Second, the info is here

Some ksieza have alcohol problmes is nothing new. As long as they don't dance naked in the front of the altar, bishops seems to let them be.

the inane dirge of the litany on the street,

You mafia foreginer you can always get out if you don't like it! We in Poland don't need your thugish crminal type.

It might help if you find out what the bishop was drinking, it may help with your suffering.

Good one:))) Methinks in the bishops' case, the Communial cup overfloweth:)

Seriously - that was a bad one for the community, and why I try to stay away from the doors of the church, whereas Polonius for example, actively seeks out LGBT marches because they cause him so much pain:) like the rabble on the streets at Corpus Christi annoy me.

You mafia foreginer

There's a guy just like you on the other thread:))

Now - you are new here. Behave yourself. Because, if you don't.......

Oh wait a minute - you don't have a sense of humour do you?

bishops seems to let them be

And you're not very smart are you. The crim is a bishop. And you of course would be glad to challenge the people's rights, but the clergy have their ecclesiastical laws right?

the info is here, if you can read in Polish

Thanks! As I understand it, the gentleman received 6 months suspended, a fine of 2,400 zl, donated 4,000 zl to some charity, was banned from driving for 4 years, was suspended from the bishopry, but in 2015 was reinstated in some post............

The 6 months suspended stuff would be laughable. I got 2 years probation and some aggravation when a woman walked out into the road plumb in front of my car and I was unable to stop in time, although driving under the speed limit.

All the above might indicate why you never "informed the board" as to this gentleman's misdemeanours and the ridiculousness of the status of this medieval religion- but I'm sure you can shed some light on my misunderstanding of the truth of the matter?

The 6 months suspended stuff would be laughable.

A two-year (!) suspended stuff for a first-time offender and with no human damage resulting from it would be a typical ruling for the typical Jan Kowalski in such a case - my acquaintances in the Polish legal system inform me. So the bishop was no exception here. Btw, your 'allies' in this thread were ridiculing a supposedly much less severe sentence, but now you are pushing the 'laughable' stamp for such a rulaing very much upwards, so it is likely that a sentence of, say, 12 years in prison for this deed would be merely called 'moderate' rather than 'severe' by you in the case of the offender being a Catholic bishop.

The ruling was in fact the 2-year suspension of a six-month in-prison sentence.

If you don't shut up I'll cut you open ....what? ha ha ha! you don't have a sense of humour, this way you can make humor around your friends, here not funny.

And you're not very smart are you. The crim is a bishop

No, you are a mafia thugish foreginer with some shady bussiens in Poland. I know it is about bishop but he got his punishment - what to talk about?

Mmm - 2 promil is a wilful offence. I wouldn't care to test the courts patience myself. Would you? 3 months in prison is a very likely result (or why would drunk cyclists be sent to prison for cycling from their home to the village shop?)

An obscene ruling in my view.

2 promil is a wilful offence

That's actually a huge amount of alcohol.

rabble on the streets at Corpus Christi

That's how you show respect to your hospitable host country which proudly venerates the Holy Eucharist in cities, towns and villages across the nation on Boże Ciało. That holiday even the commie regime was afraid to suppress!

What's your vile remark called in your books: tolerance, understanding, kindness, good taste, tact, diplomacy, politeness?!

Most people don't take part.

More take part than the rabble-rousing KODerasts you are so fond of. Just imagine, Holy Mass followed by a procession to four altars in every single of the several thousand parishes in Poland. Congregations range from several hundred to several thousand. Dunno if any figures are available but it's a staggering number.

KODerasts

???

More take part

Not that many actually. In this parish they just walked once round the churchyard and back indoors.

how you show respect

But it's all so depressing Polonius. Even my neighbours admit to getting miffed at all the tuneless warblings of "Ave Maria" ruining the peace. The church does allow for some jolly good tunes - so why is it we seldom hear them?

Doug " tuneless warblings " Try living in the middle east call to prayer 5 times a day what a nightmare, air con and triple glazing is a must.

I was glad to be out of there to be honest, as a westerner there were places I could not go near after Friday prayers dependent on how much the iman had stirred up the locals with his sermons.don't tell me Poland's that bad in comparison.

Mind you an iman would be in loads more bother if he was drunk in a public place in saudi.

must have been on Sunday - Corpus Christi was on Thursday and it always involve a procession a lot further away from the churches - I don't consider myself Catholic but my mum often goes to church and she was busy preparing a little field altar (not on her own) at which the procession would stop on its way.

KODerasts

My translation of the Polish koderaści. A play on pederaści. The French used the term fédéraste (a play on pédéraste) to describle those pushing for a United States of Europe.

If they walked around the church there msut have been four altars located thereabouts. Our own small parish in Żoliborz had maybe 400 at mass and the procession covering about a 1.5 km to the four altars and lasting 2 hours. The procession passes by our home so we decorate it with a crucifix, flowers and crossed Polish and Vatican flags.

Several thousand took part at the much larger St Stanislaus Kosta Church (Bl. Jerzy's parish) nearby.

Elegant.

No, none outside the building.

Ultimately this thread is about that naughty bishop, anyway.
