A few of mine, 2007-2009.

Some people in Wroclaw. They had dared to criticise English women on PF, and had heard that me and Shelley were in town, so they were hiding :D

The day the Polish volleyball champions returned from Turkey:

Plenty of very small Polish people in this photo, lol:

Polish people surrounded by German people (well, it is Gdansk, lol):

A Polish family next to a very Polish exhibition in Prague:

Beckski, how did you like Poland? Did I miss any daily journals that you posted? :)

That would be inappropriate. She looks 16 but I think she is 18 or 19. No no, everyday life is what is needed here and that certainly wasn't typical of shops and streets ;) ;)

Pawian has some good photos but in another thread somewhere.

Poland was so remarkable. I've posted a few vacation photos on this thread. There's also some on my thread pertaining to traveling to Warszawa. Here's some photos from Lublin:

Nice :) I think those of us who live in the UK forget how difficult it must be for American Polonia to visit Poland - we can go there on a coach!!! :) :D lol

So it seems like the "Polish Manchester" actually looks like the real thing :)

Well they recently renew few manufacture complexes but they are just a drop in a sea of demolished manufacture buildings...

Księży Młyn:

A gate to manufacrure complex year 2007:

"Manufaktura" shoping and entertaining centre (former manufacture complex of Izrael Poznański after revitalisation finished in 2006):

manu5

manufacture complex of Izrael Poznański is the same which played "main role" in Ziemia Obiecana by Andrzej Wajda (the locations of the movie). Even though it looks pretty after revitalisation they have demolished many buildings... some say that too many...

EC1 (elektrociepłownia 1) in £ódź

outside:

(can't find any more pictures... wonder why, its really nice building)

Lol, it was a candid shot. It was rather strange seeing construction workers who weren't short, dark Latinos. That's the scenario I'm accustomed to seeing in California.

Sadly, the Latino construction workers are replacing the polish/irish/italian looks in Chicago as well...
Are we going to see some more pictures? It had to be awesome to see the relatives. Were you able to communicate with some of them in english?
