to work and use that dangerous method somewhere at the same time. I can't even imagine where exactly they decided to test fracturing but we saw the result but thankfully everything turned out well. This accident is just another reminder that rush to use some unexplored ways to produce energy is too dangerous and do not worth our efforts. We can't be sure that another fracturing test will be without victims...

Money.

Spot on. Shale gas fracking is something that Europe does not need.

Shale gas fracking is something Poland definitely needs and if it appears there are any chances of obtaining energy from it we will most certainly use it.

So how do we explain the hundreds of other tremors in the area since 1990?

Remove the word 'energy' and substitute with the word 'money'. Also add extreme environmental damage that will last for generations.

Energy=Money. Obviously! "Also add extreme environmental damage that will last for generations?" There is no reliable proof of that. In any case, it is in the country's best interest to become less dependent on russian energy, therefore it will accept certain risks, if any.

Any word on how the miners are doing or if the mine is going back into production any time soon?
