Why oh Why do Poles drive so incredibly poorly

hahaha No, I have no contact with it. I even don`t know how and where to buy some.

The problem is that my experiences have taught me that nothing is only white or black in life. That is why when you express such one-sided opinions , I prefer to remain cautious because it is highly possible they are just private opinions, not neccesarily based on true facts, but on your imagination and daydreaming or simply a bad day.

They are bad drivers but they are getting better - a big reason is that the roads are getting better and that makes people less impatient. The roads are also being built in a safer way - more bike lanes and traffic islands. I used to dread a long drive but now don't really think about it.

The par, king is not getting better however - Poles are terrible for their parking entitlements. One of the worst things is them parking in the disabled and family spaces while they go shopping.

It happened a few years ago, now it is very rare as the police are merciless. I don`t remember when I last saw such illegal parking. Yes, last year, once.

i might be slightly biased, I admit, but in my wide driving experience Polish drivers in the UK are fecking awful, with little consideration for other road users.

I don't hang back/ resist overtaking for fun, or because of my "imagination", or '"my bad day" (whatever that means?)

No, it is for practical and real reasons.

There, is that better?

Why should you be so? :):)

There, is that better?

Not really, I asked you about an average ratio of bad Polish drivers you have seen on the road. :))

7 Feb 2020 #36
why? because there are so many Polish drivers round here. Local slaughterhouse y'see. Attracts them like wasps to a sugar pot.
Other reasons i cannot go into here.
pawian 223 | 24,389

How do you know they are Polish? Do they drive their Polish cars? I thought those many Polish immigrants you are talking about usually buy British cars to drive in the UK? Yes, quite curious I am now. :):)
rozumiemnic 8 | 3,862
7 Feb 2020 #38
Yes they drive their cars from Poland.
YOu are right, the ones that drive with UK plates are even scarier, because they cant be identified.
pawian 223 | 24,389
7 Feb 2020 #39
Yes they drive their cars from Poland.

I suppose such drivers are vast minority. I know a few Poles who left for the UK but none took their car. They were all planning to buy cars on spot.

YOu are right, the ones that drive with UK plates are even scarier, because they cant be identified.

hahaha I see you are in a really serious mental condition. It must be a terrible life for you there in the UK - living in such fear every day. But I can`t blame you now. Probably I would also get so hysterical if I were you. :):)
rozumiemnic 8 | 3,862
7 Feb 2020 #40
Pawian, in the course of this conversation you have dismissed my lived experience as 'imagination' ' my bad day' 'forgetfulness' and 'hysteria', and that i 'have a mental condition'. Just WTF?

I have really hit a nerve haven't I?
Would you talk to another man like that? I dont think so.
Get a grip of your responses and some self awareness.

I am merely reporting what i have observed, in the country where I , you know..live.

Would you talk to a man like that? I dont think so.

Of course, if he came here to present solely the black side of his miserable life, I would. Come on. I love all women. More than men. Gender has nothing to do in this conversation. :):)

in the course of this conversation you have dismissed my lived experience

But in the course of the conversation I found out you are simply stretching things beyond the horizon. It is wrong while I have always taken care of truth and plausibility in the forum. Truth and Logic are my second names!

Ha!

I am merely reporting what i have observed, in the country where I , you know..live.

Yes, what you seem to be reporting is that you have seen a few Polish cars in the UK and the drivers were awful. In result, you claim all Polish drivers are awful. Don`t you think it is a bit infantile logic? :):)

Sex (not gender) has everything to do with being dismissed as 'hysterical' and 'having a mental condition'.just because you have an opinion. Check your arrogant responses.

I dont come here to present the black side of anyone's miserable life, thank you. My life is far from miserable. I was responding to the thread title, because it IS an issue round here, sorry if you dont care for facts and the reality of other peop-le's lives in countries where you dont live.

It's like if some Polish person said that they were upset by the English drinking too much in Krakow. I wouldnt tell them it was their imagination and they they were quite wrong about the English, because it is their lived experience

You are again imagining things. I ask male members not to get hysterical, too. If you didn`t notice it, it means you visit the forum too rarely. It is not my fault.

I dont come here to present the black side of anyone's miserable life, thank you.

I thought you did when you said that the ones that drive with UK plates are even scarier, because they cant be identified.. :)

I wouldnt tell them it was their imagination and they they were quite wrong about the English, because it is their lived experience

Yes, I read about such cases but I don`t claim all Brits behave in this way. Do I suggest you run naked and drunk in Krakow like those lumpenproletariat Brits from headlines?
rozumiemnic 8 | 3,862
7 Feb 2020 #44
yes, well that bit is true. Again, it's fact. If one sees that shaved head and little roll of neckfat on the bod behind the wheel, one hangs back..:)

Look i am not saying that Polish are the ONLY bad drivers in the UK, but if there were a 'top ten' they would be up there, along with Indian geriatrics. I am quite sure that in India at some point in the past, one just bought a licence, with no test..

Are you misunderstanding me wilfully Pawian? We know some English run riot when abroad. Me denying that is like you denying that some Polish drivers are atrocious, and arrogant with it.

Yes, Milo, but your newest source is 7 years old. Anything newer? :):)

Besides, your links are a bit useless coz I can offer you similar links about other nations.
thelocal.fr/20190201/tailgating-is-a-national-habit-readers-reveal-how-bad-french-drivers-really-are

Simply speaking, to claim that Polish drivers are the worst in Europe you should have done some research. You havent`, that is why your subjective opinion must be considered as imagining things. :):)

is it drink Pawian? Have you started early?
It's really odd coming to a forum where people give their opinions, to give an opinion, only to be told that you are here to 'present the black side of your miserable life'.

Projection perhaps.
pawian 223 | 24,389

Me denying that is like you denying that some Polish drivers are atrocious, and arrogant with it.

Some! So, you are slowly becoming more objective at last. Good. Thank you. That is enough. :):)

is it drink Pawian? Have you started early?

No. :)): Why do you suggest marijuana and drinking while I only demand a little doze of objectivism from you? hahaha

only to be told that you are here to 'present the black side of your miserable life'.

Not your, but his. I didn`t say it about you. I meant male members you alluded to. Where do you take such suppositions from? You are constantly seeing things which didn `t take place. :))

You are constantly seeing things which didn `t take place. :))

well perhaps i could put it down to your poor use of English, but I doubt it. You know exactly what you said, dont try and backtrack and blame me now.

I am perfectly objective thank you. Do not try and patronise me, it's pathetic.

I wondered if you were stoned or drunk because you dont really sound quite rational or...normal.., and you sound rather spiteful, if you want to know.
pawian 223 | 24,389

Read my last post............stats are from 2018.

Yes, that is some research. But it doesn`t say Polish drivers are the worst in Europe and that was your claim. :):)

i could put it down to your poor use of English,

First marijuana, then drinking, now poor command of English. What else have you got for me? hahaha

and you sound rather spiteful, if you want to know.

My first name is Pawian, if you want to know. :)

Do not try and patronise me, it's pathetic.

Don`t tell me what to do or not in the forum. It is ridiculous. :))
rozumiemnic 8 | 3,862
7 Feb 2020 #53
nobody said they were the 'worst in Europe', they merely gave their anecdotes and opinions, and you got unreasonably upset by that.
Step away from the bottle, do yourself a favour.
Sure you can make your little attempts to patronise me, if that's how you like to relate to people, but it's still pathetic.
Miloslaw 19 | 4,925
7 Feb 2020 #54
But it doesn`t say Polish drivers are the worst in Europe and that was your claim. :):)

I can only go by my own experiences and have never driven in the very few countries that are worse than Poland.

And did you see which country has the safest drivers?

That his why we Brits can spot bad drivers a mile off...........
pawian 223 | 24,389
7 Feb 2020 #55
nobody said they were the 'worst in Europe', they merely gave their anecdotes and opinions

You are imagining things as usual. :) Let me offer you a little reminder:

They are certainly the worst in Europe

Step away from the bottle.

Your obsession proves you must have a drinking problem. :):) It shows coz you don`t remember what people have just said in the discussion.
rozumiemnic 8 | 3,862
7 Feb 2020 #56
in fact i don't drink these days, the Polish put me off..
I made that comment about your English because you were claiming that something you had written had a quite different meaning to the words on the page...ergo either your English must be shyte or you are babbling nonsense.
Miloslaw 19 | 4,925
7 Feb 2020 #57
But it doesn`t say Polish drivers are the worst in Europe

No.

But it does say that they are bloody awful and almost the worst in Europe.
Which you denied.
Or are you another bad Polish driver?
pawian 223 | 24,389
7 Feb 2020 #58
But it does say that they are bloody awful and almost the worst in Europe.

I am sorry Milo but you seem to have ignored my words when I said your source doesn`t prove your previous claim. Why? Because it only relates the number of accident fatalities in particular countries. Now, can you do some research and distinguish which accident fatality was caused by a bad Polish driver and which by other factors? :))

I don't know if Polish drivers are the worst in Europe, but they are probably the most reckless.

I remember driving in Ireland for over three years - it was an idyll compared to everyday struggle on Polish roads. The traffic law is OK, but it really needs to be enforced more firmly, and fines for infringements of it should be raised significantly.

It happened a few years ago, now it is very rare as the police are merciless

Sorry, but fully disagree on this. I have lived here for 5 years and have never during that time see a policeman ever ticket an illegally or unethically (handicapped spot without a handicapped emblem) parked vehicle. Nor have I seen a cop ever reprimand or ticket the numeroius idiots that stop in the middle of a road in front of a shop, bank, etc., or to drop someone off or wait for someone, put on their hazards, and leave their car for the rest of us to go around. The police are only merciless in their laziness and ineptitude. The city could make a fortune in penalty revenue and teach the drivers to obey the rules of the road.
