3 reasons why you hate Poland.

Why don't you just get on the next plane that leaves Poland then and do us all a favour.

Because there are many more 'cons' about the UK, for example so many people who just like to flame on the internet when somebody states their opinion.

My list is simply a list of likes and dislikes, this does not mean I hate the country. On the contrary, I find the difficulties I am experiencing in this country to be character building and are giving me a true insight into the country and culture. As I settle into Polish life and summer returns, no doubt there will be many more good things I see.

Oh, I forgot to mention architecture as a good point!

No, coming to the point of promoting Poland. Do we want dictatorship style propogander or honest personal opinions and discussions? Personally, I feel the discussions are much more powerful. I may see something as bad, somebody else may see it as good. Through intelligent, mature discussion, we can find a common ground. If we all thought the same, what a boring world this would be. Communism anybody?

I have to say that I don't hate Poland at all. I lived there for a time, really only about a year or so. While there were things that I disliked, I would have to say that anything negative that I experienced was certainly NOT limited to Poland or the Poles. I find spending time in places like NYC for instance, far far more annoying and frustrating than anything that I experienced in Poland.

I agree with you. Its been over a year and although its not all roses no place is. I have lived in other places as well and its fine here. No matter where you go there you are. If you dont like yourself than you wont like anyplace. I mean you as in one not anybody in particular.

So you take these peoples word for it, and think you wouldn't want to live there? You're playing right into their filthy hands...

Jesus Filios what's wrong with you man? Let it slide...

3 things I hate about Poland:

1. Line skipping, people skip in line like it's in the constitution, I've been in situations where a person would suddenly appear next to me in the middle of the line, with the clear intention of 'racing' me to the register..

2. people staring without any shame.

3. people who stare at me while attempting to skip me in line.

Other than that I've gotten over my initial misgivings, Poland's good.

I doubt you actually "hate" them. Hate is a very strong emotion and I seriously doubt you feel that at all for Poland or for Polish people. Hate is reserved for dictators and murderers and rapists (for example).

This feeling is not unknown for ordinary people. Just duo to many reasons they somehow manage abandon physical actions.

You may dislike Polish people and you may even dislike an entire nation but perhaps you'd like to provide an in depth reasoning as to why? Never mind saying they are toilet cleaners or any of that other nonsense you come out with. If you have a legitimate dislike of all things Polish then please explain it fully, without swearing, without silly pictures and without blaming them for all that is wrong with this country (actually it's the government that's wrong with this country and not the people living here).

Do you really want to know what he really think? Better to ignore such people, he is on my list of "people to debate" somewhere between Robert Mugabe and Britney Spears.

No worries here. I used to think it was bad. Now I think it's just another slavic feature. Just part of the whole picture. It's completely similar to Russia. I hate it every time ater the US then get used.

by all means do not go to india. they are the worst or best line skippers and starers. I got into a nice shoving match last time I was there although I actually enjoyed it and had a laugh about it with the guy later when he was standing behind me

The food.

I find it amusing that people from USA, Uk ( countires with top processed, greasy, unhealthy food iand streets full of obese people) criticise polish food.

Ok- people have different tastes and like different food but polish food is at least freshly cooked.

Not baked beans from tins...carrots from tins....potatoes from tins....soups from tins.....

3 reasons why do you hate Poland.

1.Local girls look too ugly compared to polish ones.
2.Polish discos are full of hot girls while local discos are full of uglies.
3.Poland is very far.

Three reasons:

1. Sygnalki - especially from people who have expensive and new cellphones. Why not have a cheaper one and actually be able to use it.

2. No change in the shops - my local grocery empties all the coins from the cash register several times a day and therefore they never have change. No sense in this.

3. The food. Pork, cabbage, pork, raw grated vegetables (including cabbage) in sugary water, pork, smalec, pork, frozen fries. And more pork.

Where do you eat? Not that I have anything against raw vegetables. But the pork and lard thing. Where do you eat, for chrissakes?

this thread is stupid .. the poster isnt even around and was a trouble maker anyways.

its plain and simple. if you hate it then dont go there!! if you cant help but go there, then go but shut up!! no one cares if you hate it or dont ..

this post isnt a helpful post , its a post meant to upset people .. as the poster tried to do over and over.. and admitted to it.. so why keep this crappy thread.

this thread belongs in the trash.. all in favor say trash!!

its useless, its degrading, and has the word hate on it.

I have two Polish lodgers who spend hours in the kitchen doing things with cabbages, eggs, sugar, more sugar, handfuls of salt and pork in every form.

I'm still not convinced. I spent almost 15 years doing the housewife thing in Poland, and I am Polish, and I used a Polish cookbook etc., but never in my life have I come across the weird combinations you seem to be describing. ;-)

Maybe your lodgers are not the most gifted of cooks?

Ahem, irony.... All of those things, not in one dish though.

But they are pretty dreadful cooks.

There is a real case for immigrants to a country to be able to vent their annoyance at day-to-day things (better to be nice in real life "yes, Pani, your jamnik is so sweet when it craps in my garden") - this is just healthy

so your a immigrant and want better food or different food?

my thoughts are be glad you have any food at all. ya ingrate.

Did it ever occur to you to try and stick those frozen fries in the oven for 15 minutes? Try it. Not eas crunchy as the frozen one but you make like them better.

btw. do you prefer American style beef and chicken with a "healthy" doze of antibiotics?

All of those things, not in one dish though.

Yeah, I understand. But even broken down into different dishes, you seem to be describing either pork with sugar, or lard with salt, or pork with lard, or... Your list of ingredients just doesn't add up, neither as a whole nor broken down into smaller units. For example, I made cauliflower soup and pork chops in onion sauce with potato dumplings the other day. Would you say I used onions, pork, cream, salt, and flour? Because I did, but this list does not actually say anything about what I actually cooked. And I used a helluva lot of other stuff as well. I just can't seem to think of any dishes which would comprise solely or mainly of

cabbages, eggs, sugar, more sugar, handfuls of salt and pork in every form.

Never eaten American beef (never been to US) but the chicken from supermarkets here is just as tasteless as anywhere else.

Amen...yet another myth. Polish food and produce is not somehow healthier than the USA. Do you really think Polish businesses don't inject growth hormones and anitbiotics into livestock? All places do whatever they can to maximize profits. And if you say "But it is not allowed and they test for it" I have ocean front land to sell you in Warsaw...good price...better hurry many people are interested.

And Jonni...the change things cracked me up! I swear they spend 5 minutes asking you for change no matter what the total is. Do you have 87gr? No...53? No...34? No I don't have change. It could be an even ZL number and they would ask for "100gr??" Then they look at you pissy and finally take the money as if you are trying to ruin their day. It is definitely a thing specific to PL.
