You should be. I was busy watching paint dry. More interesting than getting sucked into a discussion with some nationalist.

Those are not Poles you nimrod!!

I...WHAT??? Whassa "nimrod" :)
(I hope something coool!)

there's only a few hundred thousand real Poles in all of Germany.

Polish minority in Germany, is the second largest Polish minority (Polonia) in the world and the biggest in Europe.

Guys, guys - making any comments that could be perceived in any way as even mildly negative towards Germany is pointless with Bratwurst Boy.

There is something profoundly wrong in the fact that a thread about a Polish cleaner in Germany
was turned into a Polish-German military debate, but since it happened anyway...

Agreed. It seems certain posters here see everything through with a nationalistic perspective.

Polish history is one, long streak of victories over Germans

Though this is also true :-)

dirty Germans?

Germans are dirty? Interesting. We Serbians see them quite differently. We have proverb `Stupid as German and ugly as Turk`. We say that for person that is total mental and physical disaster

Well...you started it...

Actually, Sweetie, you did. I just posted an article about a Polish lady from today's newspaper.
Did you notice that her book is on the best-seller list in Germany?
:-D

Polish cleaner blows the lid on 'dirty' Germans

I thought this was quite telling.

Yeah...it was definitely me!

We Serbs are useful only for organ harvesting

Who knows...we should ask "Justyna" if she found some serb organs under some german bed somewhere..
Is it to late now???

they're building beautiful homes

They're certainly not beautiful. Expensive, yes - but not beautiful.

The current trends in Polish housebuilding are utterly shocking and will leave a horrific scar on the landscape in years to come.

Yeah...it was definitely me!

Yes it was. Interesting that you include the thread title, which was the original article's headline, as a quote.
And yes it is rather telling - given the book's success it seems a lot of Germans think so too!

Well, I tried for 3 pages now to bring you to spill it out WHAT actually is telling what...without success.

You really seemed to support the idea that employing house cleaners is a good reason to call someone "dirty". But that is something that is just not logical.

Then you seemed to coddle the notion that servants are somehow exploited and that they somehow have some kind of moral superiority over their employers.

Both notions are plain crap!

Then you brought the nationalist stereotypes and did pit again the "poor victimized Poles" against the "typically arrogant Germans"....that's all what you have left to play with..."sweetie".

I'm having fun, and you?

Maybe you'd like to post a few pics of these hideous dwellings.

What makes you think that?

Then you seemed to coddle the notion that servants are somehow exploited and that they somehow have some kind of moral superiority over their employers.

In her case, this is true, according to the book.

Then you brought the nationalist stereotypes and did pit again the "poor victimized Poles" against the "typically arrogant Germans"....that's all what you have left to play with..."sweetie".

What makes you think that I "brought" the nationalist stereotypes to an article which addresses them? Or used phrases like "typically arrogant Germans" or "poor victimized Poles" You need to try much harder!

What makes you think that?

*points to thread header and first comment by thread opener*

In her case, this is true, according to the book.

She wants to sell a book, "sweetie". Washing dirty laundry very probably
against her ex-employers wishes...how much of it is really true - we will probably never know.
But chances are that she colored her stories quite abit..to sell some more.
It's like with sex, the dirtier the higher the pay.

She seems some kind of a w*hore. First doing everything for money, even if she hates it and
afterwards spelling the secrets for some more money! Even using a pseudonym instead of her name.
How trustworthy do you think she is?

What makes you think that I "brought" the nationalist stereotypes to an article which addresses such things?

Well, it was you who invoked "mean german stereotypes about poor Poles" first...*points again to first thread page*

Points with a smile to at least two comments explaining that the header is the headline of the quoted article. Perhaps you missed them, but I doubt it.

There's something wrong with that?

She seems some kind of a w*hore. First doing everything for money, even if she hates it

That fits most people doing crap jobs. Unless you think cleaners should work out of the goodness of their hearts.

How trustworthy do you think she is?

Probably rather more trustworthy than the woman who witheld half her wages or the judge who kept confiscated mariajuana plants!

Well, it was you who invoked "mean german stereotypes about poor Poles" first...*

Do you deny they exist?

Probably rather more trustworthy than the wonam who witheld half her wages.

What makes you sure that happened that way?

PS: That's her:

Justyna Polanska

Do you know why she writes under a pseudonym? She want's to keep her job...
Interesting, isn't it? Can't be THAT bad...;)

Do you deny they exist?

ROFL
I love stereotypes, of course they exist. Every people has stereotypes about other people.

I can't stand your whining all the time about others. In case you missed it, the sun does NOT shine out of polish arses.

What compelled me to take part in THIS particular discussion was that I couldn't follow the reasoning about the headline and the article, hence my question to explain it to me.

Somehow to invoke german "dirtyness" using the adventures of some polish house cleaner....
After all...the job of a hous cleaner is to clean the house of dirt, isn't it?

Given the book's sudden success, I doubt she'll need to.

What makes you think it didn't?

Actually I don't care...but I still think if all would have been so horrible she wouldn't had made it for 12 long years...not planning to work here even further...after earning so much money with her book.

Something just doesn't add up here....I believe she plays all for a fool and makes a good bucket with it! Not so stupid Pole! :)

Do you think she always dresses like that?

At least she doesn't seem to be the helpless, beautiful damsel in distress Pennboy wants her to be!;)

Given the book's sudden success, I doubt she'll need to.

I googled her and read about her book in Bild...that was her explanation for using a pseudonym!
*shrugs*

PS: She has her own column: "Cleaning with Justyna" :)

droemer-knaur.de/magazin/Putzen+mit+Justyna.7768653.html

I really come to believe she is a comedian...using a vita of being a "polnische Putzfrau" to earn her living but being rather an author. Who knows if she is really polish! I tell ya she had us played for fools!

This bit's probably true.

.that was her explanation for using a pseudonym!

The 'Seerauber Jenny' effect, with a bit of Despina thrown in for good measure!

burping, farting at the table

lol But that's a general German thing as far as I've noticed ;)

Probably rather more trustworthy than the woman who witheld half her wages or the judge who kept confiscated mariajuana plants!

And all those Germans who employ those people illegally :P

how much of it is really true - we will probably never know.

Yup, yet you assume the worst about this woman even without reading the book.

But chances are that she colored her stories quite abit..to sell some more.
It's like with sex, the dirtier the higher the pay.

As trustworthy as foreigners writing here on this forum about Poles behind their backs, using screen names instead of their real first names and surnames? :)

My guess is that if Harry published a book about Poland and Poles "spelling their secrets" he would be applauded here...

Somehow to invoke german "dirtyness" using the adventures of some polish house cleaner....

There's this stereotype of Germans being überclean and orderly :) I remember that I've found all the lawns in Austria and Germany inhumanly even and trimmed - all looking exactly the same and the same with houses - at least on the outside. The cleanliness was almost creepy :) So it's quite heartening to know that Germans are... people too, after all ;)))

Yeah...compared to the other poster who believe everything in the article at once without even reading the book...or having any chance of knowing if that isn't just one big joke...heh:)

I remember that I've found all the lawns in Austria and Germany inhumanly even and trimmed

That's not "inhumanly"...it was our Poles who did it! ;)

I mean come on, we both know what we are talking about, I just want you to spill out your germanophobia...
You are one of this board who like to flaunt their liberal, "enlightened" way of thinking - compared to us other low life hillbillies.

Isn't it interesting that you nurture your very own form of nationalistic, stereotyped bigotry like the rest of us? Nice...you are human after all! :)
