Cardinal of Poland, Józef Glemp, has died aged 83. He was representing the Church during the stormy years of change.
Cardinal Jozef Glemp was Poland's Roman Catholic Primate during a decade of political turmoil, and often found himself caught in the crossfire between the Communist authorities and the trade union Solidarity.

I am sure that if you had lived at the time, you would heavily critisize him for his calls for peace and moderation, addressed to the opposition. You would call him a Soviet agent, wouldn`t you? :):):):):):)

Or not, you undercover agent of an antiPolish lobby?

Eh, Ironsik, you are such a troubled man. :):):):)

How do you know? Indeed I think that moderation was a blunder and the phish.
Soviet agent? No just failure, in comparison to Sapieha,Wyszynski and Wojtyła.

lost? I stated the fact and because he is death I wasn't commenting on his political standing, until l you come along to stir the pot.

Never the less there is no inconsistency in my views and if you want to see it differently it is because you haven;t been paid what to think.::)

Ok, would you mind revealing your precious views on Glemp now?
Be careful, think twice before you write anything. Remember:

You have the right to remain silent.
Anything you say or do may be used against you in a court of law.
You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the forum member and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future.

If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning, if you wish.
If you decide to answer any questions now, without an attorney present, you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney.

Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?

RIP Cardinal - too many people now forget the church's huge role in bringing down the corrupt and oppressive communist system

Mods, why don't you just call this the "dead priest thread"? That way anytime a priest dies readers will know where to go!

Good job! (sarcasm)
