All the US tech works really well the problem is that like China the US government dictates how they operate and the US oligarchs willingly oblige. Anyway my own quest is going well - I finally had a a macdonald's last week (just a coffee) but still no Starbucks etc and managed a 4 day trip to Britain with zero consumption of US food or drink - will look up who owns Pret now, I know Macs sold it.

Nokia make tablets. Well, Nokia licence their name, the tablets are designed in Finland by a company run by ex Nokia staff and then manufactured in China, India or Vietnam. Not 100% European but certainly no US involvement. Also, unlike Apple products, you can decide what OS to run on those tablets.

There are a few reasons for it

And now it's 15%, despite the US having signed deals with many countries promising tariffs at 10%. Clearly the US can no longer be trusted to follow through on any deals signed by taco Chump's minions, so there's no point bothering to try to negotiate any deal. Or at least not until November, after that adults will be in charge in the US.
If you live in Poland and don't use the American social media and don't watch Hollywood movies, you can live 100% American stuff-free. Poles don't need American alcohol, foods, cars, or clothes to thrive.
