Why do they legally make cars that exceed the country's speed limit by far

They do produce them for drivers riding on German highways without limits. 🚘

They do produce them

And they get six car pile ups with three dead like the one last night near me.

It's alcohol, not cars, that's at fault.

And drivers.

Why allow cars that go so fast?

For engine life is the main technical reason

And for emergencies is another - if ever I have to drive away from an army of drunk invading North Nigerian rapists then it won't be at 90 kmh

Fully automated / driverless car are coming.. I doubt they will ever exceed the speed limit; if they did, they would violate the road rules and would never be allowed on roads. My initial point is valid.

In China and the USA, but not in Europe.

The weird behavior of the tech bros is probably a step backwards for self driving cars

2 years ago I was open minded about it. Now I'm not at all sure about having Musk or Zuckerberg (and ultimately the govt) know all my travel plans

@cms neuf
They (the government) already know your plans, who you communicate with, what you buy, what you watch and read. They know your medical information and so on. Edward Snowden revealed the extent of government spying on citizens and he had to flee to Russia, Russia decided to force all tech companies to host Russian data in Russia. This move was described as evil Russia etc and the story was brushed under the carpet.

The weird, socially dysfunctional tech bros only got their monopolies by bribery and US economic pressure around the world. Its something the EU in particular should be ashamed of as the internet fragments into siloes. A brilliant, basically open source resource given to the world has been destroyed by the US congress enabling a tiny few to monetise it and turn it to sh1t.

Edward Snowden revealed

Far from the first. The appalling Snowden was beaten to it years before by the appalling Duncan Campbell (the other journalist of that name, not the dead one that was married to Julie Christie).

There's a difference though. Snowden is a generation younger and the tech has developed and continues to develop. When Campbell did it ion TV n the UK. tatty old databases with punch cards were just being transferred to fairly basic computers. Now they can tie a lot together (though not always well). r*SSia and China are probably the worst for doing that regarding their own citizens (and we are all of us on databases in China).

Google the term Cliodynamics. Tech companies and governments are using your data (and your great great granny's data) for this right now.

and he had to flee to Russia

He really didn't.

has been destroyed by the US congress enabling a tiny few to monetise it and turn..

The US are not at the forefront of this. China do it far more. It particularly affects UK and Japanese citizens (due to the way historical data and records are kept and preserved in those places) however people in Poland don't need to worry as much.

Hard to know what this is to do with driving standards in Poland though.

Now I'm not at all sure about having Musk or Zuckerberg (and ultimately the govt) know..

All sorts of countries, (including military regimes in the worst parts of the world) know every flight you have booked in the past couple of years and any chain hotels or hotel booking services you have used.

What is appalling about either individual?
