but you have purposefully misquoted me like a gutter journalist, what I said was, and is clearly stated above, its NOT ANYONE'S BUSINESS ON PF, in fact I think this thread is a total breach of trust of a whole family, but hey, they're just immigrants,so it doesn't matter?

I don't think you should be publicising other people's private affairs to this extent as you could easily be identified.

You do have a good point here, however, no one in the polish community where I live uses PF and I use a different name anyway and the initials of the people involved plus the exact country in the middle east (of the partner) have been changed.

A gutter journalist ?

Actually it is a genuine enquiry, there is no breech of confidentiality here as everyone seemed to know about the case before me, it was suggested that i help out by some one close to M and her daughter, they asked me for help and discussed it all in front of many people! I have done what I can to maimtain confidentiality incase relatives in different areas may use PF. I decided to discuss this on Pf because QUITE FRANKLY I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ANY MOTHER WHO IS SUPPOSEDLY WORRIED ABOUT HER SON COULD BE SO UTTERLY INERT AND UNHELPFUL!!!! I was astounded by the lack of help and useful suggestions from the community, my partner and the whole lot.! I thought maybe I was misunderstanding some cultural aspect of the case!

but hey, they're just immigrants,so it doesn't matter?

As for that remark it's beneath contempt, I would feel exactly the same if it were a british family and my parents are immigrants!!!

Any sincere insights into how to approach this would be welcome as i don't want to refuse help but i don't know how to handle the situation.

weell, there is

I thought maybe I was misunderstanding some cultural aspect of the case!

nah you just wanted a gossip

I would feel exactly the same if it were a british family

I beg to differ, if so why are you dribbling about "cultural aspects"?

Have some respect for the members of this family, especially the kid, by not discussing them on a public forum. If THEY need help there are agencies and organisations that offer that.

What kind of a "friend" are you?

Certainly doesn't sound like it to me. Sounds to me like the mother has a problem with alcohol and the father is reacting appropriately (although the mother might want to consider making sure the child can not be taken out of the UK, I really would not fancy her chances of getting the kid back from Iraq if the father takes him there).

I'm sorry, but how can you help someone that based on your version of events, clearly doesn't want to help themselves??

1) Let's just say there is a reason why I don't date women from Eastern Europe and why Your Polish partner happens to be dating You ( I presume You're English ). Some stereotypes didn't exactly appear out of thin air. The girl You describe is the embodiment of quite a few of them.

2) You will not be able to help someone who is unwilling to receive help.

3) It is highly likely that they will "work out their differences" and You'll be no longer allowed into their household due to Abdul Abdullah not liking Your role in all this.

I don't think you should be publicising other people's private affairs to this extent as you could easily be identified. This is certainly not anyone on PF's business. Are you a "friend" of the family or acting in a "professional" capacity? Besides, nationality is immaterial in this, you have no excues for using this forum for this.

^^^^
This.

OP: There are legal issues here, yet you're posting details (and your location/occupation) on a public forum?? Either get real, or stop trolling.
