Shipping 120cm x 100cm x 15cm package from Poland to USA

Hello,

I am in a wheelchair and have found a great new piece of tech that appears to be available only in Poland!
bodymapsystem.com/p/back-cushion-with-headrest-and-lateral-support-bodymap-c

Unfortunately I have been told that it is difficult to ship a large package to usa - only fedex will do it, and they want ~900 euro, which is more than the cushion costs.

Any advice you folks have will be very much appreciated.

This Polish built cushion would greatly improve my quality of life.

Thank You!
Ben

Get in touch with Polonez Parcel Service in Massachusetts. They specialize in parcels from the USA to Poland but they might have contacts who do it the other way round.

Thank you Harry, unfortunately from their FAQ:
3. Do you send parcels from Europe to the USA ?
As of today, unfortunately we do not send parcels from Europe to the USA. We are currently working on improving our services so in the nearest future we will be able to add it to our service list.

Don't use a parcel service. They are way too expensive for heavy or voluminous goods. Try to find a shipping agent that has a regular service to the US and offers so-called consolidated containers (= many shipments of different senders in one container). The costs are quite low compared to parcel services, but the shipping time is much longer. Usually 4 to 6 weeks to the US, depending where you live.

unfortunately from their FAQ:

Yes, but that text is from at least 2009. Drop MichaƂ an email and ask him what the current situation is.

Out of interest, where do you want this sent to? I'm half tempted to take it myself if you pay the airfare (Chicago starts at $450 return from Warsaw).
